Girl at the end singing is the drummer for MTH. The singing parts that Atarashii Gakko are singing are originally hers. This song is a remake. All MTH members have vocals of some capacity, so if you delve deeper in their music, they cover so many genres and mash them all, they're so good
Its amazing to find peopletoday only now getting introduced to MtH. Be due to age or genre preferences. Nao singing in the third chorus is such a powerful imagery since Nao is one of those increibly famous musicians who inspired tons of women in the japanese music industry to get started. In the video she is dressed as a Oiran or something of that nature showing that seniority presence to the newer generation (AG) having been an MtH fan for over a decade, it almost brings a tear to my eye haha.
Ok, lore drop for you. Maximum the Hormone is a metal/punk/pop/rap band. They have been genre-bending since the early 00's. They are legends, and are a big reason we are seeing so much interesting metal coming pouring out of Japan right now. They experimented so that others could roar with it. Hanabie started off in high school as a Maximum the Hormone cover band club. Nao, the lady drummer, has influenced the drummers from both Band-maid AND Nemophila. So, all of those lady bands you mentioned watching recently? Yeah, all connected to MtH. Also, recently, Ryo the guitarist has lost a bit of weight, and is looking damned good for his age. Of course, Nao the drummer is his older sister. She brought him into the band. Also, they have a lead singer in Dai, but everyone does vocals in the band at some point. And yeah, they originally did Shimi in 2007, with Nao doing all of AG's parts in this. So, very fitting that she was "overseeing" the younger band in the third clean vocals section.
10:16 🤣 I've watched a few reactions to this and yours is the correct response: "Not available on digital platforms. Uhhhhh I'm watching it right now?!"
I just saw Atarashii Gakko live in Boston yesterday! This dropped while they were touring and they played it before there intro on stage. It was so nice to see! One of the best concert experiences I have had
About the AG and BabyMetal collab, BM posted a photo with them a couple months ago and that initiated the spark of hope for that collab to happen, last week AG performed in Mexico City as their first ever solo presentation in the country, and they were interviewed for a local paper, there Suzuka stated she also wishes for that to happen and that it should be something big.
To correct you, yes, this is a Maximum the Hormone song with Atarashii Gakko added. This song was released originally in 2007 along with Zetsubo Billy (Ending Song for Death note)
SHIMI 🔥🤘💥 Legendary MtH feat. my favorite free spirited AG! What an epic collaboration! Love ATARASHII GAKKO!'s versatility. They are never afraid to try new things and never let themselves be boxed in one style or genre only. New School indeed!
The second song in the PR message at the end, after Shimi, is another re-recording feat ano which is yet to be released on YT, but someone told me it's on Spotify. ano is another really popular female artist, and she fits perfectly into Maximum the Hormone because she's basically as crazy as them and pretty much an anti-comformist. If you're interested in her watch the mini-documentary "Japan's Most Hated (or Loved?) Idol" or the MV of her song "Fuhen", with CCs.
You are not overhyping. There has been several banger collaborations lately, and this is one. It is totally fantastic. Shimi is really an old song (2007) and then the drummer Nao made the clean singing all the times, but now she only did it the last time and Atarash Gakko the other ones.
I saw them in August 2011, at Le Bataclan (Paris). It was undoubtedly the most breathtaking and exhausting concert of my life. The walls of the hall were sweating. I had to wring out my T-shirt at the end of the concert 😅
Shimi is an old MTH song and this version is a collaboration of different styles of music and also generations as MTH have been around for a while and AG! are up and coming. I'll leave it to MTH fans to give you more info on them. I think there's more cross over between MTH and AG! fans that you might expect as both are transgressive and original in their own ways. The lady at the end is Nao, MTH's drummer and also she also sings.
Atarashii Gakko standing on a torii gate pulling the hardest super hero poses ever while Suzuka screams from a megaphone is one of the hardest images ever captured on film.
Shimi(Stain) is an older MTH (MaXIMUM tHE hORMONE) track from 2007. AG fit into this collab incredibly well. MTH is pretty legandary in Japan and very influential. Hanabie started out as a MTH cover band and the drummers from Band-Maid & Nemophila were inspired by MTH's drummer, Nao (She was the last solo singer in the video) that girls could be drummers. MTH loves genre flips (METAL/ROCK/PUNK/POP/RAP) on a dime and it works perfectly. The visuals in this MV are phenomenal. Grungy, post apocalyptic, traditional Japanese culture, even some Japanese horror movie elements. FYI": Zetsubou Billy was the track on Death Note.
Well, last Thursday they played this MV before AG's concert started. It was kind of "live".... It was definitely louder than my home stereo. 😄 Check out "Pineapple Kryptonite" from AG, was the first song I heard from them.
Atarashii Gakko are so refreshing you have no idea what theyll do next, its awesome. Thank the gods its not just stripper dancing to alternative hiphop backing track, like the entire kpop industry
How had it happened? Ryo laid an egg ruclips.net/video/uYf7C5OwKN8/видео.html and yes, they performed this live in Japan, but I have only seen pictures of it. Ano is goated too. Not only did she collab with MtH, but she also did a rocking karaoke of their song "bu-ikikiesu".
the song is a ramake. Shimi was one of MtH most popular songs, and last woman in the chorus is the drummer, the guy with the dreadlocks sister you her her singing in deathnotes season 2 outro along with a lot of their songs.
Maximum The Hormone are the creative high-flyers and living metal legends in Japan. They have influenced a lot of bands and musicians, such as Hanabie (Hah-Nah-Bee-Eh with four syllables, please don't forget the fourth syllable Eh like the E in error) who started out as an MTH cover band. You can find a very wild mix of different genres in many MTH songs, the combination with Atarashii Gakko here just tops it all off. The song that many people listen to first from MTH if they haven't seen Death Note is Yoshu Fukushu. Since you're not limited to one genre and are apparently open to weirder songs, please check out the experimental rock masterpiece Spiderweb by the band BRATS.
When you ask who's this the women singing in Japanese pretty outfit was the drummer of maximum the hormone bro 😂 she's is insanely skilled drummer also a singer
Pls react to the other Maximum the Hormone songs such as Yoshu Fukushu , Alien and check out a band called JILUKA “ VENOM “ definitely. You will be blown away 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

