You keep saying that you need to make a sale at a price LOWER than YOUR PRICE - But isn't that backwards? Amazon clearly states in their pop-up that the strikethrough only appears if there has been a sale within 90 days AT OR ABOVE the LIST price.
The way I interpret it, its working for you here because you're selling some units at $23.99 and then lowering it to $21.99..... Not because you're selling some units with a coupon at $14.

You are right. In order for this strategy to work do a "soft listing" whereby have your friends and family buy a few units at the HIGHER price then wait a day or two after they made their purchases and then lower your price to what you want the general public to buy at.

This is so helpful! I watched several old videos and none of them works, it is good that Amazon tried to help customer to understand the fair MSRP more, but it is very very annoying as sellers because Amazon does not provide any good documentation around this.

For some reason this didn't work for me, I tried twice. IF you have a new listing does this still work? I'm ranking already

Probably won't work for a new listing. Guessing not enough data to establish an anchor price
