Order for Space Invaders cancelled by Game again and told wont be released Until 2023. The gap between releases is too large for me so will be selling off my other quarter arcades.
Sorry I'm late to the comments, but just watch the video this morning. I'm 110% on board in regards to the authentic art work, and how if that can't be had, there's no reason to move forward on T&F. Now that being said, not sure how I feel in regards to plastic being used, as that's one feature that made these cabs so cool. I understand the cost being an issue, but how much are we talking? How will the final product look and feel compared to the earlier releases(wood Vs. plastic)? How can you talk about being authentic to the side art, and then a few minutes later, announcing you can't be true to the original materials used? Seems a contradiction of sorts. The delays caused by parts and supplies is a non issue, as we all know how that goes, and how bad it has gotten(the wait is almost always worth it). My last point of note, would be once these are offered, can they please be released over time, maybe quarterly(no pun intended), as to spread out the releases. Getting releases ever 3-4 months, makes it much more manageable on ones wallet. Thanks guys, great video, and I love the new offerings on deck.
Sorry to be negative, But it is a complete shame that the Ms Pac Man quarter arcade cabinet does not have the speed hack. I have it and love my mini cabinet, but it really needs a speed hack. We need a firmware update.
Love the CRT effect, any chance this could be a backwards compatible mod for existing builds? They are looking great. Shame they are moving to plastic, the wood build is part of the authenticity for me, build quality is excellent at the moment. But it might help slightly lower the price point. Great line up, only have two so far that I did a review on returns stock and love them.
Guys you should sell the stools and the exit door, the fans and the other accessories as a kit if anyone wants to recreate that setup you guys have there because that's what I'm doing and it's a bitch having those things made so there's an idea, even the brick wall panels in the proper scale all that stuff the little extinguisher etc!!
I honestly thought this video started off as: “My name’s Karl Mizen. I’m the Creative Director at Numskull Studios. This is My Precious…” 😄 (You’ll have to all call him that in the workplace now! Haha!) Really informative video that hopefully puts a lot of the impatience I’ve been seeing in the Facebook group to rest. While I appreciate that people are excited and want things ASAP, I have also pre-ordered Space Invaders a long time ago but would never want your passion for accuracy to ever be compromised by consumer impatience. It comes across clearly in this video how hard you work at getting things right. I can’t wait to see the new lineup of machines and to play Space Invaders, eventually. I’m honestly so pleased to see people leading a challenging project like these Quarter Arcades with these high standards. :)
I also heard "this is my precious" lol. LOVE your setup there. We would be 100% interested in purchasing any accessories you would sell. Really looking forward to the next few releases! :)
Ditching wood for plastic is a TERRIBLE move. The realistic factor of these was WHY people like me bought them. We don't care if it takes longer, we would rather have the same wood that made us like them in the first place.
Honestly I don't mind waiting has I really want the turtles but limited funds and stuff so I can wait . And I agree with guru Larry I'd love to have the tmht choice to .
What would be great is if you could make the TMNT controller match the cabinet, or at least have a Turtles theme. The Numskull controller looks good, but a TMNT controller would be epic!
Glad Numskull finally spoke up! The 18 months of darkness was a bit much. New stuff looks promising--I just hope the screens are high-quality and don't have the scaling issues of Bubble Bobble. The Turtles cabs look especially cool. As for price, I hope Space Invaders stays relatively low as it should have been released already months and months ago.
As far as pricing I'm fine waiting. If the price is out of reach then how can you afford your next batch to develop and keep the same quality? I buy these mainly for space, quality, and are more affordable to collect than Arcade 1UP.
Thank you for this update! The new cabinets are looking awesome! Regarding the current rising costs of everything across the board... I would be curious as to about how much more it would cost to purchase one of the cabinets if they were to release very soon? Maybe there can be an early "Enthusiast" release now... and a lower price, comparable to what we're used to, later down the road.
