How did you get this in HD?
Is there a way you can make timestamps appear on the timebar like newer videos do? Ty.
Thanks mate !!!!

Opeth's best lineup
without a doubt, 100%!
His Spanish decent, his culture, bleeds out into his playing.
Lopez’s groove and swing just couldn’t be replaced.
Love “The Martins” era!🤘🏻
Saludos cordiales.
Nah, the last one before Axe's departure. Axe is amazing, Fredrik is amazing, Joakim is amazing. Peter was meh, I really liked Lopez but Axe is a beast.
Still amazing in 2024! Opeth were at the top of their game here. Especially deliverance.
I can hear myself screaming at 9:36. This was the gig of a lifetime and I was their guest backstage before and after the gig. Such nice guys!
Fuck yeah that's awesome dude
If you're Raafats friend he told us years ago that you sent him this DVD , and this is the reason I still play guitar today .Thanks dude.\M/
Sure it was you buddy 😂😂
@@stormcorrosion176 I'm saying "fuck yeah" Still got the backstage photos, still have their manager's phone number. Even bumped into Steven Wilson backstage but didn't recognize him. Believe what you will buddy.
Can you believe Netflix had this for streaming like 12 years ago? Shout out Netflix for getting me into Opeth. Legends.
Seriously? Damn
@@AnwayPramanikMoEngageI suspect it varies depending on which country one is accessing *Netflix* from...
No way what?!
Yep..you could get the disk too
Masterful legendary performance that I always return to even 20 years later.
The best show Ever! Thank You Mikael and Opeth!
Opeth es la música que una parte de mi hacía tiempo me venía reclamando y no lograba satisfacerla con ninguna otra banda.
Ahora intenta Katatonia, Soen y Anathema
ehm... y King Crimson?
Me too. Cardiacs are my other gods of music.
wow, very nice quality. :)
& yes I saw this show in Charlotte NC
Can't believe this is almost 20 years ago. Sheesh.
I remember this being on early Netflix instant and I forced all my friends to fucking watch it.
Tiene mejor calidad que el DVD original!
Muchas gracias.
Yup
Opeth at the royal albert hall please🤘🏻
I Agree!

@@re-masterpieces1403 THANK YOU!!!
OMG.....cheers!
My fav recorded concert , sound engineer is a fuckin god
I was only 13 when this was recorded. I really missed out on their prime.
we need now the roundhouse tapes dvd please bro
and the royal albert hall
amazing thanks for share !!!!!
Huge fan of @Mikael Åkerfeldt.......#Damnation just love ❤️ whole tracks.( Steven Wilson + mikael=epic composition)
1:54:50 sexiest guitar solo all time. made love to that whole audience
holy... that version of The lepper Affinity is Legendary!!!!
Uwielbiam!!!
As others have stated, fuckin Martin Lopez is such a beast. Just go back and listen to the Deliverance album. That is like a clinic on badass drumming. As for Axe (no longer in Opeth at this writing), he is good in the Roundhouse Tapes, but I always liked him better in Bloodbath TBH. As much as I love Opeth, I love Bloodbath better, circa 2000-2011 \m/ \m/
Never heard of them will check them out in appreciation of Axe.
I like to think 65 year old me found a time machine and it's in the audience.
they could have played more songs during the second set🤔 like 3 or4 from 90's albums...
Licensing issue at the time I believe
Resolver problema y cross
The world is blessed to have an opportunity to hear such beautiful music played perfectly live. And it's free to watch. The sad thing is that only a fraction of humanity will ever hear this, and an even smaller fraction will truly appreciate what a gift it is.
Thx Opeth, Thx Mike, it's so beautiful and great to have such a band, I think now, after all this years that this is the best band ever (I except Queen which is the band that's I have listened all my life)
No band I love more than Opeth
You nailed it. Not only is it an exceptional example of truly creative musicians (mixing various styles of music, even in a single song), but their raw talent in playing technically-difficult music truly flawless (all of the performances sound identical to the album) is incredibly impressive.
luckily amazing art needs to convince no one
can you get more corny?
Damnation seems to be made by a sad angel. Very beautiful. Masterpiece!
Steven Wilson is the answer
Steven Wilson didn’t write Damnation.
@@Count_Grishnackhhe produced it
@@oskarhultenlycke2543 you can't produce quality out of trash.
Lopez was absolutely mesmerizing. Not to take anything at all away from Axenrot or Vayrynen. But Lopez's style was just perfect for the group.
💯 50:16
Yup!
