This is the OnePlus 8 Pro, 1 year later! It was one of my favorites in 2021 and it's still one of my favorites currently. Its new price tag of $700 (or less) makes it a sleeper moving forward. I don't think there was any doubt about how good it would be now, it's clearly worthy of a pick up here in 2021, and it will definitely be a great pickup down the line.

I love my OnePlus 8 Pro, easily been my favorite device, and ive been a Samsung and pixel user the whole time, along with buying 2-3 flagships a year, this is the only phone that i havent gotten tired or bored of, and the only device ive had that hasnt aged one bit. Gone are the days of me getting bored of a phone, and wanting to upgrade to something new in 6-8 months. Phone still performs literally exactly as the day i got it, with no differences, and the only devices imo that do that are pixels. Switched from a Pixel 4 XL and note 20 ultra, and this is by far the smoothest, snappiest phone, and most fluid and quick OS out. Everything is nearly perfect with the 8 Pro. Going to keep this phone for atleast another year and a half or more, it's that good. No other phone has aged this well.
Still rocking the OnePlus 6. Super reliable.

I have been using OP 8pro for almost a year now and its been great!! The display still looks damn good...
Damn, I still have my 3T after 4 years and it is still working fine. Ok, slower for todays standards and battery not healthy as new, but it is perfectly usable.
take care, my op3 crashed 2 weeks ago randomly and it'S pretty much dead now. only turns on after 20+ attempts and crashes soon after
Just got mine for over 2 weeks. I gotta say, this phone is pretty damn good!
I think OnePlus is on the right track in making the high end product. Not piling up to many cameras especially the telephoto lens, but making an overall comfortable experience.
Great video. I'm a die hard One Plus fan. Watching on the 8 pro and looking forward to the 9 launch. Not sure whether to go for the vanilla 9 or the pro next time. I will miss the 8 pro. It's been a brilliant phone

Loved my 8 pro. Had it 11 months, just sold it recently to get ready for the 9 Pro. Back on the Pixel 3 at the moment. Even bought the S21U but had to return it as the cameras were average and was all hype! Can't wait for the OnePlus 9 Pro! Nice review Zak!

Totally agree with your video! Me being a 8pro user since 7 months! So Smoothh and Snappy. Plus the curved display, can't get over it, it's so beautiful ❤️! Still whenever I pick it up it feels like brand new and a phone from future. Only 1 complaint is - I feel it gets a bit warm to touch on daily use also, but can be because of high ambient temp. Plus I still don't feel there is much difference between 8pro and 9pro! 8 pros camera is already good enough.

I have the 7 Pro and I've been happy for the past two years. I was thinking switching up and going for the S21 ultra but with this 9 Pro and the way the company been marketing the cameras, I'm gonna lean on that and have my money ready for the release.

My carrier only had the regular OnePlus 8. I got it and I love it. I'm the guy who normally has to upgrade every year but this year I might not. Don't know how the experience could get better

I wanted this phone for the longest. But the 8t came out and then I wasn't able to afford the pro. 8t is good upgrade coming from 6t McLaren. Enjoying it so far. Nice video as always!

So you live in the US? They dropped way more in price here in europe. A new one is like 590€ and I just bought a 1 month old used one for 490

I've had it since launch. It's the first time I haven't had the itch to get a new phone.
It's the bed one I've had by far. Oxygen is everything I want in a launcher and I don't even need Nova Launcher on top.

My only regret would be retractable selfie camera, because me being not a selfie user I really appreciate uninterrupted screen, and privacy... :) By the way, great home screen! @Sci-Fi Admirer No. Don't buy into "security updates". They aren't always security, sometimes just updates. A large portion of the population are using mobile phone that don't receive any updates. You're more likely to get hacked by having your information stolen from an online service you've registered your details with.
Just bought this phone. You are right, it is awesome in all ways for this price.
I have a OnePlus 6T that I have been veery happy with and it's still plenty fast but I am considering upgrading sometime in the next year for 120 hz, brighter screen, nicer design, better haptics, speakers and cameras. But preferably well within $600. This will probably be my choice, (hoping the price continues to drop when the 9T presumably comes out soon) with it's main competitor being a used OnePlus9 which I hear has a marginally better camera that the 8pro. What do you think is the best buy between those two? Looks like the 9 is typically almost $100 cheaper on eBay.
** edit, did some research and remembered that the 9 is a cheap plastic on plastic design. Definitely the 8pro for me then!

Very nice video! Currently I'm using a iPhone 12. But I want to have a bigger screen. At first, the most logic step was to get the pro max. But here in Europe it's 1250€. Last week I went to a store and saw the galaxy 21 ultra. And damn that screen is so nice! But also 1250€ Then I thought... the 8 pro is the same size. But almost half the price! I'm very tempted to switch !!
I'm precisely looking for a replacement for my phone and I am trying to decide between this one (One+ 8 pro), the Google Pixel 5 and the Samsung S20 FE 5G, since they are all about the same price point (at least in Europe). Any recommendations over these options or any others?

I was going to get a 8 pro, but Oneplus' track record has been bad as of recent for updates for older phones. I hope they can fix that, they'ed be back at the top

U can get the Open beta in OnePlus site tho. Just give OnePlus a bit more time as I'm pretty sure they're heavily affected by the Pandemic. @@victorsvidss

I only had one issue; when my battery completely drains out I gotta keep it on charge for over 6 hours for it to boot. It's happened twice. Might have to change to the next pixel because of this though.
Other than that no problems at all.
I don't change my phone often, been on OnePlus since the 6.

The 8 pro is fantastic. I've been using a oppo x3 pro. Going back to my 8 pro it stands up against the latest and greatest.
The only real area where it's falling back , it's the camera . The camera is great but not when put up against latest devices

Watching on my op 8pro. I've had many phones most of them were Samsung phones, but this is the best phone I've ever had and used so far. Everything is so smooth and fast, camera is great, battery last 24-30h with screen time 7-8h. For me it's perfect phone.

The OnePlus 8 Pro is a bargain right now. Picked up the 12gb ram / 256gb storage model for $600 from the OnePlus online store yesterday. Glad I waited a bit before buying.
I have op5t and op7t. And I am only letting go of my white jedi 5t if the 9t has a flatter screen with pop up camera. I will pick it up in a jiffy. Otherwise 5t is still doing superwell 4 years in the run. And more sexier of a phone than the later oneplus models. So slim and and simply outstanding.
Apart from seeing this video of the OnePlus 8 Pro, I have seen other reviews of it, as I am considering a possible purchase, especially the 256Gb version, since I have a 128Gb Xiaomi Mi A2 and I am already running out and I am beginning to worry, with this Xiaomi Mi A2 I have 6Gb of RAM, very satisfied, because I have not suffered from any severe lag as if I had it with previous phones (except the mythical and unforgettable Nexus 5, which I had in my hands and it was a joy). This OnePlus 8 Pro is starting to get cheaper on some online sites and I am aware of it. I had planned to acquire the OnePlus 8T, but it is still somewhat expensive and not to mention the 9 and 9 Pro. 🤷🏻♂️📱🙏🏻👌🏻
I still love my one plus 8 pro lol it's one of my phone's I use consistently.
My biggest concern is the USBC connection. I have a 5t, some 3 years now, and the connector is borderline broken now. I have to push the cable in hard to get it to charge and fast charge just doesn't work any more
I'm watching on a OnePlus 7 Pro and considering the 8 Pro. It offers a much better value now than when it first launched in the U.S.
