Bob thanks for showing your extensive collection and layout - you must suffer the same problems I have in deciding what to run with various rolling stock combinations. Keep posting it is always helpful to see alternative layout designs.
What a fabulous layout. I have shown this to the wife. She says no to the house due to the grandchildren need to sleep inside when they visit - but possibility for a bigger shed in the garden. However I will still keep showing her this video, pointing out that super 4 and Triang is far cheaper than today’s brand new offerings.
@andrewhead6267 thank you for the compliment and i wish you luck with the room, and my grandchildren often will come in and watch trains and if an accident happens the trains are usually child proof. Shed is a good idea but not for super 4 as the steel track will rust at the slightest moisture. Cheers bob.
Fabulous fabulous layout and display of your collection. I seriously need your help, pity I moved away. Love those bridges and your storage system. You have done a great job with those shelves. I have many of the locos you have, one in particular is the CR Single. A bit of a story behind that one, will replace the magnet with sone lead as per 00Bill. I didn’t quite catch how you avoid the hum from the Triangs, can you explain? I was born in Partick, hence the station name but moved to Knightswood just before they pulled the tenement down😕 Regards Charlie
@@charlie1872 Hi Charlie, thanks for the lovely comment and hope all goes well with the cr single. The original is in the museum just over the road from Partick Station. The reason I think for the transformers not making the triang x04 motors hum is that they use electrolytic capacitors inside controller. Oscar paisley uses them and 00bill uses one . I like mine as it keeps my locomotives at a more manageable speed, down side is double heading triang not good and heats up controller. Take care, bob.
@@shedhead00 Bob, I grew up going to the Art Galleries nearly every Sunday as it was a short walk from Vine St. I think that was because it was the only time my parents had time for themselves in the room and kitchen. Any time I get back from Toronto I visit the museum. I modified the Triang R 965 controllers as per Johns Amazing trains, it might be the same principle but I am not an expert and will check out Oscar and Bill for that info
