Oh my yes, there have been some decent singers in the past 20+ years but, now way they have the magnitude these singers had,Ruth Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Baby Washington etc.

This really was the heyday of the "torch song"! I love Ruth's delivery! What a belter! Her style is very similar to Sarah Vaughan in this number. Do you think one may have been imitating the other?