You need react to yoshu fukushu by maximum the hormone, and the songs from death note what's up people and Zetaubou bully and the song for dragon ball z, "F" they do that songs for the animes
Eventually, with MTH, you get used to "I don't understand" as a new normal and you stop worrying about it. Treat MTH lyric translations with extreme scepticism. Their songs are full of puns and wordplay (like their band name). Add to that the fact that Ryo (guitar, vocals, songwriting) loves to fuck with people's heads and you kind of realise that expecting simple meanings is futile. All MTH members do vocals. Nao, the drummer is the woman in trad clothes who sings near the end. AG are singing the parts that were hers on the original version of the song. AG did a great job here. I've no idea if Mizyu played shamisen on the track (I kind of doubt it) but if she doesn't know how to play she did a very convincing acting/miming job. I know they're experienced air guitarists. Fortunately, although MTH and AG's usual musical territories are quite different, they share the common ground of being fckng nuts, so everything works. I love this. Nemophila also did a cover of this song, 'SHIMI'. Mayu sings Ryo's, Dai's and Nao's vocal parts on that one! Maybe check it out?

He really should go deeper into this band
There is no shortage of their content
It's weird hearing "girl" to describe Nao, she's a mom and only 7 month younger than me at age 49 😂
The drummer is also a vocalist in MAXIMUM THE HORMONE and they sing the second opening and second ending of DEATH NOTE
Its amazing to find peopletoday only now getting introduced to MtH. Be due to age or genre preferences.

This is an old MtH song revamped with AG. The last lady singing with Suzuka is NAO, the drummer of MtH.

Holy crap😮
Nao is her name
And Ryo(the guitar)’s sister
@@pepe9354 yes they are crazy people (in a good way) both do skilled at what they do
Nao Kawakita ❤
This is a re-recording of an earlier MTH album track. Suzuka, and, Kanon's parts were originally all sung by MTH's drummer, Nao.
The female vocalist wearing a kimono is the drummer of Maximum Hormone
I found AG! about 2 years ago. I saw them on tour a couple of months ago and man, they've quickly become one of my favs.

Shimi's been around for a long time. This is a great revival! I like the little hip-hop addition from AG, though, too.
According to the fandom quite alot of metal fans like atarashii gakko im quite new to the fanbase but have seen fans saying so
I am one pretty much NEVER listen to pop but love AG.
They are mostly a jpop/jazz fusion/eclectic group with a definite metal attitude, everything they do is fun and entertaining.
