- This strawberry jam is by far, the easiest jam recipe to make with a low amount of sugar and without packaged pectin. It has a soft, velvety texture, that's bursting with fresh strawberry flavor and it spreads like a dream! Store up to 2 months in the fridge unopened, or preserve the jam in a water-bath canner for long-term storage. Consume within a month of opening.

Awesome video! Thank you! Is 3 cups considered low sugar?
I thought of the same thing too :(
@@doubleu7658 the standard ratio for fruit and sugar is 1:1 here it is less, so you can't store it as long
I was actually just reading the recipes on a box of Sure-Jell and the fruit to sugar ratio is almost double - 5c. fruit to 7c. of sugar in most cases. blueberry and strawberry were the only ones that had a 1:1 ratio, which is in itself too much if you ask me! I want to eat jam, not syrup!

Hi everyone! I really hope you like this recipe. It's really delicious and so easy to make. Please let me know if you try it!
Very clear instructions and right to the point. Excellent and thanks for making this.
You're welcome! Thank you :)
This channel is so underrated
Thank you :)
Hi Amy, I always appreciate how clear and pleasant your video is. The tip to test if the jam is ready shows you really know your job! I am thankful for sharing!
Dangit! I thought this was low sugar recipe. I wasn't expecting 3 cups.
Will have to try this one also. My wife is battling her sugar for a month now and I am looking for these types of recipes
Hope she enjoys! Try it with blueberries too if you like them :)
This came out absolutely delicious!! Thank you. First time canning 🙂
Nice video ❤❤❤🌹🌹
It's so relaxing to see the process🍓🍓🍓
That's less sugar?
Have you tried thickening your jams by cooking with apple cores? Apple seeds have pectin and naturally thicken your jams and jellies.
🌹Great Video 😊 New Subscriber ❤️
Thanks for subbing!
❤❤❤
3:00 "low sugar"
@@mdcaudill7 maybe lower, but definitely not low
If I replaced the white sugar for coconut palm sugar what should the ratio be?
I can’t have sugar, do you think it can be made with plant base sugar
Amy I found your channel while searching for a sour dough starter tutorial video. Now I am hooked; all of your videos are awesome. I love your through and precise instructional manner. You make everything so simple to follow. I will definitely try the strawberry jam while our strawberries are still in season. Oh yes, I started my sour dough today. I like that your method doesn’t waste a lot flour. I am using organic rye and it is a little costly, but I heard that it works really good. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Hi , i wanted to ask is it ok to substitute the Granny Smith apple with red apple or maybe pineapple?
Is there any way to make it last longer than a month? Could I freeze it?
That looks delicious. Great job :)
Can this same recipe be used for blackberriy jam?
Yes. You may need to adjust the sweetness to your taste depending on the berry sweetness.
Does your recipe make 4 jars of jam?
Ok, I see from the website recipe that it makes ~5 half pint jars.
It's just shy of 5 half pints. The last jar didn't quite come to the 1/4" headspace so I put that one in the fridge instead of canning it!
@@littlespoonfarm will the same recipe work for blueberries also?
This is my first time making jam. I made the strawberry jam from Amy's recipe yesterday. It turned out fantastic. So fantastic, that I made blueberry jam today. I did reduce the sugar to 2 cups for the blueberry jam and I added in 2 shakes of ceylon cinnamon and black pepper to boost the blueberry flavor. It turned out spectacular also. Thanks for the recipe!
I made this jam today(10/28/23). I Added 4 ghost peppers and 1 Scotch bonnet to make fiery strawberry jam. Such a great recipe!
What a sweet strawberry beauty that is!! The jam looks awesome too, but I might need to reduce the amount of sugar.
yes you can but it will have a shorter shelf life the standard ratio for jam ist fruit/suger 1:1
