- It was an amazing day, in all 55 cars turned up and everyone had a great day.
Mk1 Mk2 MK3 and Mk4 cars are all welcome at this meeting.
Thankyou to Michael and Lisa Loveridge for organizing this event and thanks to June and John Blythe for providing the food.

It was a steering wheel of a black Zephyr Six when I laid my hands on for the first time when I was just 10 years old. Of course my father was at controls and I did only the steering.Perfect manoeuvring.. Powerful.. Elegant grill design..

Mum and Dad had a Mk1 Zephyr in the early 70s in New Zealand my brother had a Mk3 Zodiac around 79 beautiful car to drive 🙂
I used to sit on my dads knee and steer his mk2 lowline zodiac when I was about 10 years old his car was two tone white and yellow with blue spot lamps on the front ,I loved that car .
Great stuff. Reminds me of the Mk 2 Zephyr I had in 1973. More filler than car. But fun while it lasted.
My friend’s dad bought a brand new mk1 Zephyr convertible in 1952. We thought it was the BEST CAR IN THE WORLD! Well, you know, we were only eight.
WCO 353 was my Consul375 deluxe in 1990. Maroon white roof. I wonder where it is now, sold to fellow rockabillies in St Austell. I hope its still running.
Wonderful assortment of the 3 Fords but why do so many owners turn them into hot rods.
The cars I liked most are the unmolested ones.

I had a mk2 consul 375 de, luxe 658 ntg, bought it in 1977 for £ 100, beautiful car, i stupidly sold it, i often wonder if its still alive some where?
How i miss my mk 3 zodiac automatic.got it in 1992 when i was 21,kept it right threw to 2013 then stupidly sold it.bne208b,where are you now.mk3 are the ones for me,looked so cool.sounded so good.enjoyed this.
I agree I'm liking mk3s more and more these days.
Zodiac yes, Zephyr 6 possibly, Zephyr 4 definitely no.
I'd stay well clear of the pink and white one whilst unstationary.
I had a 1960 Mk2 Zephyr Ford Australia. It had a good heater and an excellent Astor car radio, about the only good things about it. A rust bucket.
In the early 70's I was working on the road repair team, on the grass verge was a white Mk 1 Zephyr Six with the grass overgrown under it. I wondered if it might be for sale, a workmate suggested to go and ask.
I did, a woman asked if I was interested in it, yes, how much is it? . She goes back in, and a minute later came out with the cars documents and said . "Here, it's yours, -for free, glad to see the back of it".
Later, my dad towed it back home, I put some gas and a battery on it and she started up first go!. All these years later that is the car I would like to own again, but this time, the lovat green colour that wasn't shiny that the dealers loved the best!
The last cars, late 55 and early 56 had separate amber indicator lamps on the rear panel.
Yes my car has them it was first registered in Jan 56, I don't know what month they were first fitted to these cars. They were made by a company called Magnatex and they do pop up on ebay sometimes.
That was a good turn out with some of those cars looking really good , I belong to a club here in New Zealand and some of our cars don't look as good as yours. How is your restoration coming along as I'm quite interested because you look as if it is going to be real good.
Thanks John yes there were some lovely car at that event. My car is going slow now its so hot here in the UK I don't feel like working on it on the afternoon.

Yes but it was well worth it because we could all see the fantastic engineering that's been done to that car.
@@StevesConsul I'm not disputing that he's made a great job of his car it's a known fact it's illegal, but not in the USA it's just a friendly warning there could be heavy fines.
Fords always makes the best cars I think
