I ❤ the cat with two different eye colors!
I literally laughed out loud when you showed your full cart!! Like I always say "Go Big or Go Home!" Way to go!!
Those brass rings would've made cute wreaths for Christmas. Just add a pretty ribbon to them.
Just looking at older videos and I have learned so much about clothing . I’m a reseller but my specialty is hard goods. Thanks for having me look at clothing in a different respective.
If you can get quilts, blankets, or other like items for really cheap, people, especially crafters, will buy them from you despite minimal to moderate damage. That is because they often repurpose them into Christmas stockings, smaller baby blankets, ornament items such as mittens, & a vast array of different things. The items don't even need to be antique or handmade to be appealing. Even those more recent prints & patterns are sought after as they may invoke a childhood memory of a long gone favorite "blankie." The minute I saw the Pottery Barn quilt, my mind started racing, thinking of all the cute things I could make from it. So sometimes you may need to think outside the box & see items for not just what they are, but what they could be. 😊
Out of all the channels I subscribe to, I love yours the most! ❤
Thanks so much!! 💜
I am a master basketmaker. The one with the curliques would have brought about $80 to $100 back in the day in my booth, when baskets were popular. Now that the trend has passed, I still think it's worth about $40. I don't know if you could find an Ebay buyer who would appreciate it. It's a shame. BTW, that basket would have taken quite a few hours to weave...around 7 to 8 hours. People don't realize this. I wish you hadn't put it back.
Can I ask how you became a master basketmaker? When did you first become interested in it and how many hours did it take you to achieve this? Very curious ☺️
Wow, makes me appreciate mine even more. I thrifted a planter style one in the same style and I really love it. So unique imo. I thrift a lot and rarely see them. What a wonderful skill you have mastered. Thank you for the information!
I loved that basket, the workmanship was amazing!
I would have definitely got the Coleman cooler that was in great shape and Coleman items sell extremely well on eBay that is an excellent Goodwill store mine is extremely small overpriced every other thing is chipped cracked some issue thanks Karen for another fun and informative video
Right now I have quite a few larger items so I’m being disciplined 🫣😂
Can’t believe the way Goodwill tapes on the outside paint finish, of items like the red lacquer box. It just makes ya want to scream! The could tape to the inside at least.
I love shopping with you. You go slow so we can see things too. Do a great job.❤❤
Lol I'm like the cat. I have two different eye colors too
Hi!the Zippered vest from Wanakame is from Sundance. I have that very one and love it. So warm and cozy.
Thank you so much for sharing Karen🤗💕.. I love your thrift with me videos🤗💕🙏🏼
Oh my goodness Karen, I actually laughed out loud when I saw the giant metal detector in your cart! 🤣
Love love both the boxes!
Love the vest!!?.. thank you Karen…have a great afternoon with Roger🥀
That green plastic thing so pretty
Wow, you scared me when you showed your cart filled to the max. But you found a lot of great items. You go girl.
This is one of my favorite Goodwills, especially with the farmers market nearby for lunch
One cart, two carts - as long as you're finding great stuff keep 'em comin'! Great things today! Thanks for the fun, education and LCL binge with my coffee.
Karen all items in the store with the color tag will be 50% off including hard goods and shoes. On Tuesday everything goes to 2.00 with that color tag. I am in Pa and have been taking advantage of the new color tag system. I did great on 2.00 Tuesday!
Karen I learn so much from you!! Thank you for all the effort you put in to your videos!!
I could watch you all day. Love your attitude and knowledge.
Thanks so much Lynne! 🥰💜
Good morning Karen
Always happy to see your new video.
The basket that has Curly Qs the pattern is a quilled pattern.
Oh!! Yes Atomic! I can see that 💜
Very English. My sisters in both England and Ireland both wear these longer skirts. My sisters says it covers their varicose veins. They would never wear jeans, where as I live in jeans in the US. I would buy these for them 😘
You're hilarious with the moment of silence 😃 quite the shopping trip and loved the Asian trunk and vest at the end.
Heavy Brass Rings: look to be about the size and shape of the rings that decorate candle bases. The qty in the group suggests something commercial, like the Candle centerpieces in a restaurant dining room.
In the words of you…”all the craziness” and I’m here for it!🤣so much fun today, Karen!
Thank you for sharing your adventure! There's not a Goodwill near me, so I enjoy going with you!
I love your video’s they are great . Thanks for sharing with me. ❤❤
Hello from QLD Australia x
My favorite goodwill does not put the air on high. It’s always a bit warm in there. Thanks for sharing
DE is one abbreviation for Germany. As I recall, it goes back to Germany being called Deutschland.
Thanks for the craziness, I always enjoy your videos!
Wow! What a great thrifting day!
