I follow the stripping guide of mowing in the same direction two mows in a row. There is a small section of my lawn that I can only mow north/south due to a fence. Any recommendations on how to handle areas like that?
Yeah, I mow a skirt around my perimeter. It’s also similar in my front yard along the curb. Keep mowing north/south, just change the pattern back and forth every week or every other week, that will stop the grass from matting in one direction. I like to put in the stripes, then mow the perimeter to cover up my turns.
@@jeremyherkenhoff694 so the striping kit will actually cause it to lay down more. But still stripe the edge, just alternate the cut so it doesn’t lay down too much.

Great video. Loved it!
That’s great! Happy mowing.
At the end of your vid you mentioned mowing the lines twice. Do you mean each line twice or just the down lines or just up lines? Thanks.
Good questions. I’m saying you can mow over them twice the same day to bolden them if you’re going for the look without a striping kit.

@@GetonmylawnMN got it thank you! Would adding a stripping kit help at all from preventing the matting?

Where did you get your roller? Can't seem to find it through John Deere.
