The apollo is espensive, needs to be 200 dollars for the masses to afford it. 30 days of use is not sufficient to test it. It didn't start working for me till at least 3 months, but I stuck with it and love it now. It's a hard sell, but it really does significantly reduce my flight or fight I always got when working, delt with my whole life. It's virtually gone, it has trained my mind to on the rare case I notice the response now, I just fire up my neuro and it's gone. I sleep 8 hours now. So yeah, it's taken about 3 months, 30 days just doesn't cut it, almost sent mine back, was too busy to remember to, they were still going to take it back after 30 days, but I decided to give it another chance. Oh, I have been meditating since 2013, and yes the benifits of the meditation stack, use it. Last thing, these reviewers sometime mention a discount code at the end of their video, saves you 50 bucks, so watch all the reviews!!
Which program do u use to reduce fight flight? I get that i. Social situations all the time, dont think the social mode would be good for me as I assume it will activate my sympathetic nervous system..
I started using an Apollo Neuro about a month ago. I have been using an Oura ring to measure personal exercise and sleep data for several years. TBH, I did not expect much from the Apollo, since the vibrations seemed so slight. To my surprise, at a time when my life is pretty stressful, my Oura tells me that two aspects of sleep have improved: my deep sleep and my REM sleep have both increased significantly. I am an older person, for whom good REM sleep has been elusive, so that is a real benefit. My HRV has not improved, but I’m still hoping that I will see a benefit there as well.
I seem to fall asleep quickly, but can't stay asleep.. either waking up every ~hour.. then waking up at 4am unable to fall back asleep. I'd be interested in not so much tracking but a device to get my brain to shut-off and sleep! I've tried lots of supplements (ex. trulacta, dream water, but no luck). Any thoughts how the Apollo Neuro compares with similar devices, like the NeuvanaLife , Sensate 2 or Cove? Or thoughts on other sleep devices that may help with maintenance insomnia? NeoRhythm , Neurosity, Kernel, BrainTap, Muse S, Levels, Dreem 2, Circadia, Fisher Wallace Stimulator, SR1 Delta Sleeper, Talentbaby , OpenBCI, or NextMind,
Thank you for the review. I purchased one and have been using it for about three weeks now. I am no where near as scientific as you are with your data points and all that but I do think it is helping me to feel reduced anxiety and panic, and is helping me sleep better. Are you still using and receiving benefit from your apollo?
Yes I am! Always difficult to say how much it's helping, but especially while trying to sleep I enjoy how it feels, so that's enough for me to keep with it. :)
Appreciate the review! The reason you don't see continuous improvements week over week is because the Apollo just brings you to your ideal human physiological homeostasis. It wont defy or change physiological human norms/parameters.
Bought one a while back!!! Didn’t work for me at all!!! And, whatever results I DID feel was probably all in my head. Expecting and hoping that it WOULD work made me feel like maybe it WAS working. But, kept using it for almost a month and no real difference!!!
@@ceeell5772 I saw another review where the RUclipsr said they had worse sleep while using it, and they realized that they had it on the wrong mode while sleeping, like one of the energy modes. lol Oops
Correct me if I’m mistaken but the improvements don’t seem significant, no? Oh, and I’ve bought six Muse meditation devices and three of them broke in about a year each so I wonder how long it will last. I’d like to know where it’s made. China? I’d really have to think long and hard about buying it if it’s made in China. Durability is a big one for me since it would stretch my finances out.
They say assembled in the USA, so I'd guess it's put together in the US using parts made elsewhere. I've used it quite a lot for several months now without issue, but of course this is just my experience. In terms of improvements, those sorts of things are hard to quantify. I keep using it because I think it helps me feel a little bit happier, and especially when trying to sleep, I find it relaxing. It certainly is not a magic cure. For example I'm dealing with pretty serious insomnia right now and I use the device every night.
@@DanDascalescu-dandv I am actually dealing with some pretty horrific insomnia right now, so it certainly isn't a cure as I do use this every night. I had a traumatic life event which made my insomnia rise to this level, however, so it's hard for me to fully know how much this is or isn't helping. I do like the feeling of having it on at night as I think it's calming, regardless of other effects.
@@MattBorchert Sorry to hear that :( Sleep is hard. I've been quantifying it for ~10 years (forum.quantifiedself.com/c/quantified-self/sleep/13) and other than "try to maintain consistent hours" and the other general sleep hygiene guidelines, I haven't found any silver bullet. There are all sorts of purported techniques to "fall asleep in 2 minutes", that have been used by the military, but as far as I can tell, being exhausted on a constant basis is what causes passing out nearly instantly when the opportunity arises.
Matt, can you explain the Badges? Do they map to how many minutes you have used a mode? Also, any experience with a mode not running for its full amount of time? Thanks for the thorough review!
The badges are more just of a fun thing that lets you know if you've used the device a certain amount, I wouldn't worry about them too much. It's not a substantial feature of any sort. As far as the mode not fully running, I don't think I've really run into that. Sometimes when I fully close the app I would think it would end early, but I never really confirmed that.
That seems a little bit slow to me. I charged mine via an outlet with a plug in USB charger. Took a few hours, but six hours should be a full charge for sure.
Interesting, there was no subscription available when I did this review. Meditation can provide the same benefits and there's tons of good free apps out there.
if bad dreams are an issue, you may check to see if your glucose is dropping too low while sleeping (hypoglycemic). Melatonin helps as well as eating something with all three macros prior to bed:). Took us a while to figure out what was causing our daughters bad dreams!

Glad it was helpful!
It was, I ordered the device and waiting for it to arrive.
very thorough review, i'm going to release mine on wednesday

i wish i could get one to test for a week, want to try but not spend tht much if it doesnt work.
I hope this reply is not too late. The product has a 60-day money back guarantee.

My RHR as shown by Oura decreased from 51 to 44 after about a month of resistance training every other day (mostly compound exercises).

Google vagus nerve simulation, that will help fill in the technical details for you.
