Oh dear. I've only just discovered Oscilloscope music in the last couple of hours after being out of the electronics game for 20 odd years. After recently 'acquiring' a Tektronix 465 the poor thing won't know what's hit it tomorrow.
Soo clever! We should be streaming every single one of these into a high power transmitter into space! :D So simple yet so clever how beats and visuals are hand-in-hand

This is incredibly cool and interesting. Most of this is very clever phase modulation with pitch essentially only acting as frames per second right? An oscilloscope only draws the compression and rarefaction as fast as the frequency, which is pitch right? In order to get these advanced shapes you're having to modify waveforms in interesting ways. The resulting sound is quite stunning. You're onto something here.
Watching this makes me think you may peering behind the universe's curtain. Thank you for the time you've spent experimenting with this mind blowing discovery. I feel I've had a weekend of tripping balls and going deaf watching these awesome videos, but in seriousness it's been a mind opening experience.
Reminds me a video game I use to play called battlezone...it only had the green screen, no colors, loved that game...I almost got the world record playing it in a competition..898000 poinst, the record was 1,000,000.
Can you make a chamber to fill with a gas/plasma* that you could do this in three dimensions with actual sound waves? *Maybe take some base elements and see what you can whip up. ;)
Damn. I wish this stuff existed back in 2000. My grandfather had an oscilloscope in the basement but I never thought it could be used for stuff like this.
I keep on finding myself back to this one video time, and time again. Ive listened to a bunch of jerobeam's stuff, but this is special to me. The way this neon green imagery pulsates and flows with with harsh, mechanical, and sychidelic synthesized "music" is like mental white noise to me. I can just turn off my brain and experience pure nonsense.

Good god man you're a genius! Have you ever shown your work in an art space or gallery? This would fit in with Ryoji Ikeda quite well. He might be intimidate actually haha
Now im going to go through the rest of my life trying to picture what sounds look like in my head
like 90% of sounds look like noise
sorry :(
i suggest using the left ear as a X cord on a 2d plane and the right ear on a y plane thats how oscillascopes work via sounds/music

Now this is true art. I need to convince my electronics instructor to grant me permission to use the lab oscilloscopes for these!
make sure they're on x y mode
And make sure that your DAC really can into 192k (FFFFuuuuuucking 20k lowpass filter on realteks)
Did you convince him?
Guess we'll never know
is there a way i can use software that acts as an osciloscope?

we need to send these sounds into space. If any alien life would be able to pick these up, they would know for sure that these sounds are not natural
that is a human brain that thinks that. If we mapped a lot of the spectrum into audible we could find stufff like this.
pretty sure like ariana grande or whatever would work better
