If you want to feed the squirrels you should come to our garden we have lots of them they even knock on the door for monkey nut's. Great video love little Casper 😍
Even my grumpy ol husband loves watching you and you're wonderful family! The world is yearning for wholesome content like this! Thanks from Arizona USA
Used to go all the time as a child here in the early 2000s. My dad knew someone who worked there and they used to do cheap deals for families of friends before it became as commercial. £50 for a weekend in a 3 bed lodge in October then with family deal! It was a lot more spacious and no Starbucks or anything - less packed. It’s still good now but this place used to be a lot more magical! I remember getting picked up early in year 2 and getting in the car and my parents driving here - always loved how each time you went, there was a different lodge and you could explore your ‘back garden’ space every time as something new
Now I can definitely relate to this comment as I can tell it is very true as I have been to center parcs sherwood forest in 2014 and yes everything was alot more magical.
My two tips for centre parcs.... 1) Do you research and book what you want to do in advance, including meals. All activities get booked up well in advance, and they are done on a first come basis - most of what we wanted to do was booked for the entire weekend before we even booked in to our chalet. Otherwise to eat at the most popular restaurants you will end up eating either really early or late. 2) It's expensive- everything apart from the swimming pool pretty much costs you money, and it's not cheap (the ropes course was £28 per child and lasted 20 minutes). Food even at the supermarket is dear, so do a shop before you arrive (and bring your own alcohol, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, cordial, pop, shower gel, bread etc - you literally have nothing in your chalet). £31 for 2 small English breakfasts is a good example.
Really valid points made.... Ive been long gone from the Uk, but for many years with a family it was always the case of bringing a lot of your own items as its save a large amount of money. booking... well last minute is often cheaper, but like you say most of the features are booked up... its a choice you have to make.
In regards to food shops, one of the Centre Parcs (Elveden) actually has a large retail park thats about a 5 minute drive from the place itself with several supermarket stores so that one is quite easy if you need to buy more stuff.
What a beautiful boy. Also very active. I raised an active child. He will keep your hands full. And it doesn't get any better when his logic kicks in so get prepared with a well stocked first aid kit.
Tim, I always enjoy when the family joins you. little Casper is growing like a weed. He is very sweet and a really good baby. Tell me again how the joining helps you out with your finances. I have grown to love you and the family. you certainly do entertain me , I wish that I could hear Gabby sing. I know from her voice that she would sing beautifully. I always enjoy your vlogs. Thank you for letting me tag along.
mum has been working at center parcs for over 25 years, I believe it closer the 30. at longleat forest, we get free stays there every year and 60% off the villa/room package. great place for kids and also so much to do. expensive once your there though, really expensive, even with discount lol
@@benfletcher2911 it’s something every staff member has. 60% off 1 holiday each year. Free entry whenever you want with friends and family. Also get tickets to give to friends as well so they can go in.
No. 1 you forgot to do a 'bed test' as in HAIRS and stuff and no 2, your Casper is ALWAYS smiling and laughing...what a lovely little lad he is !! Never crys at all !...Very good info vid as always. 👍👍👍👍
Great video guys. Whilst not cheap, we’ve been several times (mainly Sherwood Forest) and it’s just perfect for families. Dare I say, you get what you pay for!
We stayed in a tree house for our honeymoon with our teenage children bringing. our new blended family together. It was expensive but worth it . An unforgettable experience for a very special occasion . The accommodation was amazing with service from a dedicated host.
We go to Longleat Centre Parcs every couple of years. It's always fantastic. Clean, welcoming and loads to do. Since the recent rise in holiday costs in the UK, it's no longer as expensive by comparison. Lovely at Christmas too.
My son is similar age to Casper and one thing I'd like to capture is my son swimming. Great to see they allow cameras in their pool. Living in the Midlands this is the nearest centre parcs to us so will probably be giving this a go some point soon hopefully. Love the video. Thanks for all the hard work!
Casper was doing his best imitation of you, he tried to get you to mention the sign next to him but you didn’t notice it then he was testing the couch for kid-friendliness and it passed the test
The two parcs are very similar, they were originally practically identical but Elvedon burnt down, when it was rebuilt there were changes. I like the fact that the Forresters Inn at Sherwood is much further away from the main buildings and to go there you actually feel like your going somewhere. The other big advantage of Sherwood, if you walk out of the main entrance and turn immediately left you will go down a fire break road for Sherwood Pines, which is a huge Forrest.
