Man I've never really thought about all the various things a kid picks up from a parent like this in relation to me, I made the decision to not have kids (I'm not super old, I'm about 30 years old), but I have plenty of artists my parents showed me - my mom got me into collective soul personally. when I was like 3 their self titled album came out and so it's one of my most nostalgic memories, driving to my grandpa's cabin listening to the self titled on cassette in the mid to late 90s. Where the river flows was my all time favorite song as a kid, but my mom stopped playing the cassette after a while so it kind of got lost in time for a little while until the early 2000s for me because I didn't know where the cassette was and all that. I didn't know how discographies worked or anything so to me the album just *existed* , I didn't stop to think about the fact that s person or group of people *made* the album, so in like 5th grade when I found out it was a group of 4 guys that had other albums my mind was blown and suddenly I discovered hints&allegations and dosage, and then disciplined breakdown and my god. Getting into collective soul is single handedly the reason I started to play guitar, it caused me to branch out in several directions and find other kinds of alternative groups (later on more experimental/avant garde music). It's just cool how we branch out from things our parents show us. It is a little sad to think I won't have a kid to show art to but at the same time I don't have any interest in having kids with the world in it's current state. If I ever changed my mind and ended up wanting a kid I'd just adopt anyways. But it's trippy to see your comment and then notice it's 10 years old. You're 26 now most likely and it's just wild to me how just a comment on an upload for a collective soul song is like a little time capsule, the album on it's own
@Dude Man dudeeeee I forgot all about my comment. Coming back to this 10 years later and seeing your reply is insane!. But the fact that I can relate to everything you just said hits me. Take care brother 🙏 the crazy thing is I started listening to collective soul again this week! Super weird but awesome 👌
I had the pleasure to see these guys in 2007, at the end of my sophomore year in high school, Live opened up for them. Been in love with both bands since then.
Watch my world spin round It stops for you I'll give you heaven for a view I set my sights on high my aim is true I'd walk on water just for you All is all I can give you All is all I can do All is all I wish for when I'm with you Come lay your troubles down Rest here with me My kingdom is all yours to receive Well I'll push the clouds away So you can have sunshine I'll give you anything that your heart desires
game changer in they were singing christian songs.... all about love and change and healing etc. music industry is filled with devils. I am surprised they did as good as they did. there's even a reference to Christ's walk on the water here.
All is all I Got Gina Kay , .. All is what I Had with you.. All is the Love we Had.. All is the pain 💔. , All I want is All of You. All I need Is my baby back... xoxo , VIN
EXTREMELY underrated. I'd love to hear this live.
This sounds good on a cassette. It is pure nostalgia. This album was way ahead of it's time.
Edward Martz agreed!!
Stands on time 4e

I love God so much! I'm crying listening to this.
Had this song in my head so had to hear it. Ah the good ole days
Their best song.
My go to song when I'm feeling low. I love this band.
Love Tony as always
Watch my world spin round
It stops for you
I'll give you heaven for a view
I set my sights on high my aim is true
I'd walk on water just for you
All is all I can give you
All is all I can do
All is all I wish for when I'm with you
Come lay your troubles down
Rest here with me
My kingdom is all yours to receive
Well I'll push the clouds away
So you can have sunshine
I'll give you anything that your heart desires
GREAT SONG!!
2020 anyone? Total blast from the past. Beautiful album. Beautiful memories. I cannot listen to today's crap.
Great song! This album needs to be remastered.
+Lorenzo de' Medici im agree...and the sounds wasnt good enough,,dya remember?
I disagree. This album is already perfect.
This song is the Messiah singing to us,,making His offering to us,,awesome!!
Thanks to your comment I could understand the lyrics.
Thank U So So Much!!!😍😎🤗🙃😇🤓🤸✝️😘
ALL I'VE GOT TO SAY IS WOW!!!!! And the group is so YOUNG!!!!!!
This album was such a game changer in the music industry when it came out. Beatles of the 90s? Could very well be.

I love collective soul but they're far from the Beatles of the 90s... Nirvana would probably take that place
LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks
....the best.......
GREEATT SONG :D

My officemates dont like this song and so I dont like them too.
I tend to be like you haha
Does anyone know how to play this one
@sonofeloah Amen, amen!
2x speed sounds like ska music.
KD2NOA Edward Martz 1.25x is better! The lead has a real 80s feel and the chorus is almost like 60/70s pop or something
JESUS loves you and died for your and on the third day he rose again repent and trust in him
My officemates dont like this song and so I dont like them too.