Hi Karen loved coming around with you sending lv Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow. Great haul. Big items.
Hi Karen!!❤️ Your stacked cart reminds me of my dishes in the drying rack. Sometimes I just stand back and admire how much I can pile it up😁
Wow Karen! That was an amazing haul! Thanks for taking us along. 💕
That lacquered box was gorgeous!
I always love watching your videos! So glad that you squeezed in some shopping for clothes!:
Amazing finds, the Goodwill was very large and clean.
So much to look at . Love the 2 boxes and the Coleman cooler was great. Really varied and interesting video Karen
Great finds Karen. I love that you walk us through your decision-making, even for the things you leave behind, or maybe I should say especially those things. I still want to pick up all the pretty things:))
Just a lovely lady with a lot of knowledge!!!
That is a huge Goodwill store. 😳 Anyway,...Good Video! Overall, I think Pennsylvania has good resale stores, with good merchandise selections, and unparalleled to most nationwide resale stores.
Cooler: in that condition (rust free chrome handles and the tray) I’d have grabbed the cooler. Shipping coolers FedExis easy enough, it’s all about having the right box.
Hello Karen, that store is huge. Thanks for doing the leg work for us😅. And I'm glad the visit paid off and you were able to find so many great items.
✨Awesome haul!! So much fun!💗 OK! Now, I have to head out to my favorite GW too! Thank you!!!✨😊🙌✨🌸🌸🌸
Wow,that Coleman cooler is Boss,so great condition
That is biggest goodwill I ever seen and I went to quite a few in the Houston tx. I would love to find one like that.
Loved this video!!!
Hi Karen,
You are so lucky to have such wonderful Goodwill stores where you live. Where I live they are small and full of junk. It's really sad. I love watching the great items you find. I can only dream.
Good Morning Karen!! Always a fun Thrift trip!!
Good morning Will! 😁
Everybody needs an embossed brass treasure chest to keep all their gold and silver in. We used to have one back in the day my Dad kept kindling in by the fireplace. Looks like you did a little shopping today Karen. lol When you can't see over the pile of stuff in your cart its time to check out.
That Shillington store is huge.,😁🐱♥️
GREAT VIDEO...Thanks!
All the little nuggets you dish out are adding up to be quite a pile. Thanks 😊
My favorite one "no death piles"
Susan Gregor don’t know who that brand is but who cares that shirt is beautifully made.
I think your Goodwill stores are cleaner than ours here in AZ.
Hi Karen! I’m glad that you explained that you don’t go through every single item in the clothes section. It does take hours and I am not a reseller. I two go back-and-forth from the hard goods to the clothes just to make sure I’m not missing a treasure laying on the shelf. Thank you for pointing out what you buy and what brands as you always do. I do like Susan Graver items and they are quite expensive on the QVC channel. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with reselling her items! I was hoping you would pick up the cat because I would like to buy him he looks like my kitty. LOL. Did Roger buy the North face jacket that you found for him I like that also! Congrats also on your one year of dating Roger. You mentioned that a few videos ago and I forgot to tell you! 💖
That North Face pullover would be $12.99 minimum or higher here. And just a basic blouse would be $7.99 or higher. I am in WA state, South King County.
If you were a reseller and had to measure each and every item, document where it was made, what it's made of, take , 8 pictures of each item and put it on and off of a Mannequin. Only to have to sit on it for a long time and then pay all of the fees to only to wind up up with a very small profit you would probably agree with her.
Why.no Liz? just curious, I'm selling a lot because they were free for me, brand Liz&Me(not profitable?) Oh, and you're my favorite!! You're video's are so interesting to watch, I've learned so much from you!!!!
Victoria Australia here
The Gustin cats can sell for $20-$30, so you should look them up before you pass them by. Some only sell for $10, but they made lot of different styles. One sold just a few days ago for $34.95.
22:58 Sold at "import stores" along the highways in the 70s and 80s and 90s . As was that "treasure chest". Those kinda places that had big giant rugs with tiger faces , HUGE over-sized "Oriental" vases & rugs , huge elephant statues, etc. etc. 90% of it made in India / Taiwan / Hong Kong / China .
Metal Detector: many of them come apart in the center, the tube will be in 2 or even 3 sections, so they can ship in much smaller boxes.
Great finds! I love the chest.
" almost like that ". Lol
Brass Treasure Chest: looks like the type commonly kept next to the fireplace to hold kindling.
Hi! So the pair of chairs you showed are in fact antique, late 1800s. And the two chest boxes are vintage also, 60s.
Can you make vids a bit longer? I really LOVE your content & watch while listing on lunchtime & breaks...LOL that way I can linger a bit longer!
Thanks
How do you launder the mens suit jackets, like the Armani you picked up?