What a lovely family you are… You work so well together! Love your videos and your video production is excellent. God bless you all in Jesus name ✝️🙂🇬🇧
With the exception of a three year stint in Hawaii, I've never lived without a dishwasher in my entire life. I'm pretty sure we even had one in the 1970s.
I have spent 2 long weekends at Centre Park resorts. Both lovely but spent my 60th birthday weekend in a Centre Park in Licolnshire. It was magical,in pine forest with resident pheasants wandering past and my grandson fed them in the woods just outside our lodge, so pretty. It snowed( my birthday is in February) and looked amazing in the forest. Then the snow melted and the paths were muddy and slippery but getting up in the morning and seeing the pheasants wander by and eat some of the food left by my grandson was enchanting, really pretty 😊😊
We spent a week at this Centre Parcs. We had six nieces and nephews with us. They loved it and was really nice to be in the countryside and was easy to manage so many kids because of how secure it is. The shop is pricey so we ate out more than eating in as it worked out as similar prices to feeding so many kids. I would definitely recommend 😁 be prepared to spared a lot of money though 🙌🏾xx
If you don't like cooking bacon at home with no extractor pop some kitchen roll onto a plate, put two slices of bacon's on top and then place another bit of kitchen roll on top of your bacon, put the plate into the microwave, 1 minute 30 (more if you like crispy) and boom you've got yourself bacon done without smelling the whole house out :)
Your son is such a happy, little boy. I don’t think I’ve seen him cry in any of your videos. I don’t think it’s editing, but he seems like such a good natured boy. It reminds me of my kids when they were that age….30+ years ago.
Another amazing post! At 14:24 I sure hope those step things up in the air are not an activity since it looks like you could fall off and bust your head pretty easily! Casper is getting quite handsome and so nice to see you both enjoy your healthy handful! And I totally agree with Gabbi that your marshmallow is cremated! Being from the states I've never heard of Center Parcs but it's neat you can compare the two you've visited. If I'm recalling correctly the other one had all kinds of badminton courts etc - wow! Best, from Colorado!
I hope you have a wonderful time. I love wood smells aswell especially forests in fact that forest reminds me of the forest at Shugborough Education Centre.
LOL I did not know you were not suspost to wear clothes when you go in there. I have always have shorts on. I think you guys would love up state New York. If you ever find yourselves back in America, you should check out New York in the winter. We went to a place called Rocking-Horse Ranch, but there are so many nice places up there.
Well Tim, youve done Elveden, Youve done Sherwood, now you really need to come to our neck of the woods, Longleat, bring your walkking boots, its a slog around that parc, great video again Tim, 👍
Very enjoyable nice place looks like you all had a great time your little boy is do well behaved and happy which is great for you all centre park seems a great idea ( nature )
Never been to Sherwood Forest, but have been to Winfell Forest, which I really enjoyed. I feel there is a lot more to do and the swimming pool is a lot bigger.
I've lived in Mansfield for 20years so have never been on holiday here, I know some people do though. So thanks for showing me round, never knew this was all hidden behind the trees. It looks nice but sounds expensive.
Thank You Tim another great vlog your honest assessment always shines through ( that’s not a pun regarding the Centre Parks lighting ) Casper certainly enjoyed exploring your accommodation. The Tim and Gaby humour was brilliant too. Well Done
loved this Tim, it was so nice to see Casper smiling and having his cheeky grin especially running all over the chalet, the pool area looked brill plus I love the fact that the chalet seem very spacious especially in their communal areas, the outside bbq area is a nice touch, I would have to agree with you that £30 pounds or so for breakfast is pretty steep thanks again for another fantastic video :D
Been there my self . We great time and cool staff in all place . The cost can add up . Good meal best be Italian one . Although we did some out and some in lodge .there is a disco in evening .we went for 7 nights . Been to both .Hope enjoy your self .
Really enjoyed this one , most likely we’ll book this for next year with some friends 😃 Casper always looks soo happy in your videos! what cracking parents you both are 🎉🎉
I go here every year in January and one’s noggin gets a tad cold. The bar in the pool makes amazing food. You won’t really see deer there either it’s very rare I’ve never seen them in the years I’ve been going.
I love Center Parcs. The Whinfell Forest location has red squirrels and is right on the doorstep of the Lake District, the North Yorkshire dales, and the North Pennines.
