I adore this song. My mom had it on a CD when I was kid and I listened to it over and over. I copied it but never knew who sang it or its real name. I love it! Truly adore.
They sure did. And that's Noble Thin Man Watts on that soulful tenor solo. Paul Hucklebuck Williams on the baritone. These people were the backbone of the music business during the golden era. The musicians made it possible for the singers to be stars.
i love her voice.so she was the first one 2 have that hairstyle which was a fashion trend in the 80's especially in the hood by females with the gold door knocker earrings!!!!!
@blacksultan85 My mom used to do this style all the time when I was a little kid in her salon back in the 50s.she would marcel iron you so good with that Dixie peach hair dressing it would last at least a full two weeks if not more.
Ok, I know many of you will probably take this out of proportion. This wouldn't be RUclips, if you didn't but who cares? Shameless self-promotion here. Don't NOBODY have sass like us Black women!!!!!!! :-)
Those were the golden days of pop music when the bands were made up of mainly experienced jazz musicians who could read music. Later things started to go downhill.
Amen. You check out many vocal groups of the 40s and 50s doing concerts in the 80s and 90s and it sounds awful. Not so much the groups themselves but the bands backing them, usually made up of rockers who know little in comparison to the world class Jazz musicians they used to be backed by.
you sound like a little girl. you sent me a comment on "relaxin" by miles davis but unfortunately it was removed by ASIO. it read "sign the form figbat". i believe you are right. i think i will sign the form. the "I am the coolest person on the planet" form. thanks for the advice jimbo.
