You defiantly put in the work mate! Not many deer.. Not according to the National parks and greenies they say the deer are in plage. What a Joke!! Great to see our taxes going towards chopper culls. Pisses me off!! New subscriber. 👍👍

@@BenCavanough cheers mate. Yep pisses you off more when you take the time and effort to pack in behind closed gates and don’t put anything up over 4 days. I mean that’s how it goes sometimes, was the same a couple months back just below hotham as well.

@@BenCavanough yer not wrong just wish these miss advised government pen 🖊️ pushers would get into these areas and see there bugger all deer causing bugger all impact to the country and realise the millions of dollars generated by the hunter complete madness

What boots were they. Curious to see what brand and model. Cheers.

@@adam150874 they are the Salomon Quest 4 GTX boot mate. Been a great boot, I personally prefer these over the Lowa Ranger III GTX which is what I use to use.
I find the Salomon’s keep you upright more then the Lowa (less slippery).

@@adam150874 no dramas 👍 half the price of the Lowa’s too. I ran the Lowa’s for a few seasons and have had these for a couple now and prefer these.

@@scottthompson9220 yea it’s usually a hit and miss up there. Probably right about the choppers. I know of people going in here over the weekend and didn’t see a thing, no fresh sign which is the same as when we were in here this time last year.
I’ve seen and shot a good stag out of the area though. Right place at the right time. Thanks for watching 👍

@@hntrdwnundr3415 Ok done a far bit of backpacking into many areas in my life and I haven’t ever see numbers of samba in those remote areas that have any impact on the landscape can’t see why the government is spending thousands on culling them when hunters are spending thousands on pursuing them got to be stopped

@@scottthompson9220 yea it’s bloody wild hey!! Yet we still have to pay a fee for our deer licence and they are going in on foot/choppers shooting trophy deer. That us hunters work hard to go out and find and give up time and money to do so. Very wrong!

@@hntrdwnundr3415 Government people making the decision to cull samba in high country need to go into these areas and see for themselves visit the gun shops associated business that rely on hunters for income and go to the hunting expos and they might realise the positive outcomes that deer have not negatively driven by bums on seats trying to justify their jobs
