I’m coming up to 50 and had my license just over a year and wonder what the f**k I’ve been missing all these years. This is the most inspirational channel I have found on here and now want to ride at every opportunity I get. Even though I was based in Edinburgh with my time in the army, I only ever travelled Scotland in the late 70s early 80’s in the back of a car. Can’t wait to get up there again but this time on two wheels.
Many thanks and a pleasure to watch 👍

I think I know the restaurant in Glencoe you’re talking about haha, I went in 2019 and the barman downstairs was not shy about voicing his annoyance at customers, put the whole place on edge. A few tables including me were catching each other’s eyes and making “naughty schoolboy” faces at each other.
I will say the restaurant staff that served me were lovely, let me buy a couple of beers to take back to my tent to enjoy by the loch.

The wife and I made this same trek in late May 22, and it was raining a bit more than what it was here, and it was one of the most beautiful drives any where in the world. The clouds and what seemed like hundreds of waterfalls along “Skyfall” road was fantastic.

Scotland is amazing, ridden those roads a few times and can't wait go back. The combination of flowing fast sweepers and outstanding scenery is unbeatable. One thing about the tyres and you saying you felt increasingly confident in them, I think a big factor is the road surfaces. I guess they use local stone, but it's amazingly grippy dry or wet, but it rips through tyres at a astonishing rate.

Unlike last year's vid, I haven't had to watch the bikes coming towards you to see if I'm there as when I did these roads this summer it was pissing the whole way!! I am based in the North East now but originally from Glasgow ( I know, wa's like us...) so I know these roads really well and LOVED riding them again. What really struck me compared to up Aberdeenshire and Cairngorms area is the lack of junctions and options accessing the road. So, you can feel more relaxed as you swing through the bends without being on guard for pull outs so much.

I stumbled onto to a secret optitions don't want you to know about. You only need to wear one contact lens. Or if you wear glasses wear near and far lenses. This way you don't need expensive varifocles lenses which are a rip off. You can see close up and far away because your brain sorts the images out so works fine. If I wear both contacts I can't see my phone. Also if you wear glasses and a neck tube, wear your glasses over the neck tube on your nose, that way hot air doesn't fog up your glasses. Those anti fog wipes are good too🎉

When did you go? the ferry was back in June 23 when I did Ardnamurchan Point on my Rebel 1100 and there is a very cheap campsite in Strontian with shop, fuel and cafe nearby if it is getting a bit late to attempt the point which is a lot of single track roads and took a couple of hours from Strontian. It was hard work with the bike loaded up for my motorcamping trip across the final leg from Kilchoen to the lighthouse but the views were worth the effort in the end.

@@teapotone oh, I thought yours Android too. I guess that's why the difference. Yes, I can cycle through the two smaller fields, but not through the big one with the next turn (it's the size of two). The big one is not changeable on mine. Thank you.
And great video! Watched now all 3 days, you should release day 4 soon 😂

Just listening to your comments on roadsmart 4's. I had them.on the trophy and wasn't keen to start with but after 500 miles or so they somehow just got better and better. Like you said " it's in your head". Happy new year Bruce by the way

Am so gutted to have missed our Scottish weather 🤣
But glad to see it didn’t dampen the spirits !
On a side note watching the trip later in the year is simply a fantastic way to relive the memories 😊.
Glad I got to have dinner and spend the evening with everyone hearing the tails of the first couple of days 👌.....
    Another fantastic tour episode 👏🥃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Although you’ll be a better rider than me being police trained and all that I’m curious as to why you rev the tits off your gs rather than use the torque of the engine.nice video,I love Scotland also.

Didn’t think I did John? There’s plenty more revs at the top to go, but you get very little power up there so I tend to hit maybe 8-9k tops usually before changing gears if I’m on one.
