I love how the "fat" goal keeper turned and clapped the fans at the end of the game and got a round of applause in response the fact that he took it all in good humour was obviously respected.

@@ipkaayou need to be British born to understand the true difference between banter and bullying

The football/soccer fans over here can be exceptionally brutal. But then if you are going to break laws & try to get away with it cause you're a celeb, the fans will tear you to pieces.

A lot of these ("we lose every week", "he's got a plant pot on his head") come about because most people just support their local team. If your team is shit, you have a lot of time to kill and a wicked gallows humour!

Football fans in England can be brutal with some of the chants, especially if someone has done something stupid in their personal life. They'll get pelters for the entire 90 mins sometimes.
Part of the enjoyment for supporters is this atmosphere at games, especially when the home fans and aways fans go back at forth at each other. Some of the chants are genius and hilarious. You'll even catch the players laughing sometimes.
It's fully expected from everyone and part of the unique football culture in England.

Thanks bro! Great video and reaction! Lets say there are some "cultural" differences between the US and other traditional football countries😍😍. There are loads of more videos like this and not only football. Basketball fans are also totally crazy etc. Take any internationally played sport and you will notice the difference. How can you win a "world series" or "world championship" in sports that are not played in anywhere else😁😁😍😍.

League One Tour looked like it confused you which is no surprise as what it refers to doesn't exist in US sports. In much of the world, at least in football and definitely in Europe, if a team plays badly enough through the season they are "relegated" (forced to play the next season at a lower tier of the sport) and if they play well enough they are "promoted" (get to play at the next higher level). So you had fans of a championship (tier 2 of English footy) team who played badly refusing to get beaten down by a shit season that saw them "going down" (to league 1 - tier 3) because they claim the season after they'd be "straight back up" (promoted back to championship). Honestly, until you've felt the joy of promotion and the pain of relegation it's... not the same. ;)

UK football fans are banned from precisely zero grounds in Europe. English football teams were banned from playing in Europe for five years in the 1980s (Liverpool six) after the Heysel stadium tragedy. Also when Liverpool went to play Napoli just a few weeks ago, fans were advised not to wear their colours due to the risk involved, proving there are A-holes everywhere.
