  • Massive explosions have been reported deep inside of the Russian Federation as Ukraine has targeted and destroyed aircraft at airfields and major factories. The Kamaz factory has been caught on fire and suffered moderate damage shutting down a factory vital to the war effort. Ukrainian partisans snuck into a railyard and burned down a locomotive as well. Ukraine has liberated an island in the Dnipro estuary.

    Nobody expects North Korea to abide by the Geneva Convention. The Russians probably don't either. I doubt that the Chinese would take time not to be barbaric.

    • @TheShadowOfZama
      @TheShadowOfZama Месяц назад +13

      Geneva convention really is only applicable in so far you've got nations willing to enforce it on another nation. The USA has said they won't allow any international organization to prosecute Americans for war crimes and even have a military plan to invade The Hague to extract any American that would be put on trial so...having to follow the rules really is just a matter of being able to withstand foreign pressure to do so. Compare how nations reacted to Serbia with Kosovo and how they're reacting nowadays to Israel with Palestine. Serbia got carpet bombed, Israel gets international aid.

      Russian and Ukraine track gauge is 1,520 mm (4 ft 11+27⁄32 in), while the European track gauge is 1,435 mm (4 ft 8+1⁄2 in). South Korea and China use standard 1,435 mm gauge track, while North Korean systems use a range of gauge widths, but 87 percent of its tracks are 1,435 mm. When Ukraine defeats Russia, Ukraine needs to change their tracks to gauge of 1,435 mm since they wish to become a member of the EU plus it would prevent Russia from using the tracks for a future attack on Ukraine.

    The saddest part of all this war is that Ukraine was never a threat to Russia in the first place, but Putin's Russia invaded anyway. I have no hatred to the Russian people as they only know what state media propaganda wants them to know, it has been that way all their lives, it is all they know. It is the every day Russian, that has no clue of reality, that is dying in this war, when the whole thing is and was needless.

      Very well said. I am sure the average American and Russian have more in common than we think. I was friends with a 30 yo woman in Ukraine before the war, and she was quite intelligent, but she spoke Russian, all of her friends and family in Kiev spoke Russian. The Ukrainians do not want to be killing what they see as their families on the other side of the battlefield. This war should have never occurred.

      Russia went in to stop the shelling of the Donbas region by Ukraine - who broke the Minsk agreement. They also went in to stop all the Nazi battalions proliferating in the Ukraine. The US had a dozen bio labs right in the eastern border of Ukraine right next to Russia’s border. Putin did not want NATO missiles on their border and the U.S. would also not tolerate Chinese missiles in Canada or Mexico aimed at the U.S.
      Putin had a negotiated peace deal that Ukraine agree to in April 2022 but Boris Johnson and the West told Ukraine to go to war instead of peace that was on the table.

    • @snygg1993
      @snygg1993 Месяц назад

      Being a "threat" is not the only reason to be invaded ... actually, it is a reason to be not invaded.
      This is all about "moving borders" and pillage, the propaganda about a "threat" is just propaganda.
      Regarding your statement about Russians: if someone claims to "only know" what propaganda is telling ... then it is a lie.
      After WW2 every German claimed to "did not know what happened".
      There might be some details being distorted by persistent propaganda, but for the big picture, every Russian knows exactly what is happening and the wast majority either does not care or, more likely, supports it.

    10:26 it must be weird for the NK people to see modern tractors being used for war instead of their people.

    One other thing is that if all of these vehicles and farms etc... are not manned by trained military all of the time it is all a shame and if they are then you have your army spread all over hell and will not be able to coordinate the attacks

    Given the vast number of treaties, and especially the various ones party of the Geneva Convention, does this honestly come as a surprise? 😅
    The real surprise, I think, is that they're SHOWING IT. You've removed the element of surprise by doing so!
    Unless they think that doing so will make anyone think twice about invading, to not cause undue collateral damage? However, since no one was thinking of invading, they've accomplished nothing... 😏

      @@DeadJDonalol... I did the search and found the same numbers... deflated by a factor of 1000! According to your numbers, there would be not far from 20 million locomotives of various types in that country of 145 million! In the US, the number of large freight locomotives is in the low 20K.
