Sooooooo true! They try to bore you to death... They should make us all specialize in one particular property type/area like condos or houses or commercial so the courses would be more practical
Yea but at the end of the day it’s a salesperson job where once your licensed you get to choose what avenue you go down and create your own schedule being a real estate agent is like being a business owner and you are your product and I feel like that’s what a lot of people fail to realize
@@austingreiner3155 were definitely business owners! You're social media marketing is great btw! Keep it up. And tucsan is unbelivably inexpensive relative to toronto!!
Being a good real estate agent requires having some integrity, being honest and transparent so clients can trust you, and knowing the difference between a property built in 1970 and 2005.
In South Africa there is no real estate school you go to an agency and work under a qualified agent for a year literally hit the ground running from day 1 and then after considering the hours, sales, and progress sheets you get your qualification and can work independently. We're working on our own and constantly learning as we go!
In the US, once you get your license, most brokerage companies offer a mentorship program where the agent can work under a broker and still work and learn as they go. Real Estate school is still necessary which is why we have them.
I'll be starting in real estate next week, and I'm hoping you can make a video about what we need to know as beginning sellers and what information do we need to have? like you know commission, fees, what is best to sell offlan or ready properties.
It’s been 5 months now, how is it going?? Are you getting paid well enough to survive during these hard times?? I want to get my license but I’m very nervous!
The licensing isn't training for the field though, thats up to a person to figure out. Its not a degree, its not supposed to teach how to do the work. Its just making sure laws are understood.
If these real estate agents have my intention, then they're just getting in to get out (doing the time in order to attain financial freedom and go our own way).
How can someone be of assistance or be of value to any real estate agent? I am trying to get into the middle to help the process so that agent can go grow the business while they hand off some of the responsibility to me.
Got my license 5 months ago. Still have no idea what i’m doing and i agree the classes only teach you legal aspects pertaining real estate and ethical practices.
So you’re now about 6 months in. What would you say your financial situation looks like? I was thinking of getting my VA RE license but I’ve heard scary stories regarding being a RE agent. Would you say you financially stable?
@@Koisuu It's kind of scary at first specially as a new RE agent. In the beginning I was only doing RE part time and working my full time job so i could still pay my monthly expenses. I'm slowly becoming more financially stable with being a RE agent and in fact I already put in my 2 weeks for my other job to do RE full time. I got lucky because I immediately got clients through my connection working at BMW dealership here in CA so some of my first clients are co-workers and customers at the dealership. Definitely got to do a lot of open houses to get in front of people to be able to get a chance to work with them. Also depends on where you live on how stable it will be. CA has been stable at least here in Northern California.
@@johnreyles4465thanks for sharing your experience. I’m guessing you have a team of people you work with as a RE agent right ? Or are you doing this all on your own ? I’m just wondering cause this is something I really want to do I’m working on going to school to get my license.
try getting your license to be a mortgage broker! Hah! I call it the minimal amount that you need to know to keep you out of jail! Basically, there is not much practical information that could assist you out of the gate to help you get business and close a mortgage. These licensing programs need to implement actual skills that you need at the REAL job.
Every agent should be promoting properties that will appreciate in value for buyers, no different to promoting any other financial product. Most real estate agents dont know sh*t.
I absolutely agree with you! The license is just to teach you the legal aspects and make sure you dont take advantage of people. They dont have to show you how to run a business.
No they don’t have to, and “figuring “ it out might lead to trouble with clients, a transaction or law. I am very fortunate to be at Berkshire Hathaway where a very very knowledgeable and helpful office manager showed me everything so I don’t crash and burn and could excel in my career. She didn’t have to but she goes above and beyond to help make us all successful.
Yes, quality>looks. Just provide better service in your field of work. Plus, comparison is the thief of joy, nobody is like you so take advantage of that and be the best you can be. Take care of yourself and focus on yourself. It’s too easy to become distracted
Or maybe it's just that the attractive agents are the most viewed therefore populating it into your feed more often. I know quite a few agents who aren't model material (myself included) and we are successful! Another point: agents have SO much training available to them. A lot of us who are involved in trainings, growing our business, and being more efficient ALSO hear a lot of advice on how we present ourselves. While I'm not coming from a place of vanity, there is a lot of value in dressing professionally (business attire) so you will likely find many agents (also such as myself 😂) shooting their social posts on we are in a solid mindset (and not putting out real estate transaction fires and pulling our hair out) and on a business roll 🎉 That's my 2 cents!

You have told me the most I have heard so far about this. Thank you! 🙏🏾
Absolutely agree with real life training. Start to finish a transaction, staging and open house until a new agent is very comfortable on their own.
😂😂❤ I absolutely love this video. Thanks for being so honest
Thanks for sharing this insight! It's always great to hear the real story behind the profession.

This is true. Im a Licensed REB and I tell you I am not sure what Im doing because all I did was take the exam and get my license.
This is why Texas requires 180hrs of accredited learning before you can get your license
If you are a realtor in Texas. What school do you suggest
@@tannercollins2925
AceableAgent
They usually have a 40% off promotion too
@@tannercollins2925Hey , in Texas I suggest Champions School of Real Estate. I passed my exams on the first try because of them! Very knowledgeable.
Still doesn't teach you real life working

Do you have a coach or course you’d recommend for passing the exam?

Would you say most agents who succeed in today’s time is due to their high presence of social media followers?
If you want the world to despise you tell everyone you are a real estate agent
Is this video about RE or your fake rainbow promotion?
Realtors are crooks
"proffession". Being a parasite isn't a proffession
