    Does the pregnant thing work for men too?

    • @jonnib
      @jonnib  Год назад

      Definitely not as natural looking on a man, but I’m sure you could get away with it if you wanted to!
      I made another video with a different method that I tested and it worked, and that might be better for you! Here’s the link: ruclips.net/video/fvh85TKR9B0/видео.htmlsi=6D5hKAQ-5txtO2fW

    Yeah i ended up paying $104 for a check bag bc i didnt make good cuts and ended up checking it in at the gate.... Lesson learnt i will prepare better next time. Even if i thew out underwear/socks, you can purchase those at ur lication.... Round trip ended up costing 104 +70 (return bag)

    For Allegiant, can I use a bag that is slightly bigger than the dimensions if it isn’t completely full and can be smashed down to fit in their sizer? I swear, they use the dumbest dimensions. I’ve searched everywhere online for a 7x15x16 bag and they literally don’t exist, except for one on Amazon that is cheap and terrible quality made of flimsy material. Why would they use dimensions that are impossible to find

    Love it. Good try. $100 is a scam. Straight up. But love the pregnant bag.

    I have been RACKING my brain using every last second of procrastination from studying to scour the depth of the internet for a bag that fits the Frontier personal carry-on dimensions, and for that exact same flight to PR but from NYC.. I bought the all-you-can-fly package a few months ago and plan on traveling *literally all I can(even if just airport to airport and close proximity to the airport)* before my clinical rotations in the fall, so it's important that any hack I adopt HAS to be repeatable. The problem I'm considering is not knowing if you can physically push the bag with your hands into the measurement box they have at the gate so it'll fit! Since most of the travel bags I've found are a few inches longer than what's on frontiers website idk if it'll work even if the bag is squishy!
    The bag you posted seems almost perfect dimension-wise! It's a few inches longer, and I'm just not totally sold on the construction for repeated wear and tear, esp since some brands offer better warranties.
    I found some other options. The REI roadtripper 40 bag *usually around $30* (Dimensions
    21 x 10 x 10 inches - Item #195806 on rei.com) looks like it might be a good option if you can push it into the dimensions box. Also Deuter makes the carry on pro 36 L which seems like it might fit (Via Amazon - Product Dimensions 21.65 x 13.39 x 9.06 inches - a.co/d/03Zgkva). Patagonia, Osprey and even Eagle Creek have a bunch of similar options! I like the compression straps on the sides of the bags which makes them pack tighter. I also have some packing cubes from Walmart which were on sale for $1.50. I like your idea about looking pregnant rofl. Unfortunately, i'm already large and a dude! I do plan on wearing multiple shirts under my jacket, and have a 6L Patagonia sling pouch I'd strap on my back, under my jacket and use to store anything I'd need quick access to along with a water bottle i'd have in hand. I also purchased a larger phone which kinda doubles as a computer/tablet (also bought a super cheap roll-up bluetooth keyboard) with a an s-pen so I don't have to pull out my tablet or laptop.
    So wait, you fill your "pillow" with clothes, and they don't make you add it into the personal carry-on box along with your other bag? That is genius! I plan on wearing a Patagonia packable jacket which comes with two deeeeep inseam pouches that i'll try to stuff with whatever soft stuff I can fit. I also like the travel pillow idea bc i'm large enough to use your 'pregnant pack' as a travel pillow.
    I am hoping to spend no more than $200 USD on gear strictly used for travel-hacking for the entire summer, including any bags and/or containers. Since I am SSSSO poor, I might just end up using an osprey porter 30L, and the Patagonia jacket, and sling since I already own them. I am a SUCKER for clearance, and sales items tho.. Found this site which posts crazy deals with GOOD brands, from time to time - www.sierra.com/
    I really appreciate this video and that more people are posting their Frontier travel hacks! Screw their scammy ass, racket of a system! Please post more hacks!
    EDIT: I seem to ALWAYS.. overpack..

    If I wear a hoodie and can fit 6 pairs of socks in the pockets everything else fits in my personal Item. If I wear my hoodie on the plane and take it off once I sit down do you think I would get away with this.

      I think you would cuz the socks are in your pocket, besides for tsa, airlines can't make you take stuff out of your pockets.

      I’ve seen plenty of men with beer bellies 🤷🏻‍♀️ if you have a jacket with big pockets you can split between that and pillow until you get on the plane, maybe that would be more comfortable!

    Frontier is giving their folks $10 per bag if they catch you at ticket counter or gate and you pay that $100. They try to make everyone size the bag.😡 love the temporary pregnancy 😆.

    Just a heads up, as a pilot who works for one of the two airlines I can tell you that this will fail at some point and you'll be out $100 each way. Pay the $25 at purchase and buy the carry-on. While the bag pricing is carrier specific, the bag count and definition is a Federal Regulation. Your crossbody bag is actually considered your personal item!

    • @jonnib
      @jonnib  Год назад +7

      I promise if it was 25 to add a carry on, I would. The last time I bought a one way flight it was 69$ to add a carry on, which was half the cost of my ticket. I’d rather take the risk.
      In this case I STILL paid less than I would have if I had pre-paid for a carry on, because it worked on the first. I will still be doing it again next time.
