Finally a good explanation! Thank you very much!
I won't be lazy to thank you sir for doing this video. I was super happy to get the new rc2 after the regular one, but my excitement was lowered when I was not able to get the screen recording to my phone or MacBook for activating DJI care and I started all these ritual dances and forum checks. Quite unexpected from DJI to miss that part, they are not about super user experience, but this issues is funny. I liked that you need to get to the files through Music. Lol. Nevertheless, thank you and like for your work!
It's Appreciated! Thanks, Henrik.
Happy Flying!
This was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thanks!!!
Very good and clear explanation. thank you.
Everything was super easy to understand, thanks a lot!
IT WAS A NIGHTMARE FINDING THIS OUT!! Finally Thank you for this video. It worked!
Thanks Sir video helped me!
Excellent! Brief, informative and amusing. I'm now a fan.
really helpful , thanks man
Thanks Henrik 😊
Good job!
Yes, it's really funny that the controller doesn't store the screen recordings automatically onto the SD card of the controller. What should the SD card then be good for if it is not used for such things. So we should avise DJI to do a relevant software update enabling the controller to store these screen shots directly onto the SD card.
Exactly what I needed thanks. Why this is SO complicated ...
I'm sitting here trying to figure this out and it BROKE ME. Thank You Thank You Thank You. It couldn't be much harder if they tried. Love DJI, but not today. Like # 501.
Nice video❤❤❤❤
Just what I've been looking for, many thanks for the insight
great! I I've been looking for this for some time
Legend - thanks!
Very useful information !! Thank you ... 👍
** I appreciate the mini video video-ography lesson also !
thanks for this was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out thanks
life saver thank you!
Wow, I appreciate your videos my friend, you remind me of my dad (RIP) and the fat dude from Storage Wars LOL, thank you good sir. Much appreciated.
Thanks You for the tutorial. I would like to see a demo on quick transfer from Mini 4 to iPhone having Light cut application. Also a realtime stream from Mini 4 to RUclips.
Great video as usual ...hope they (DJI) make it simpler to retrieve screen shots
Tak!
selv tak :-)
It's amazing that they could possibly think that needing 16 finger movements to prepare the SD card to remove and plug into our computers would be an improvement. On the RC, all we had to do was to remove the card. But at least we do have a way to get there. Thanks Henrik.
very useful, thanks.
Thanks for the help🙂
So helpful. Thanks. 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for this!
That was a super super helpful video. Thank you, Henrik. But isn't there any other ways of getting the screen recording files transferred to the computer, without using an SD card?
You are fabulous!
Thanks for the video! What if I don’t have a memory card, any other way to transfer to phone or pc?
Thank you!
Nice well done. Thanks
Thanks 🙏
Great video! But can I stream and download videos from my Mini 3 Pro to my RC WHILE FLYING? And have them there after I turn off the drone? Thanks!
OMG, så nemt, har kæmpet en time med det ville have en Waypoint route lagt over på min film TAK TAK, du er Gud
I have a suggestion, what you need to do is insert a micro sd card into the controller, whether you ever intend to use it or not. Format it in the controller and then when you pull down twice on the screen for the top menu you will see setup and eject in the left lower panel of the display. Tap on the setup button, and once setup completes, you will now you will see an option called explore appear where it used to say setup. Thats your quick access to all your files, and a shortcut to the three bar menu you found on the top left through the audio section. Theres no need to move files around onto the card, unless you run out of space on the controller.
What I do is copy whatever 4k files I need off the SD card in the drone after every flying session to a new folder on my windows 10 laptop. I then reinsert the sd card in the drone. I take the RC2, get it started up and then plug the RC2 into my laptop with a usb cable. I can then see all the files on the controller and copy my screenshots and screen recordings to the new folder I created for the drone sd card. Then I unplug the RC2 from the laptop, and power up the drone. Once its connected to the RC2, and I'm confident I've saved what I want to keep to my laptop, I go into the camera settings on the controller and format the drones SD card. I then pull down the top menu on the controller, click explore and delete whatever screen shots and screen recordings I transfered to the folder on the laptop. Then I back out of there and go to profile, settings and storage and clear all my cache and flight logs etc.
What I'm left with is a clean slate to start my next flying session, and I've yet to need more than the onboard RC2 storage provided. I suppose if a person was doing a lot of screen recordings, you might need to move some of the files over onto the RC2 sd card, as you're showing in the video if one didn't have their laptop along to transfer the files off with a usb cable to a folder on the laptop and then delete them on the controller to clear space.