Yes, one hundred percent. Martin Lopez’s attitude and creative force is unmatched to this day. Have you heard him in his current band Soen? He seems to be comfortable there but no where near as bright energetic and creative as he was with Opeth, seems like Mikael pushed him to amazing creative limits Lopez had in him, really created amazing drumming masterpieces. Currently sad to say he’s performing almost easy basic drumming for Soen. Sad his mental health was suffering and couldn’t continue with Opeth :( Axe was also amazing, still super upset he left.
Holy shitt, this version of Closure is fucking insane!!!!
Amazing!!!
Lopez
@@darrenbooker8144 29:00 Lopez, wow fuking gooves 💪💪
Lopez' Snare sounds FUCKING awesome!!
I agree!
Man, the fills from Lopez on in my time of need... His entire playing on the album is insane
I'm loving the pronounced lines from Mendez, too
Remember this gig clearly, must have been about 21 years old at the time (almost 40 now). Remember how awkwardly hilarious it was seeing a bunch of Metalheads in Morbid Angel/Deicide shirts standing around waiting for the extreme metal part of the set to start. I jokingly tried to start a moshpit during the soft set, which lasted about 6 seconds.
I was there too, great gig :)
I'm quite new to Opeth, with no nostalgia-bias., but there's something really special about this lineup. Something unquantifiable about these five individuals playing together. Such a great mix too. A truly CLASSIC live recording which I just keep coming back to. Thank you, internet!
I was 18 when this DVD came up and we were blown away. I can't remember how many times i have watched it with friends. A gem from the times when Opeth was Opeth. Have a great day!
It’s very quantifiable. You like this era of music. The only thing stagnant about this band the most important aspect is mikael. Everything else is just window dressing.
I lived in downtown Chicago right near the House of Blues in my late 20's and every so often I'd get stoned and just go down and watch whatever live music they had. I remember seeing Opeth not long after Blackwater Park had been released. Opening for Sepultura I think. Totally blew me away. I don't remember Sepultura but I remember Opeth.
There is Opeth, and there are other bands...
And, only the fool cant see genious
Cardiacs is another band on this level.
There is THIS Opeth, and there are other bands lol
There is gojira
There is Opeth, there is Katatonia…and there is other bands
so sad that they couldn't include the Demon Of The Fall encore on the release, otherwise, this live album is fucking fantastic and the drum sound is one of the best i've ever heard in a metal/live album!
A rights issue I think but yeah it would have been the perfect ending to the DVD.
Happy to say I was there and witnessed the Demon of the Fall encore. Also had a nice chat with Martin Lopez during breaks when they were soundchecking. It was a very sunny day in Shepherd's Bush.
Totally agree about the drum sound.
Damnation has to be the peak in Lopez's drumming. Exquisite.
I'd like to find the muppet that screams at 34:33 and have an unfriendly conversation with it.
Crack some skulls…. Peacefully… and gentle…. Oh well… these things happen.
I know right. All of the live DVD's for Opeth have some fucking idiot, or idiots yelling stupid shit. Need to be silenced. I saw Opeth only once in concert (with Katatonia, but no Bloodbath that night) and no idiots in the crowd yelling dumb shit and I was grateful.
It's hard to believe that dvd was released 20 years ago...
Ooof.
Daaamn, this shot at 1:06:32 when López mute the crash, with Méndez on the front... it`s just amazing, great moment and energy. Latinoamericanos power!
The fact that the groove department is handled by a couple of latinos in this era is what made their music work so well!
That following segment of the song is the best swing-funk-nasty Opeth. It’s so good.
Mike es un dios de la guitarra. Y su voz, hermosísima...
Love this! Great era of Opeth! If only people knew what legit well written music was instead of this Swifty bullshit that's on the radio. God bless Prog!
absolutely perfect musicianship. this is MY GO TO LIve album!!! OPETH R THE GREATEST band to ever exist!!!! i fucking love and adore this band
I can't think of a modern metal band that are as wide dynamically,...and have such a soft touch, while still able to crush and shred.....they are setting the bar in my opinion....I love this era of opeth and also the modern era with Shredrik Akesson...both captivating
w/o Per's fantastic keyboard layering, this recording would not be the same. Of course not, but not as good as the current:)))
Man Lopez fit in this band so much!🤘
so fucking badass after the amazing damnation set the the masters apprentices comes in sounding so brutal! freaking killer, its like having one huge buildup to to it then just explosion of heaviness
I saw this for the first time back when it came out and was not really into the band but knew of them. Completely blew my mind. Ever since then, Opeth have lived inside of my head ever since.
¡Qué banda por favor! Lo que hacen es superlativo...
Mr. Martin Lopez!!!!
"This is what we really sound like"... Not anymore sadly
And so to the invisible man...Per Wiberg! I salute you.
This version of In my time of need sounds a lot better than the studio version.
