    Last year when I was going to a speech therapist for my vocal chord spasms and other issues she had me try straw work using a cup of water, but this same technique. It was slight, but I could tell it was engaging my abdomen and breathing more in a good way. While I practiced at home, I noticed it was a similar technique as when I played flute years ago so I dug out my old flute and had some fun with it. It was a little more work, using memory also, but has helped with my singing quite a bit, too.

    The part where you sang and put the straw back in and out of your mouth kinda sounded like a misquito flying past my ear. 😂😂 Also thanks for this! I was unaware of this vocal practice.

    She is the best Fallout character there could be. Todd Howard, can we get her to the Fallout 5? She was born for it. All the best to you, lady, you are awesome ❤

    Additional tip: My mom (also a vocal coach) has her students put the end of the straw into a cup of water to make sure it is being used correctly. Bubbles =correct.

    I don't know if this is a silly question, but does the place you bite down (your inner lips vs straw) affect the exercise?

    Hello Victoria thanks you for everything ! I feel better fold closure and more stability in my voice but i sing really quietly after using straw is that normal ?

      Try phonating with more volume through the straw. Also, the straw phonation doesn’t do you any good if you can’t apply it to your singing. Applying STRAW PHONATION Exercises to Your Singing!

      Thanks you very much i will try and let you know for the volume. Yeah that's what i try to do i sing my songs in the straw or on lip trill, when i change with the word it's very harder but i can feel the diference 👍 🙏

    • @guinetcorentin7095
      @guinetcorentin7095 6 месяцев назад

      You're right ! I use to yell that's why i thought i have less volume 😂 But to sing with volume on the straw i start to understand how increase volume or sing quietly ! The more i discover, the more i see the work i still have to do but it's really good pleasur and good fun ! Thanks for everything Victoria take Care 🙏😀
