@Armando Problemas Take your little angels, as Nayib Bukele said. Most of the prisoners are gangs and the police went straight to the most dangerous areas to begin with, which obviously also includes the lower class, and they are still looking for more in different areas. This war is not over. It seems that defending the rights of "the little angels", the so-called gang members, is something that has become very common with those crap from NGOs or Non-Governmental Organizations. You still think they are not gangs even though they are full of obvious tattoos, even though they have criminal records, even though they want to recruit more people and even make videos on TikTok admitting they are gang members. Even the few innocent people who have been arrested because they have been suspected are eventually proven innocent and set free. They are not random decisions. You are misinformed left and right parties. You should inform yourself more. Other countries would like justice to act like this, especially in Latin America, to take action and stop justifying the actions of those "little angels."
@Armando Problemas Excuse me, but my brother and my mother were killed by gang members in El Salvador. There is poverty in every country around the world with one tiny fraction of criminality of that one of El Salvador. There’s is approximately 2 million people under 30. And you’re telling me after it arrested 10 thousand guys, government is targeting indiscriminately poor innocent kids with their bodies full of tattoos expressing the gangs they belong to, full of weapons and multiple cellphones that they use to ask for extortion( rent). As far as the government arresting people without due process is a big fat lie. The exception regime allows the government to arrest, and delays the process; but it doesn’t eliminates it. Did you know that real victims, poor but hard working people tire of paying extortion are tipping the police.

Come down to Vancouver lower mainland. There’s 2 places that have authentic pupusas just like ES. El rinconcito on commercial drive El Caracol on Victoria Drive (fav)
Omg!! This video made me so happy. Same thing happened to my husband and I. We got our flights for the end of this March and all that about the maras happened, we were worried but when We got there we never felt this safe before. Police and Soldiers everywhere, that was definitely a relief. After 14 years we had the opportunity to go back and we had the most amazing experience. The weather around March and April are the hottest (summer time) in El Salvador and it was shocking I don’t remember how I managed it to survive that weather before, I was missing for a second my cold weather in Canada. 🤣 Those candies you were buying are hand made the first one you asked is shredded coconut and the other has cashews, the one you bought I believe is sweet potatoes. Next time try some dulce de leche/tamarindo, or cocada. With this video you brought some nice memories to me, we didn’t have enough time to visit “El Centro”. Hope you’re able to go back and enjoy my country again!! Blessings 🫶🏼

stayed in El Salvador for 2 months - didn't have any problems - stayed in a safe area and practiced other safety measures (as a tourist) - crime is every corner of the world; can't escape it.
@@TheYarbros There's several vlogs I've seen of black people traveling around El Salvador (mainly tourist hot spots) that really helped me prepare for going.
We get a bad rep by National media for political driven reasons but EL SALVADOR is safe, just like anywhere in any American city anything can happen here. That goes for anywhere you go.. thank you for visiting 🙏🏽
I see you stopped by some cool murals. I think one was of St. Oscar Romero. Can you tell me more about him and what he did for El Salvador? I also appreciate your tips. Stay safe on your travels.
Yes, it didn't make this video but it will in the next. He spoke up for #thepeople when it was very dangerous to. He was assisnated by the military and he inspired a movement of resistance.
`Glad you decided to go. The recent weekend of violence was an oddity as ES has become a very safe country since the new president went into office in 2019. The stories you mentioned happened a long time ago. BTW if you go to Pupuseria Las Vegas, up the road from Picnic, you'll find a better view and a longer slide which is free. Lots to learn, glad you're willing. Saludos!

Guys, as much as i love El Salvador and living here.. Pls be careful where you go! It would be always good to have a local advising you. I wish you a nice stay, hopefully you go to the beach and enjoy!
I just felt that you emphasized the gangs too much, the police and army are there to protect you, not to scare you. It might be a shock too see that much security, I’m sorry that you felt that you had to talk more about the gangs than the actual beauty of the country. I hope that if you comeback you get to see what we see, which is beautiful beaches mountains and volcanoes.
We are honest and transparent w/ what we see. In all honesty, I feel we gave everything the proper attention it deserved. Days before we arrived a gang was in the streets murdering ppl. Army, police and armed guards were everywhere we went and still we discussed the kindness and beauty of the people. I hope we can visit again after the #cleanup has taken place.
@@TheYarbros yeah this was just a huge anomaly in crime. Ever since President Nayib Bukele got democratically elected by a vast majority into office he and the new congress have been cleaning the mess the left and right corrupt parties made. He is the most popular president in the world (literally). But anyway the reason for the crime spike was that a couple of billionaire investors had come to visit the country and the opposition funded by nefarious foreign governments(any guesses?) were upset that the president installed bitcoin as legal tender and other reasons so they paid these gangs to make the country look horrible . Not a very subtle coincidence.

