it breaks my heart to see our companion animals so frightened of us. and, she was such a good baby in her bubbly bath! still loving those bubbles! thank you hope for paws.

Such a good nature. Absolutely terrified but didn't show any fear aggression, let alone actually bite.
Depends on the animal. You have to be gentle, calming, and caring to gain their trust. Some take a little longer as they might be broken as they say. Some know right away that you are there to help them and won't put up a fight. Every situation with a cat or dog is different. You never know how it's going to go.
These girls are very lucky, they shouldn't be petting in this situation.

Petting is one way dogs get the feeling of safety.

Some say you shouldn't feed a dog certain food that human consume. It could lead to mild or serious issues. Pancreatitis is one of the serious conditions that could develop. Some food we eat are too processed for them. Yes, before the invention of dog food, they were fed table scraps. On the farm, my dog was fed table scarps. But you should know what not to feed a dog. That's important. Stuff that humans shouldn't eat, dogs definitely shouldn't.

Zachary my schi tzu , loves burgers, once a week we go to Sonic, and he gets a plain cheese burger, and will eat some fries, only after he’s eaten his burger first!
He’s 8 yrs old, very healthy! And my other schi tzu lived til he was 16!
He ate burgers too!
They also ate ice cream!
They eat a good quality dog food and I mix in home made food.
Cheeseburgers are alright for my little fur balls! And never had health issues from it!!!
I make food using roasted chicken
Lean beef and pork tenderloin. No seasonings. And add cooked carrots, potatoes, green beans. Put it in containers add no salt broth and freeze it
At least I know what their eating,
So yes, dogs can eat people food!

Yeah, I had two dogs, and I think they both would have mutinied, if they weren’t allowed people food; one of them was a Jack Russell cross, and the other was a pure bread Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and both dogs were healthy, and lived until the ripe old age of 18.
If they hadn’t been allowed people food, they’d have been putting ME up for adoption haha.

My dogs always have treats, left over meat, carrots, green Beans, and apples.
They eat a quality dog food, and I make toppers, with meat and veggies .
I’ve had 2 labs, lived til they were 15 and 16 yrs old. Then my first schi tzu was almost 17 when he died.
Now I have Zachary , another schi tzu
He’s 8,. So I don’t think people food hurts dogs. Donot give him, fried foods, bbq ribs, or bacon 😄
But my dogs like ice cream at nite😀
And Zachary , once a week, I day to him , “ready to go for cheeseburger?
He’s a the door, lives SonicBurgers🤗.

It is heart wrenching to see her eyes so fearful in the beginning, so afraid that cheeseburger magic didn’t work. A loving bath and a welcoming foster home complete with a doggo friend was the magic she needed. A forever family is waiting in the wings for this beautiful girl.💕

I LOVE the calm and patient way she was rescued. She was and is still a nervous dog. She must have had a history of distrusting humans, perhaps from abuse or abandonment.
No hate, but I don't think we watched the same rescue. Eldad is calm and patient. These girls, walking behind a terrified dog and scaring the living daylights out of it without building any connection? He's done what he had to in dangerous circumstances like roads. There was no danger like that here. Just block off the shed and truly be patient to prevent that distrust from the start, no eye contact when throwing the cheeseburger... calm and patient are not words I'd use to describe this rescue, especially when the poor thing was defacating out of fear when said fear was mostly preventable.

I felt so nervous for the dog, trying to pet, etc. They go way too fast.
@@Undomaranel How many dogs have you rescued? Prevented them from getting run over by cars or starving to death?
Sometimes there is just no time to be patient. Sometimes they have to be fast and maybe even a bit rough. And what is a couple of minutes of being afraid? The dog is save now and experiences love and people that care about her.
She was so scared that she was shaking 😢. I'm so glad you got her to safety, and that she looks well❤

Seeing just how beautiful Mimi is, it's hard to understand why black dogs are often overlooked in shelters - among the least likely, along with seniors and special needs dogs, to get adopted. Tell me this precious girl is anything but totally gorgeous!

Mimi looks very much like Remy, a friend's pup he couldn't take care of anymore (rehab), and knowing my Ma's heart he stopped by... and she took her in, knowing HIS heart. What a blessing she was towards our old, deaf, going blind smelly old boy! We called her BatGirl because of her ears... Best wishes, Mimi.

Your videos are the favorite of my little girl (2 years old). Whenever we sit down to rest/relax she wants to watch her “puppies”. Nothing else. We try to teach compassion for animals at an early age with all of our kids, and being able to share your rescues is a great start! It never ceases to amaze me the utter transformation your organization/partners are able to give to these animals who were once abandoned, mistreated, over looked or even condemned! She was terrified but seemed at the same time to know you weren't going to hurt her. The whole experience was strange to her and she slowly began to adjust to the newness. She will be fine, I think, she will settle down and be part of a family.