Only recently found out about these, Would love to see some of these cabinets R-type Ikari warriors Sunset riders Rampage Wrestlefest Double dragon King of boxers Michael Jackson arcade Superman Could you do a steering wheel version like Out run, chase HQ
Hi I hope one day you make one of verdeb best play Street Fighter 1 and 2 and Contra Game, I think there are many who want this… Good luck Production and selling Business 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It would be really cool if the Pepsi usb hub actually spit out small pop can. A few ideas for other accessories... Arcade carpeting/mousepad would be nice. New Wave/Replicade has a small piece of blacklight for sale in one style. The size is barely enough for one of their machines and definitely isn't big enough for the Quarter Arcades. Some options in styles and sizes would be awesome for displaying these. I love the idea of the barstools. I remember my old neighborhood arcade having different colored stools for difference arcade cabinets. The yellow for Pac-man got dirty fast, but it was kinda iconic to have that next to the cabinet. So, multiple colors would be awesome. Maybe just primary colors and not a custom color for every unit you sell. Two non-video game cabinet items I always associated with the arcade were pinball machines and claw prize machines. Both of these would make neat usb hub/working props. I don't know that anyone has a quarter scale pinball machine, let alone one that lights up and tallies a score. Add in a couple usb ports in the back (maybe just 2 or 3 instead of 4) and that would be a winner. There are also so many great pinball games to choose from. The claw machine was just always a great diversion when your favorite arcade game was occupied. I know a few companies have made small tabletop claw machines for various licenses. One that has 80's arcade game themed items in it that you could try to "win" would be awesome. Again, since there's very little electronics besides the mechanics for the claw controls and lights, it could house 2-4 usb ports. Air hockey was also a staple at most arcades, but that one might be difficult to make a working prop out of and those were always out by themselves, so wouldn't make a great usb hub.
Please make a Tempest. Please, please, please. I've been hoping to find a Replicade Tempest for a good price and it's near impossible. When I came across the Galaga, Galaxian, etc. from your line, I was super excited to start collecting them and I would really love to have my favorite game (Tempest) in this line.
I just learned about these awesome machines recently, and I just purchased the Galaga machine with plans to buy others. I really want the Pacman game, as it was one of my favorites growing up, but they are sold out everywhere. Are you planning on producing more of them? Thanks.
I hope the Pepsi machine has at least one pushable button that makes the light dim slightly and a "ungggg...chnk" noise to replicate the full size dispensing something ha.
I bought your Quarter Scale Bubble Bobble cabinet earlier in the year and absolutely love it. The attention to detail is fantastic, I put a couple of photos of it up on Facebook and a few of my mate's thought I'd bought a full scale arcade cabinet. Can I offer you a suggestion for a future cabinet: I'd love a quarter scale upright arcade racer. My ideal would be for an Outrun cabinet like this (I'm guessing if you're bringing out quarter scale Turtles cabs, the fact there's an A1up Outrun cab isn't necessarily an issue...?). Failing that, Chase HQ would be next on my wishlist. I'd happily pay a bit more for one of these than a standard cabinet.
Just discovered these machines. They're absolutely fantastic. Just ordered my first two, Galaga, and pacman. Really looking forward to the space invaders. Another iconic machine I'd love to see from the 80's is Defender by Williams. That would be up there with space invaders as a classic. Not sure about the move to plastic, but I'll buy one and see.
Those new machines look phenomenal. I don't mind the change to plastic personally. If you have to decide which machine to bring out first please go with one of the turtles games!

I’m excited to add Zoo Keeper, Qix, and Elevator Action to the collection. Pepsi machine looks cooler than I imagined it. I have to admit, the TMNT also turned out much better than I imagined. The addition of the external USB hubs on the TMNT is pretty cool. I’ve said it before…..You’ve got to make Q*bert, Frogger, and DK (no matter $).
Thanks for the video! Really appreciate it! I've always been more of a Coca-Cola or Dr. Pepper man myself, but love that Pepsi machine! Will it have Mountain Dew or Diet Pepsi as choices? And love the accessories like stools! I'd buy a couple 1/4 scale stools in a heartbeat! Keep 'em coming and I'd pay more for a machine now than wait until who knows when. Fingers crossed on that Space Invaders cabinet! Can't wait for it (even though I have to...)! Thanks!
Great video! Thank u Numskull! Looking forward to TMNT and Elevator Action. A couple more suggestions Arkanoid (Taito) and The Main Event (Konami) in the future. Keep up the great work and the awesomeness!
Nice.. I've been interested in their Space Invaders and still am especially now with the SI Part 2 and the kind of detail they're paying attention to. I'm amazed they got their hands on a Taito SI Part 2 mirrored upright. those weren't so prevalent outside of Japan.

The carpet is what most of us want really hard to get arcade rugs or carpet that look authentic in the UK !!
I understand why, but it is a shame about the shift from wood to plastic. Hopefully, the look and feel of the plastic cabinets will be just as good.
