    To all those that thought
    " I could've done that".
    Hold your horses.
    Everything changes under pressure. I might've been able to get the 8 power tool companies and if SAE was accepted as imperial, that 1 too, maybe.
    Amazing how simple tasks and questions provided me with 16 minutes of entertainment. Thank you Jon.
    BTW we're breathlessly waiting for another build off with your kind neighbor.

    Loved bringing Izzy in as the surprise ringer. Especially since he casually sinks all 3 nails in one hit right off the bat. Would have loved to see a competition between him and Larry Haun. Izzy's arms are 3 times the size of Larry's but i bet Larry could have still kicked butt, he was the GOAT.

    What a fun video. Reminds me of the days before framing nailers in the early eighties. My boss told me I had to get 3 inch twisted nails in three hits into 2x4’s. Then after the sheathing he would walk around and fake tripping over any nails that weren’t below the deck. I learned real fast how to do it. Probably couldn’t now. Thanks for the good entertainment!

    On the 2x4 size question, it depends on when it was made. They used to be bigger than they are today. If you look in a house that’s old enough, you can find ones that are actually 2x4 inches.

    Loved this one. And I couldn’t help but think of that scene in Star Wars where Yoda is fighting all crazy out of no where. Izzy comes in all humble and unassuming and then destroys the competition haha.

    Loved the idea of this. It was my Birthday Friday and my wife took me to our Rockler. Sadly they didn’t have 1 of the 5 things I was looking for. Love their store but I swear, just no good luck on that trip.

    I for one am glad to see something like this. It's entertaining and it's woodworking related. I am not saying that the winner didn't deserve to win but I think some of the one's trying to be woodworkers are a bit overlooked. There are some out there that are struggling to get half decent tools and the ones winning them are the ones that probably don't need it. I do understand the dynamics of it but it is something I've noticed. Anyway, great video so keep up the great work. Stay safe and have fun 💯😁

    Maybe you could hold another challenge but with famous makers who all compete for items or money to go to a charity they've chosen and are competing on the behalf of, or a selection of their followers

    To be picky, the USA uses the U.S.Customary System, not the Imperial System. They’re close, but the units of volume of Imperial and U.S. Customary are different

      I love that somebody knows this! When I was a kid, we were taught "Standard" vs. "Metric." I didn't learn the term "Imperial" until adulthood; but it seems obvious to me that it refers to the units of the British "Empire," which used inches, feet, miles, etc. before going Metric (if I'm not mistaken).

      @@jtotheb-ip2hh The Brits use a mixture of metric and imperial. Imperial pints (different from U.S. pints) are used for drinks, and road signs are in MPH.

      That's a good point I doubt most know. I'm in Canada and we use both Imperial and Metric, and hate that their volume measures aren't the same. A US gallon is 1/5th smaller than an Imperial gallon. That cascades down to baking....when I'm following a recipe, if it's a US cookbook, I have to convert every measure to match all my Imperial measuring cups/tsp/tbsp

    Lord I wish Rob Cosman was walking around happen stance. And during the pocket holes for drawers he pushed everything off. Pulled his own dovetail saw out and busted the whole drawer out in less than 10 minutes. Like a legend.

      Yep you lost that one. When I told friends before filming about the “twist” very few people knew what a slot drive was. So we made it as easy to understand as possible

      Oh but just the fact that americans can't even name the measuring system that they fight so hard to keep going around even though it is flawed says a lot.
      And sorry to say, but it is really funny to the rest of the world except in Liberia and Myanmar who are the only other countries still not oficially using metric😜

      Then again, most people got the right answer on the fractions more quickly than I did, and I'm an engineer - we just don't work with fractions anywhere near as much in metric countries so processing them is much slower.

    American should have been an accepted answer. The US doesn’t use Imperial anymore (since 1832), officially it uses US Customary system of units.