Great video! When i do that on my Windows hp laptop, the sd card shows as usb not a drive ? And can't even open it to retrieve anything on it? I have to figure out another way to get information from sd card to laptop?
When using the DJI mic attached to the RC2 is there a way to record mic audio directly to the SD card like I can do with drone video files?
Can you do this while it is still flying?
I need to pull the video onto a laptop as it is being recorded. I would like to save each clip to a laptop, as each clip is recorded. Is that possible?
Could I use a usb c to usb 3 and plug the controller into the laptop and move or auto save each clip onto the laptop as they are being recorded?
Thank you! Who could figure that out?!
How i get my videos on my controller onnmy laptip because i lost drone and there is no sd card in controlelr
Android File transfer still works for RC2 and Mac via USB. Using the latest version of OS too.
Not for me
@@TECHDRONEMEDIA Mac or Windows? You’ve probably done this but uninstall and install?
I’m using Mac
@@TECHDRONEMEDIA I had others tell me the same thing from one of my shorts but it clearly shows it worked. I literally offloaded footage Saturday.
I like your option but we gotta get the usb working
Great video indeed. I have a question. Can I record on the Rc2 and the drone at the same time?
Yes
@TECHDRONEMEDIA would love to know how. If you ever get a chance, please reply. I'd greatly appreciate it, bud.
When screen recording my voice sound ok But the Ambient audio sounds like it's going up and down or in and out?? It's not stable any ideas?
Hey Henrik thanks as always for the video. Have you experienced any issues with the DJI mic transmitter plugged into the RC2 controller? Like issues with the compass or attitude indicator?
no, it works like without for me
I think they've finally fixed this, perhaps with the RC2 update that happened today.
My screen recordings are now stored on the external SD card in the Movies folder.
I've spent all day getting frustrated over this.. Couldn't understand what l was doing wrong. Thank you
Glad I could help
Can someone help?! I am VERY frustrated with DJI. I've had 3 different drones crash and fall out of the sky, INCLUDING 10 minutes ago. I believe the controller is faulty. I plugged 2 different sd cards into rc2, and nothing pops up to transfer. Thankyou
This part with the SD card does not work very well
@TECHDRONEMEDIA Thank you, my friend, for your response. I ended up just plugging it into my p. C. The SD card slot and USB slot were being finicky. However, I strongly believe DJI needs to replace this controller with a new controller. I don't know enough to know why this is happening. But I have gotten the battery.Communication error and low temperature error even when it is over 40 degrees celsius outside for over 100 degrees fahrenheit
I have a question. Hopefully you can help me out or if it does work. When I’m recording with my DJI 3 there’s no sound when I transfer the video is that normal? Or is there a way of doing that?
There is no audio on the screen recording unless you hook up a microphone
Can the dji Mavic 3 Propellers work on the dji air 3?
I would say no
Hey Henrik. Im not sure why you cant use the android transfer? i show this in my video i did a while back and it works fine for me with the DJI RC2 My Mac shows them instantly.
it does not work for me and I have others report it too, maybe the cable then - at this is workaround for those with issues
@@TECHDRONEMEDIA yes very strange. i also showed that way too. Try plugging in without FCPX open see if it opens. then drag to desktop.
I have tried all the combinations
@@TECHDRONEMEDIAFair enough 👍
This is weird. For getting to internal screen record files why aren't we just connecting the included cable (USB A-USB-C) to the USB-C port of the RC2, and turning it on ? - the screen recording files show right up as a drive on the connected computer. They're under Internal/movies.
Thankyou
Thats CRZY. For example, on the AVATA 1 and I think probably 2, you can just set recording in the DJI fly app while in the settings for the drone , to record to the goggles and drone at the same time, plus automatic setting to record on takeoff. Why this convoluted procedure for the RC 2.
I did this but the quality is not there
Agreed, Henrik, this is not intuitive! We also recently went through this and made a video explaining the madness.
It's almost as if DJI just didn't care to try to make this user friendly.
The stange part is that some people are reporting it works with Android File Transfer + Mac
íts more easy conect the controler directly to a pc. not need to a dedicated program, it wil apear as an external drive. mine works great
It does not work for me and others have reported the same - but it seem there are cases like yours that does
I'm going one day and I can't even use this
Why is this so darn complicated? Such a non intuitive file structure. Sometimes I get confused if I’m looking at internal or sad card storage. It really kind of sux
When engineers tryhard to make something simple..
Typical DJi making everything harder & long winded.. Oh and thanks for not plugging the DJi wireless mic system unlike the other 5000 video showing you how to get audio onto your drone shots.
