    I absolutely love how you can still hear the bass drum exploding in the background even with the trumpet on our ears

    In the beginning why does the Tuba player take his fingers off of the valves instead of just holding them down for longer? Is it normal to not keep any valves down when not playing like that or is it so he can keep rhythm? Maybe it's just a weird fun thing for this piece? I'm just curious, in no way hating

      it has basically 0 effect whether you do or don’t. i think most people see it as wasted effort.

      Tuba players get the most boring parts in the entire orchestra and it helps prevent his fingers from falling asleep

      @@stefanobelotti7557 - Got any specs on that? I played a Bach 50OG indi from about 1993-2015 - hateed it. My Yamaha does everything I need it too, but have been wondering about getting back onto another independent. But not at any "price", only if it's really better/worth it.

      @@musicofnote1 yes I found more space, more fun when I play, the low and hight registers are easier than Yamaha and the sound is really beautiful! ASAP I would like to record a video on my Adams tbb1

      I'm talking about the run at about 40 seconds in, "David cum Sibylla". Is that cellos in a symphonic orchestra? I never stuck that run. Should have practiced more... 🙄

      Well I suppose I’m a believer in context…. Whilst perhaps from a tuba or bass trb point of view it might seem fun… but you’re actually by no means the important part of what’s actually going. I’ve seen numerous videos like this and seems more about perhaps stroking ones ego than actually having a context to what the composer is portraying

      @@jonburton1935 I understand what you mean, but this is a channel dedicated to the bass trombone. I think it's interesting to be able to listen to the third trombone part in various contexts, so you can listen and study the role.
