The Meaning of Pentecost

- In Christianity, Pentecost is the celebration of the Holy Spirit descending on the Apostles fifty days after the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The apostles were gathered together to celebrate an originally Jewish feast of Pentecost (Acts 2). Pentecost means fiftieth, as in the fiftieth day. Pentecost was the fiftieth day after Passover. It occurred during the Jewish Festival of Weeks, which was seven weeks after Passover.
7 weeks x 7 days = 49 days
The 50th day marked the celebration of Pentecost.
Here is what happened to the Apostles on Pentecost according to Acts 2:
"When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability." (Acts 2:1-4)

The Holy Spirit was poured out on all flesh on Pentecost! That oughta make you leap for joy!
Remember The Holy Spirit came down on the apostles but they went forth and shared it and when they laid hands and healed people they also got saved and received the Holy Spirit. When we receive a miracle in faith healing we can also pass that miracle on to an agreeing believer. God reveals himself to all of us but some times we miss it or ignore him. Too many Christians think things have somehow changed since the day of Pentecost. I was taught that was for the apostles only yet we were still told that sometimes God makes miracles through laying of hands. This just incase we do see a miracle of healing. I tell you I have seen more miracles of healing and more people getting saved in the last 2 years than in all my years and I am 53 years old and was saved at age 15.

It was not only for the apostles yes the apostles but it's also for us an it was the holy ghost that's why we speak in tongues that is the comforter that is the gift he left us many people think it was just for the apostles they were the first to receive it but from there on it was for ever one up to this day

Ecclesiastes 9:16 says:
So I said, “Wisdom is better than strength.” But the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are no longer heeded.
The strength is in reference to military physical/brawn. Now what is wisdom? For it is applied knowledge or knowledge applied.
You see, military physical/brawn is applied knowledge but it is the knowledge of this world as wisdom is knowledge that is not of this world but from God.
People seldom follow after a poor mans wisdom because they don't see the wisdom of his poverty. However, the rich mans wisdom is followed because of his tangible value and influence but the poor man has been chosen for an intangible value and influence which is faith. For example,
James 2:5 says:
Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?
In other words, whatever that the poor man doesn't make up for in tangibles can be made up in the intangibles.
Now the wisdom of this world is lust and pride.
1 John 2:15-17 says:
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
James 3:17, KJV: "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy."

The Temple Feast of Weeks started one week earlier than the Qumran communities Feast of Weeks. Their Day of Pentecost was therefore one week earlier.
How do we know which one of four different Feast of Weeks starting dates are correct for the correct Day of Pentecost ????
The solution is in the sum of the numerals in the eight Sabbath Day dates of the count - starting the tally from Sabbath Day ZERO.
The sum of the numerals in the CORRECT eight Sabbath Day dates will add up to 49, thus confirming the Sadducees "Aristocratic method" of starting the count from the weekly Sabbath Day ZERO in the Feast of Unleavened Bread - no other method gives this 49 day tally to the 50th Day of Pentecost ! ! !
This affirms the 18th Abib resurrection Sabbath and the 19th Abib start of the Exodus 40 years launch into the wilderness - after being taken out of the Egyptian pit through the Red Sea on the weekly Sabbath day !
The resurrection was on Sabbath day ZERO - the 18th Abib.
The 1st Sabbath after - the 25th Abib.
The 2nd Sabbath after - the 2nd of month two.
The 3rd Sabbath after - the 9th of month two.

But the apostles weren’t celebrating Pentecost, they were in the upper room by themselves as Jesus instructed them.
I wonder how come the Christian’s now adopted the title Pentecostals when they weren’t celebrating Pentecost.
Notice how the apostles obeyed Christ in order to receive the Holy Spirit? Christians nowadays think Christianity is just psychology. Jesus is a real God and obeyed the Father. The apostles obeyed Christ. The good angels obeyed God. Modern Christianity makes false gods look better. Christ returns for a reason. Why would apostles of Christ celebrate Halloween and birthdays instead of Pentecost, a fulfillment of God’s promise? Pick up your cross and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.
Becoming a Christian or Pastor or Apostle means you start to learn God’s word and start to grow up spiritually. As the light of God’s word shines on your heart you can begin to relearn, unlearn and distinguish between right and wrong teachings and doctrines in the church.
Christians don’t celebrate Pentecost nor Halloween. It was Jews celebrating Pentecost, not the disciples. It was only a coincidence the Holy Ghost fell of the Christians that day, that does not make the day of Pentecost a Christian celebration. Remember Jews were outside celebrating Pentecost while the Christians remained inside the upper room receiving God’s gift, no relationship!!!
These are not Christian celebrations. We celebrate Jesus and Him resurrected, Glory to God Almighty Forevermore.