Never went to Centre Parcs, probs because I was a single parent with one child, I couldn't afford it. Looks great fun if you have kids, out of season though! Caspar loved it, what a smiley lad he is!
Went here many years ago when I was a child, word of warning, don’t run out of bird feed when feeding the geese! We were chased back to our cabin by about a 1000 of them 😅 Loved every second staying here though, one of my fondest memories as a child!
Good vlogs guys, we go to Centre Parks every year and have done for 15-20 years but remember, they are sports villages as well as being a holiday park so you are not going to get entertainment. The lodges are ventilated for good reason on arrival days so you will notice linen and bedding feeling cool; in our visits to Centre Parks, we have never experienced any issues surrounding damp in any lodge we’ve stayed in and we have been virtually every month and season of the year. That being said, another informative blog, keep it up and looking forward to watching Gaby’s vlog
Longleat Forest is our favourite. We have been taking our kids there every year since 2008. We have been to Elveden, Sherwood and Woburn Forest, but Longleat is our favourite 😊
24:50 that’s changed now then from when I was there a few years ago. When I went we had to make the reservation in advance of the stay and it was a £10 deposit per person! And there was 7 of us so it was £70 deposit each reservation and because we wanted to try different restaurants each night and we were there 4 nights so it cost me £280 just in restaurant reservation deposits. I’m so pleased it’s only £10 per booking now instead of £10 per person, that’s much more fair I think.
This was a really fun video. I love when Gabby and Casper are with you. If I had the opportunity I would gladly stay in this vacation park and enjoy all the amenities - especially the Starbucks, Thanks so much!!
We go to sharewood every year absolutely love it there! We’ve actually stayed in this exact same lodge before it was most definitely my favourite so much closer to everything then being up in pine x
Would recommend checking out Longleat Center Parcs on your next visit. One of the biggest and more adventurous with its hills, redwood trees and the land train - it definitely has the most unique feel. Though, plan timing of activities needs to be done well, as areas can be quite separated. The main plaza design is better with all the shops and restaurants, feeling like your under a forest canopy and the swimming pool is much larger, in and out. More likely to see deer here from the Longleat estate. Elveden has a lot of the Muntjac’s and all the activities are central, so practical in that sense. Woburn is very small and compact, being the more recent design, good for locals wanting a short-visit. Mid-week visits I find are a happy medium between finding time to relax, as well as do some activities - weekend stays can feel a bit rushed. Arrive at 10am, park in car park, and maximise time in there (same for leaving day). Some saving tips in future, go shopping in a local supermarket beforehand, saves on money. Have a list of kitchen items to take like washing-up liquid, kitchen roll etc., just keeps expense of using ParcMarket to minimum.
Looks lovely and cozy, and the food looked good , can’t believe how quickly your son is growing up , loved too see you all together as a family , of course I remember Gabby saying it’s a lot of work when your doing your vlogs too have time too enjoy the place your staying in , but hopefully you had a nice time together there , be safe and hope your Chanel goes from strength too strength, 😊
Appreciate your videos. Always on topic and informative without unnecessary fluff. Oftentimes other creators' family trip vlogs can be a slog to get through because there are long segments of "family fun time" or what have you, without any info about the facilities, which is what I clicked on the video for. You do a great job with your videos, it's entertaining and informative from start to finish!
Hi Tim, Gaby and Casper Lovely to see you again. This looked really nice the lodge looked great . Casper is living his best life you are amazing parents. Really enjoyed the vlog thanks for sharing with us. Love to you all as always Tracey 💕 xxxx
I just came back from Elveden Forest celebrating my 30th Birthday. My first time at a Center Parcs. I absolutely loved it tbh. Will definitely he goimg back next year!
Thanks for the video 👍 we are looking forward to the park next December (2024) to see Santa with our grand kids 🎅🏻🤶🎄 we can’t travel to Lapland anymore so this will hopefully be a great alternative.

Oh Tim, im gutted! Ive just come back from there and id would love to have said a quick Hello. Love all your videos.
Next time!
39:55 hahahahaha, great how you sneaked that in and Gabby doesn't notice or (perhaps more likely) choses to ignore it
Great video by the way
You learn to ignore a lot when your married lol
Thanks for the video. The lodges are the way to stay at center parcs. They have changed since I last stayed.
