I always stocked up on those metal brushes when I went to the swap meet. Went through a lot of razor blades too and used to buy the 100 pack. This is a great series Jeff! Thankyou!
Like this series of simple things that keep ya moving in the shop no matter what situation you get into. Much needed supplies. Cant wait to see the new capri. Thanks Jeff and keep em comin
@jefftovani5535 Hay there Jeff , as. Long as l am able l will support you my Brother and your channel you have wisdom and are very tool smart and all around Big Hearted Thanks Jeff
As you evolve in what you do, you'll learn what to keep in stock. Anything to avoid trips to the store which is time consuming and expensive, as you 'spot buy' versus buy at the right price.
I like this series, I have those brushes from HF but hadn't thought about getting them in bulk and those washers would be handy. Thanks Jeff good stuff to have.
I also keep a ton of supplies and parts on hand. My customers depend on me to keep their cars running even if it's after hours, Saturday & Sundays. Thanks Jeff
Thanks Jeff! I have all but the vacuum plugs. I also never throw twist ties away - I keep them all in a bag in a drawer. It’s surprising how often I’ve needed them.
Great series, Jeff. Lots of good info in these shop videos. Got my new Capri ratchet set ordered and on the way today also. Will let you know how I like them once I get them. $169.99 with 10% credit back.
Great list of stuff to keep on hand. I always pick up those brushes at swap meets also. The HF ones are cheap enough too but I found that the handles don't always hold up.
I saw that those Capri flex heads dropped and cant wait to see them Jeff!! Also, Astro just dropped their newest nano socket compatible ratcheting wrench for their 1/2" drive nano sockets. They also have nano adapters coming out as well as nano torx, triple square, and hex that are compatible with the nano ratcheting wrench. They currently offer nano sockets in those offerings, but they aren't compatible with their new nano ratcheting wrench. Also, tekton is dropping a few things too. Their new universal impact swivels, doble box end zero degree ratcheting wrench set, and a 1/4" drive impact socket set that goes to 17mm too. Looking forward to seeing the new Capri ratchets. They look identical to the new gearwrench ratchets to he honest, but we'll see!! Thanks Jeff
Excellent series, keep it going. 👍 I'm really interested in anything that might make my life easier. I really like the wooden handled style of wire brushes. I have found that the DeWalt carbide utility knife blades last the longest, and the titanium nitride plated blades from Fiskars stay rust free the longest if that's a concern. Only one type of tape? If you're trying to keep it to a minimum, I don't think you could beat gaffers tape, it's stronger than duct tape, and it comes off cleaner. I'm hoping you'll cover more chemicals, I'm interested in cleaning products, like what you run in your parts washer, degreasers, gasket goo, like RTV and hylomar, and what lubricants you keep on hand.
Great series Jeff. On the topic of tape, do you have or use any fabric faced tape. I bought some to stop some rattles and it works like charm. Also, 3M double sided tape for trim and such, that has come in handy too. Hope you have a great week.
Always need razor blades, rubber bands(especially to tie up cords on chargers n tools etc), n sawzall blades(though my 25 yr old sawzall just quit on me).
# 1 fluid #2 fluids BRAKE CLEANER and CARB--CHOKE CLEANER I go through it by the case a month and im not a mechanic just a busy guy about home and my shop.
I also ordered the Capri locking flex set. Looks nice. Was waiting for a year or more.. but they came out with them now! You can get a coupon for them too. I only saw option to buy the 3 set, not individually
Next week Im ordering the Tekton 3/8" metric universal socket set 6-24mm. Really happy to see they don't have collars. Then I will wait for the extra long double box end 1 solid n 1 flex head ratcheting. I have held off on mountain/Icon wrenches temporarily using my 3/8" Astro nano sockets in the long 17mm ratcheting flex head ratchet which gives you the extra reach for recessed hardware but I want 1 long wrench to break em loose n zip em off. Tekton has 3 things going for em- 1-very decent price/ quality ratio 2-EASY LIFETIME WARRANTY 3- THE TEKTON POINTS CREDIT. BY THE UNIVERSAL SOCKETS N THE NEW STUBBY BIT RATCHET(wish it was a flex head bit ratchet) n I will get $24-28 off the wrench set-
Tekton has a few great new products coming out soon too. They have some zero degree double box end ratcheting wrenches with a fixed end, a 1/4" impact socket set that goes from 4mm to 17mm too. I've been eyeing their new swivels, but I've got the matco pinless sets in literally every offering lol, so it's just the tool addict in me that wants to buy them. Please check back in and let us know how the new swivels hold up when you do get them though. Oh, btw, if you get the "mountain wrenches", definitely get the icon versions because the warranty is so much easier. Mountain won't warranty shit.
@victorhoyt4352 I'm not going for the Icon, after getting the universal sockets and bit ratchets - I should have about $30-35 in credits to put towards the $255 for the 6-19mm Tekton fixed/flex head ratcheting wrench set coming soon. There warranty is easy n there tools are strong. I'm very happy after switching the comfort grip on my 3/8" n 1/2'" flex head ratchets to Snap On hard handles. With carpal tunnel and arthritis, I can feel the hard handle better than chrome or most soft grips
@@Ninersfanatic79 yeah their prices used to be much better for sure, but their tools have improved over the years as well. I really think you'd be happier with a zero degree offset wrench, like the icon, but Tekton is about to drop their zero degree offset wrenches too. Zero degree makes things much much easier when wrenching.
I wipe out the small brushes like eatung candy, caps get used for other things and projects all the time. 😁😁 i load uo razor blades bulk oacks and plastic razor blade bulk packs . Use the platic blades everyday.

@jefftovani5535 likewise.
About duck tape its true don't buy cheap tape, if glue not strong enough ok but if it get sticky or sloppy like it difficult to clean..
Nice pick up on the latest Capri set!! Where's Bullwincle?? Still holding down the box? Everyone Neeeds a shop Moose!!
