Floor formed this band, had complete creative control, so what you're hearing is Floor's sound. Back in her ReVamp days she was a hardassed metal musician. Recently she said that she had moved on from this aggressiveness, so her sound is becoming more mellow. Nothing like age and parenthood to chill things out. Check out her After Forever music. She joined them in 1997 and there are some YT vids of AF from the early 2000's. By the time this concert took place, Floor already had 13 years of singing metal behind her.
But man you got to have that little voice saying it would be amazing to hear her pull 'Disdain', 'Wildcard' or 'The Trial of Monsters' out from time to time!
Another good one from this concert is "Kill Me with Silence" - no growling but she really shows off her dynamic range and amazing power. People tend to forget that she's not simply a singer - she is a story teller and a true performer.

2010 was 11 years ago. :) And yes, Floor was younger of course, but not carefree. ReVamp was her band which she had created and she was in control of most aspects of it. That was taking a huge toll on her and led to her burnout soon after. But yes she was just as amazing as a performer then as she is now. It's definitely not an accident that she's the one that got the phone call when Tuomas was left without a vocalist. They had been having an eye on her for a few years.
She was in a band before ReVamp called After Forever. She was in it with Mark Jansen from Epica. Should check out Monolith of Doubt. It was while being in After Forever that got her and Nightwish aquainted initially.

Now that you’ve experienced Floor mixing up a bunch of different styles, check out “Time” by Wintersun from the Sonic Pump Studios session. Their lead singer Jari Mäenpää (pronounced Yari Mahn-pah) also has a very versatile voice. Oh, and Wintersun now has two connections with Nightwish. Nightwish’s current drummer Kai Hahto previously drummed with Wintersun, and Wintersun’s bassist Jukka Koskinen filled in with Nightwish for the recent virtual concert.

They wrote the music I think she said, around 2008, and just got around to recording it in 2017 or so. There's a song called While Love Died that I think you would like a lot, that shows even another side of her amazing singing ability.
