Moo Goo Gai Pan is one of the few dishes I used to order back in the days of being able to afford to eat out (1980's ^_^ ) and I had forgotten about it until just lately. I LOVE it and I'm so happy that you decided to show us all how to make it at home relatively inexpensively!! I've also "re-discovered" chicken or beef Chow Mein which I also make quite often. Thank you!!
70s Cantonese restaurants used bok choy in almost every dish . Loved working as a kitchen helper when I was 14 and 15... Boy could they filet a whole chicken in seconds...
In Chinese, "Moo Goo" stands for mushrooms and "gai" stands for chicken. Moo Goo Gai Pan a popular cantonese dish and is available at alot of Chinese restaurants. You can learn how to make #moogoogaipan youself in this video. ruclips.net/video/2emMafZaty4/видео.html
Listening to the cooking tools banging on the wok bring back teenage memories..my mom said she could smell the grease in my clothes from just one night working... She loved the crushed fortune cookies that we got in 5 gallon tubs.
When I was a little girl I always had order this from my favorite take out BoBo China that was back in 88 however Alot of time had elasped even though I ordered time to time sadly the son's who took over didn't live up to what I always known from their Mother's tradition ways. My oldest son is part Japanese but he loved Asian cuisine, he started eating there when he turned 3 as I wanted him to know for the food well over the years it was ok but by the time I had my youngest in 02 sadly the food wasn't the same ANYMORE, I did try again one more time at the same location where it all started and it was a huge disappointment to me so I learned more for making the food and been enjoying ever since just with my health conditions now I rely on a new place although it's not same taste but it's two of my son's and my to go place when we want such Deliciousness so they appreciate when I watch how to learn from these videos I teach them so they too can enjoy and cook what they like. Thanks so much for all your tutorials.

In the 70s Cantonese restaurants used hoisin sauce and kitchen bouquet to make an oyster sauce...no commercial oyster sauce was used.

Thank you. I will try this recipe the next time that I visit my local Chinese restaurant.
Add cashews and you have cashew chicken.
