Bothered by the lack of gratefulness for aging. Imagine a young 30 yr old mother of 2 little ones looking into the eyes of her husband as they absorb being told she has 4 months to live, yet this woman finds turning 50 “hard”. How do you get to the age of 50, and not have had someone you know, or know of, experience this. Gratefulness cures worldliness. This is truly a sad state, when you are so, for lack of a better phrase, “tone deaf“ that you can say turning 50 is “hard”. Wow. No Dear, a death sentence way before your time is “hard”.

Jane & Tom were by far my favorite morning news show hosts. Used to be glued to both hours.

Meryl Streep is 72 or will soon be 72. Brit actors /actresses seem to fair very well wrt aging and still working and doing what they love. Judy Dench is just as incredible as ever in Belfast.

I always remember a quote from the late actress Joan Blondell in 1975 on “60 Minutes.” She said: “When you crash into your 70’s, you better enjoy what time you have got left”. She passed at 73.

My goal is 95 years old...my parent lived that long. Yes you do get treated differently cause of few wrinkles and grey hair. I think living alone is sad when a lot older but happens a lot to us. But finding a partner is the the way to have shared fun and create those memories. Or travel with more healthy seniors/elderly. I made handout of Graffiti Sayings of the Aged. Anyone got one to add?

95 years old is a wonderful goal, and congratulations and kudos to your parent, but please realize the odds are heavily against you. At best, and I mean at best, a person has only a 10% chance to hit 95. It’s a nice goal, but please be realistic, probably isn’t going to happen. Live your life accordingly. Don’t start thinking about 95 until you hit 94, and only then you can say: “I’ve got a shot.”

Rich people want to live forever, but not so much for the poor: maybe CBS Sunday Morning should do a story on THAT!

I thought it would be about aging gracefully, which I would welcome, but it's about some far-fetched notion of slowing the aging process. I'm disappointed. As I age I would like to have some pearls of wisdom dropped my way.

How come all these aged veterans can still complete a sentence without a Teleprompter, flash cards, earpieces, or doesn’t walk off the set when asked something not rehearsed? ( unlike the current leader of the free world)