I stay trying to practice. Nice to know it is making a difference.....doesn't always feel like it 😅😊
Nice market great patches! Stay safe. I found a Latin restaurant here in town(Victoria,BC) that has Papusas on their menu! I’m eager to try them!
Hopefully they'll do them right because they are delicious!
Come down to Vancouver lower mainland. There’s 2 places that have authentic pupusas just like ES.
El rinconcito on commercial drive
El Caracol on Victoria Drive (fav)

Thumbs-up 👍 thanks for sharing your experiences. I've never been there before looks beautiful. What a beautiful couple you two are😊
Thank you!!!
Glad you are enjoying our country.
Those candies you were buying are hand made the first one you asked is shredded coconut and the other has cashews, the one you bought I believe is sweet potatoes. Next time try some dulce de leche/tamarindo, or cocada. With this video you brought some nice memories to me, we didn’t have enough time to visit “El Centro”. Hope you’re able to go back and enjoy my country again!! Blessings 🫶🏼
This really touched my heart! Thanks for watching, sharing your experience and for inviting us back! We shall return for some beach time!
Wow! Great video..very informative..stay safe and enjoy!

Thanks! 😃
Now that I've watched the whole video. I really liked your changing stations transition. I saw some fear factor on that tube slide.
Thanks and yes that slide was fun and a slight scare!🤣😲
great video, you guys should've gone to SURF CITY 🏄♂️ 🌊.
🙏 THANKS.
I'm from El Salvador.

But I'm currently living in New Jersey.
Thank you! Next time - we wanted to visit El Tunco but decided to save it for another time.
thanks for the ATM tips..hidden cameras~ wow. Stay Safe as always☺
Criminals come up with some insane schemes. Thanks for watching!
My favorite vacations have been in El Salvador . People are so friendly and will make you feel at home. Doesn't matter what color or race you are people will be super friendly. Airbnbs are affordable and the country is beautiful.
We concur except for the aurnbbs in San Salvador were crazy expensive.
These people know!! Gans in El Salvador are 100% US exports.
Yup!
stayed in El Salvador for 2 months - didn't have any problems - stayed in a safe area and practiced other safety measures (as a tourist) - crime is every corner of the world; can't escape it.
Glad you had a safe experience there. You’re right, can’t escape crime. Traveling with eyes wide open is a great way to stay safe.
Thank you for visiting my beautiful El Salvador.
Thanks to visit my country
Thanks for hosting us!
Saludos!
Thank you for watching and educating us about El Salvador!
@@TheYarbros Gracias por la visita a mí pais ÉL SALVADOR 👉🇸🇻💙🇸🇻 y gracias a mí presidente nayib Bukele 👍 LIKE 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Quatepeke Lake y El Tunco are also a must when in El Salvador.
You guys forgot the curtido y salsa de tomate for the pupusas. Really hope y’all tried a revuelta!
Thanks for the tips and yes we did yummy!
Excellent video
Thank you!
Guys, as much as i love El Salvador and living here.. Pls be careful where you go! It would be always good to have a local advising you. I wish you a nice stay, hopefully you go to the beach and enjoy!
Thank you for the love and advice we appreciate it! Blessings and thanks for watching!
@@TheYarbros From today on i'll watch more :) Great video and vibes guys!
@@1712katja Appreciate you 🤟🏾
Nice video guys! Enjoy el Salvador 🇸🇻 the time passes slow in that country !
Thank you!
Totally agree. They mostly visited the areas with high crime. San Benito is safer than most areas in the USA
@@TheYarbros dont' worry, im salvadorean and I feel the same way when I go visit.
@@TheYarbros look like some ONG pay. You to talk only about the gangs and not about the country,, you are the only ones who when to el salvador just to talk about the gangs and not about the beauty of the ciuntry
Great video of my country.
Thanks!
Good safety advice!
Thank you!!!
Great video. I want to go to San Salvador in a couple months.

very sweet video thanks for visiting our country and showing the changes thanks to my president blessings
Blessings to all of El Salvador. May your president continue to make those positive changes for the people!
