A completely new and re-engineered ¼ scale cabinet manufactured in wood to match the original arcades from the 1970s.
The most complex ¼ scale cabinet build yet with a variety of new components and elements in the manufacturing and design to re-imagine Space Invaders in ¼ scale liked you’ve never seen before!
Mirror screen for the game itself, for Space Invaders & Space Invaders Part II so it’s just like the real thing - showing off the game technology with the “Pepper’s ghost effect”

I have been waiting for this day for so long! I first want to say, regardless of the price shock, these Space Invaders replicas are AMAZING! I own your Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man and Polybius and you've never disappointed :)
I guess I really didn't understand the cost of continuing to use wood on these replicas, and why you mulled over the idea of switching to plastics. And it sounded like you'd be able to deliver the same quality with an alternative material, but on the other hand, it can't be understated how cool it is when a company really listens to community feedback and takes action to make it happen.
Because Numskull earned my trust with every quality release I bought (I watched reviews beforehand before buying any of my Quarter Arcades), I decided when you announced Space Invaders and Space Invaders Part II for pre-order, that I'd feel confident to do so. But I have to admit, I didn't count on how much of a higher price using wood would be.
I have to tell you though, both of these machines look to be masterworks and a true celebration of the games they represent. I remember playing Space Invaders for the first time at a Pizza Parlor, while listening to Blondie's "Heart of Glass" on the Jukebox, and being mesmerized by the immersion of the cabinet's unique technology (I didn't think of it as technology at the time, just MAGIC). I think you've nailed that same feeling with your new replicas, and I'm happy to tell you, I've pre-ordered both Space Invaders and Space Invaders Part II from Just Geek today. That shipping hurt real good though. Don't get me wrong, I love Just Geek, but I wish Numskull could've setup pre-orders through Amazon US as well, where I bought two of my three Quarter Arcades.

Looks Stunning. How about a longer shot showing the gameplay on these machines. Will the inscription "Invaders" (on marquee) be underexposed on both cabinets or will it be corrected in the final product? Will it be possible to buy these "SIQ" cabinets in a store located in the European Union (so as not to have to pay additional customs duties)? If so, when will Space Invaders Part II be available for regular sale after pre-sales are sold out? And the last question. I have the first 4 of your mini arcades and they are almost perfect (apart from the viewing angles of the displays and the inability to permanently save the high score) - Does Space Invaders Part II, after turning off the power, remember the HS?

I was amazed to hear about the Turtles cabinets. Will definitely get at least one if not both.
Now... I know you most likely get ton of suggestions but here is another one... Smash TV. I imagine it might work really well with dual joysticks in this form factor and if the TMNT cabinet works, can't think why it wouldn't. Of course, a classic red Neo Geo can would be very nice too but not sure how licensing would go.

Received Numskull Space Invaders with COIN and ARCADE STOOL... the ARCADE STOOL is made of entirely PLASTIC... cheap... For the amount of money spent on it, would expect better quality... waited 4 years for this ☹ 👎 👎 👎 👎 👎 👎
Thank you for this update!!! Please consider not discontinuing your models as not all of us can compete against the extreme instant shoppers. Very disappointing to see early buyers get their picks and everyone else is left out.
$300 and $700?
We wanted wood cabinets. They warned us they would be more expensive.
Hiya - Thanks for your comments on the price. We previously looked to produce the Quarter Arcades in plastic (to bring the price down) but the overwhelming feedback from this QA community was to maintain the quality and authentic wood finish of the cabinets.
Wood is a lot more expensive than plastic, and is much more difficult to work with during mass production - resulting in a much higher failure rate during QC.... however we are very pleased we went back to wood, and fully support the communities overwhelming decision, even if it does result in a higher SRP. These cabinets are 2nd to none in terms of quality and authenticity, and you will not be disappointed. thanks
@@NumskullDesigns I understand where you are coming from, but if you had told the public $160 for plastic, $300 for wood, I believe your feedback would have been different. Perhaps, in the future, you could consider wood for limited editions, and plastic for non-limited editions. Just a thought.

Work in construction and yes 2 years ago the price of wood was high as I had to deal with filing jobs as chain link fences for construction over the typical wood fence painted green for the NYC building code but since Summer of 2021 prices came back down to normal but a lot of these companies are sticking with the excuse of the fee increase well after prices normalized. People in construction are back to installing wood fences around properties under construction which is a steeper fee.