FH was field hockey, had crossed sticks.
Around the 2:37 mark, you mentioned that you never pick up Liz Claiborne. I was curious as to why. :) Isn't Liz Claiborne usually sold in stores like J.C. Penney & Kohls? :)
In Australia no one can make any money from selling on eBay. I was trying to sell 8 dressers , used only one time . I paid for all of them a lot. One was $500 for my daughters wedding. And no one want to buy even for $20. I have given all of them to charity shop.
Hey Karen! As usual loved shopping with you. Was just wondering why you don't pick up Liz Claiborne items. Love some of her older purses. I know you have your reason being such a wonderfully choosey reseller.
Liz Claiborne is a saturated market. Way too much out there and doesn't resell for a profit that makes it worth the time put it 😉
@@lorrieriddle4079 Thank you Lorrie !!
You should get Liz Claiborne. I buy a lot of her items. Oh well jmho
Hey Miss Karen, would you consider a space at an antique or vintage 🛒 shoppe?
Perhaps a small space; it doesn't have to be large but these big items that you're passing up are phenomenal and they're money makers in my unsolicited opinion.🐷🐖.
I don't know how you feel about that or even if you have the time to deal with it. I have seen girls and guys run ebay, a second platform's plus a small space at a busy shoppe with booth space. As full of life as you are girl, you could nail it! You could even split a 20x20 with Roger. Customers would love to see his different type of merchandise and yours in the same booth. You'd have men and women AND teens swarming your booth. thing. Everyone's life is different and you know they fill it in with what's the most important and and a lot of it could be family or are just real commitment to your eBay store which by the way is 3,000+ items showing. Dang!
Like that Chinese lacquered box or now the famous triple Pig stack. Oh my gosh that was the cutest thing ever.
Your jokes are corny haha, but not as bad as mine. People gravitate to you. You make us all laugh. Thought I'd just passed that by I'm sure you've thought have it. Ciao
DE is the abbreviation for Deutschland (Germany).
Actually. I have very good luck w graver items as bread and butter too
How many days per week do you go thrifting and approximately how many hours per week? Thrifting can be tiring and then when you get home the item has to be cleaned, photographed, etc. I’m just curious how you do it on this level. While I still love it all, it is a job, I do get tired and I want to balance it with family and home life. I’m 61 and have been reselling part time for 9+ years. I still love the thrill of the hunt.
The Susan Graver blouse is beautiful!
I usually thrift 3x a week minimum.. along with all the RUclips stuff, house maintenance etc…it’s a pace for sure
Always enjoy shopping with you! I like your orange colored handbag any chance you can pass on the brand name? Thanks!
Michael Kors 😁
Can you share what is your reason you never pick up Liz Claiborne clothing? thank you🥰😍🥰😍😄
it's a huge belt buckle LOL! I don't know.
Good morning Karen
Good morning Chandra!
Ice bucket looks Argentine
I’m a new follower and wondering how long it takes for items to make it to your eBay store? I’m born and raised KY girl, so horses are in my blood. I love the ice bucket and tried to find it in your store. THANKS!
Hi Lavender
How are you doing today🌹🌹?
Oils from your hand damage art. Please don't rub your hands over art like that. You should be able to tell if it is a oil painting by looking at it in an angle. It will show some slightly raised areas. If you still can't tell by looking at it, running the back of your hand over the art at least has less oil on it.
It’s Sunday and I don’t see a video yet. Thinking about you. Hope everything is OK.
❤️
As a potential new reseller I would like to know how many listing you had before you sold your first listing?
I’ve come to judge the SW PA Goodwill stores by what you find in NE PA stores. Ours SUCK…especially the clothing. They hang the nastiest clothes.
I know you've probably already answered this before but what kind of camera do you use? Is it a gopro? I'm looking to buy a camera but not sure which one to go with.
GoPro 7 and Canon M50
Hello! Just curious, do you have death/money piles or do you list everything you buy before going shopping again? Btw… love your videos ❤️
I've heard her say that she does not have any death piles! I can't even imagine!
10 years in, no death piles 😁
DE = Deutschland, better known as Germany in the US, for that blazer size.
Do you save all your photos of merchandise once you’ve listed or do you delete. Takes up so much space on my iPhone and have always wondered whether I should delete or save on a drive or card. Thanks for your response. Maria Phyllis
I use a camera and upload my photos to my computer, which I delete
I would like sell on different platforms. How do you manage to keep your account separate. Do you have different accounts at the same bank what do you do
Is Roger a ft reseller or does he do for profit or for fun?
Roger sells 3x as much as I do! And he works a “ regular job “
DE is Deutschland - Germany
Did you go to the new GW yet?
?
Yes 😁
