Why did I think this tune would be relaxing? Tune of the Day is “Planxty Joe Burke” by Charlie Lennon, a great Irish fiddler and composer who just passed away recently. It’s a fun tune on the mandolin and I first heard it from Irish tenor banjo player Kevin Griffin from Doolin, County Clare. Watch out, this one is a tough finger buster!