There never has been and never will be any band like Opeth of that era
Recorded and Mixed by Andy Sneap. Bravo man
Oh the Sabbat guy, he used to drink in my local. 😊
That was a long time ago. 🙂
I was endlessly listening to this as an undergraduate in Northern Greece, on a DVD, right after it came out. Opeth's best and brightest lineup in my books. A fantastic DVD as it had the Deliverance/Damnation studio recording too as a documentary. And here, tonight, 20 years later listening to it somewhere in Ireland. I got old, but this is, and will remain, timeless. Thank you for uploading it!
2:43
Damnation is a perfect album. Live performance is fantastic. The audience talking through Weakness needed a slap across the noodle.
This was my favorite Opeth era. Their metal is uniquely amazing, but this is a timeless classic.
Joder 🖤 está en alta resolución la música y el video, una delicia de concierto, uno de los mejores de Opeth sin duda
Exacto! 🤘🏼
THIS is the lineup I fell in love with.
This sounds so perfect.
The drumming is has no peer.
I miss Martin's drumming.
When I was 12 I used to have a paper route and listen to Ghost Reveries and Damnation on a Sony discman for hours on end completely lost and enthralled in the music.. 31 now. Blessed to experience life at the same time as this beautiful band.
The instrumental parts of Damnation, and all of Opeth’s cleaner instrumental sections for that matter, have always reminded me of certain levels of StarCraft when playing as the Terran.
Theres nothing close to damnation that i know of. One of the greatest albums imo.
Lopez was the greatest drummer they had, sucks he left, soen is pretty good though
Yeah Soen is good, but it doesn’t bring out the attitude and creativity from Lopez like Opeth did! Lopez has amazing limits only Mikael seems like was able to access… all his contributions to Opeth are freaking masterpieces!!!!!
Really wish they could’ve played some songs from MAYH and Still Life.
Thank you very much for this remastered release! I cannot even say how much I like this!
This is the most relaxing thing I ever heard. Great dreams with headphones.
Amazing performance, the intro is Popol Vuh's 'Mantra 2' from their Soundtrack for Werner Herzog's Nosferatu...
THIS was Opeth right here! Best lineup and always will be!
Great performance, great lineup.
The best music hooman can create.
Amazing concert!!!!!! Opeth is the most special band from the planet, joining two universes!!!!!!
The drumming in, in my time of need, is simply majestic
I played my copy so much 20 years ago it was literally "destroyed".... love this gig and i know every second of it by heart
Deliverance outro is and always will be one of the most crazy good outro ever. WIth Remembrance (Gojira), one of my fav. Daaamn this "classic" Opeth formation.
Yeesss don't hear people talking about remembrance too often, very underrated track
The only DVD I still own.
This performance has only aged like fine wine!
Просто потрясающе.мне 57 и это смотрится и воспринимается также великолепно как и 20 лет назад!!!лучшие
That snare sound is godly 😍, and what lightning in a bottle this gig is with the OG's❤❤❤
Yesss, wow I thought I'd be the only one, it's so dynamically tuneful, most bands would kill for a snare sound like this live, or even in the studio.
The side drum sound is pretty solid too. 🙂
Lopez, Méndez and Akerfelt created absolute masterpieces. The missing piece in today’s puzzle is Lopez. Sad to say. Opeth is still an amazing band Mikael is a musical and lyrical prodigy I can’t get my head around. Thank you for this amazing recording!
Crazy how recognisable Lopez's snare sound is from this period.
desearía haber nacido 38 años atrás para presenciarlo en vivo, a la edad que tengo hoy
if you watch closely you can almost see martin mendez's face once
I remember being but a young man and i found this on Netflix. Quickly became my favorite band. Still enjoy returning to this. Thanks for the upload!
Also happy birthday to whom it may apply.
Mikael is writing music for a Netflix show
Genios, simplemente.
Mi amooor ❤.
The fuck up at 1:15:53 sounds like a chicken and makes me laugh every time.
Is that even a fuck up? Sounds good to me xD
I love Opeth so much, one of the best albums I ever listened, in my life.
21 anni di quel concerto!!! Beato chi c'era!!
Almost 20 years ago..we've come so far..
Did the editors have a pact to omit the bassist Martin Mendez from the band?
RIP Mendez’s hair
One of the best live music moments captured in my lifetime.
This is clearly the OG lineup
One of my all-time favorite musical performances.
in my top 3 for sure
This is the first thing I listen to with my new (and fancy) headphones. Couldn't have possibly picked anything better!

OMG This is amazing i've searched this concert in internet a lot of time but i never seen this before, thank u so much for the upload
I hope that one day Opeth do other DVD love concert for In cauda Venenum!
Amazing! Cheers. Better than my dvd :)
Este momento en la historia de la humanidad con la mejor alineación de Opeth es invaluable!
