  • Recently fixed up this old but sturdy 561A Tektronix that a friend had gifted me. Had some fun configuring it to work for X/Y oscilloscope music. The scope is modular in that you can swap the two main interfaces. For this setup I use a 3A6 (dual-trace) and 3A72 (two-channel amplifier). Output from a PC via Sound Blaster AE-7 3.5mm headphone jack to RCA stereo. Then from RCA to BNC. The 3A72 has UHF inputs, so also used a UHF to BNC adapter. I played it back at 24-bit 48kHz but may've obtained slightly more optimal quality playing it back at 32-bit 96kHz.
