I found Land of the Free 1.0 via HUSH and have been hooked on these series ever since. I've never hunted a day in my life, but have always wanted to. This type of hunt (hiking, etc.) would have been especially exciting for me because I loved being in the outdoors. I won't get the chance in this lifetime to hunt, as I had a spine/cord injury about 13yr ago now. Plus I've never even held a gun, haha. I did play with a bow and arrow as a kid. My brother eventually did get a "real" one, but until then we mostly made them from branches of live trees and whittled the arrows, haha. By the time my brother got a real one, there was no way in heck he was going to let his little sister 'play' with it/try it! I really have enjoyed these videos and "meeting" other people in your industry. I do have to say, that aside from HUSH, Dirk seems like a riot and a great guy to share a camp with let alone a hunt. I'm happy that you guys got out there again for this series and following this one, I'll be re-watching 3.0. Thanks for sharing your adventures. 91 cars on the way in holy crap you must be in a popular unit. I live and hunt in CO and never see anything close to that many people during archery but I like to go where others don't. Any unit near I-70 is always super packed or any unit near the front range also.

What is the wind checker powder you are using?? It is the stuff Trent was using (in Oregon) that caught my attention, looks to leave a silky smooth trail that appears to be way better than what I use.

Part of our hunting group ran into Jason Phelps in the backcountry in Idaho this year. Let me tell you when he came bugling in the canyon we thought the biggest baddest bull moved in. That guy can bugle so loud.
In Colorado 1sr week of September, saw lots of elk, bulls weren't talking. Rained, sleeted, and snowed every day. Had a great time. 90% beetle killed pine. Doesn't look like the Colorado I always remember
