The girls in the school uniforms are Atarashii Gakko 4 girl group, MTH are a 4 person band the drummer is a girl, and the sister to the dude in dreads.
Maximum The Hormone are active legends in Japan and have inspired some bands and musicians there, for example Hanabie, who started out as an MTH cover band in middle school. MTH have been active since the end of the nineties and play many different genres, often all in the same song. This song with the very unusual Jpop group Atarashii Gakko is for us the best song and music video of this year so far. Another brilliant song from MTH is Yoshu Fukushu.
@@Cvillain626 Not just listened to, but yeah, they were definitely the coolest. Some classmates were also shocked when they heard that sweet little Yukina growls like Daisuke. Hanabie are now very well known internationally and you can still hear MTH's influences. When I look at your name, I recommend you listen to the song Tales Of Villain by Hanabie.
This is one of their less "SOAD" sounding songs. A lot of their songs really do have a lot of SOAD vibes. However, great song still! It's a older song rerecorded to feature a really cool idiosyncratic J-pop group called Atarashii Gakko, the 4 women in school uniforms. So there are 4 members of MTH and 4 members of Atarashii Gakko. In MTH there are the singer, guitarist, bassist, drummer. All of them sing other than the bassist. The women singing in the last clean chorus behind Atarashii Gakko is the drummer of MTH (Nao) in different clothes. She is also the inspiration for Band Maids Drummer and Nemophilas drummer. Both Akane and Tamu cited her as their inspiration to either start or focus on drums. Hanabie begun as a cover band of MTH in school as well. Atarashii Gakko are essentially a singing / dancing group. but with much more energy and interesting dance moves than most J-pop groups. A lot of "ugly" dancing as in not what would usually be considered how a pop group might dance, but it really fun to watch. A lot of metalheads like Atarashii Gakko despite the fact their own music is not metal at all. Their attitude just hits right for a lot of metal lovers.
also should mention, that every member of Atarashii gakko is great at singing, each of its own way, so their songs tend to differ one from other, depending who takes part in singing
Maximum The Hormone is huge influence in Japan, this is a MTH song from about 15 years ago. Nao the drummer did all the parts in the original that Atarashii Gakko did in this version. The mixing of musical styles you find in many Japanese bands comes MTH's influence. Nao is cited as a major influence by may female drummers, like Akane from Band-Maid and Tamu from Nemophia, Tamu started drumming when was young, once she found out that the MTH drummer was female. Hanabie started as a MTH cover band in highschool.
Two bands. MTH and Atarashii Gakko. MTH have four members: Nao Kumamoto (AKA Nao Kawakita) - Drums and vocals Daisuke Tsuda (AKA Daisuke Han) - Growl, scream, rap, vocals Ryo Kawakita (AKA Maximum the Ryo-kun) - Guitar and vocals Futoshi Uehara (AKA Ue-Chang / Ue-chan) - Bass and vocals Nao and Dai started the band. Guitarist Ryo is Nao's younger brother and kind of the band's songwriter and insane genius. The woman in traditional clothing singing near the end is Nao. As a drummer she has inspired lots of female drummers including Tamu from Nemophila and Akane from Band-Maid. The four younger women are Atarashii Gakko, an eccentric pop group who have the perfect attitude for guest feature on an MTH song. This is an epic reworking of an older MTH song. Nemophila do a cover of this on their RUclips channel too.
Been nice if you'd given Atarashi Gakko the credit they deserved 🤷♂ . The 4 girls featured in the video are a completely different group and MTH did a remake of this song featuring them - the original song is over 10 years old . Atarashi Gakko are VERY successful in their own right - they're a "performance " group who feature singing and dancing in their shows and have just completed a successful sold out world tour ( including lots of US dates ) You got there eventually ! 🤣
The masters of genre flips. They are legends in Japan and very influential with the newer genearation. Yes The Ring or The Grudge vibes when AG was doing the body mvements.
Yoshu Fukushu, Buki-something japanese, Lets talk about Menkata Cottelee, ALIEN, F, Whats up people, Friza, Zetsabou billy. All amazing :) ps all 4 members of MTH sing. It keeps their songs very interesting
Interesting take. We were sent to them because we mentioned system of a down, who's also going on 27 years.. it's ok to have infulences or similarities. Doesn't take anything away from them or anyone. It's also strongly pointed out that Hanabie was influenced by them to the point they were a cover band. You have to start somewhere.
Cool reaction men. Another Japanese band you might enjoy is Hagane who have just been reborn with a new singer and drummer. HAGANE-HeroTime (LIVE Music Video) at: ruclips.net/video/-uIGtQNesx0/видео.html
MTH have four members. You are watching a remake of an old song done this time in collaboration with the three girls from the dance-vocal troupe, ArashiI Gakko. ASAMI of LOVEBITES sings, “Ignorance is bliss. It’s easier to never care”.

I love that there were middle schoolers listening to MTH...coolest motherfuckers in the whole school right there

@@millennialxreactions Your reactions are great - you'll soon get the hang of it ! 🤣
Thanks
I like your original, “blank slate” reactions. Keep is going the MTH. You won’t be disappointed.

“I get an influence” is very Westerncentric” MtH have been on this mixed genre route for quarter of a century.
