normally when seating second hand over the top, taught to do thumb in (and then if you were to do second hand under, you would do a second 4 fingers in grip). you do a second 4 fingers in grip over the top. ive always been taught this is wrong - obviously gunna take your word over joe blow black belt. but could you shed any light on topic?

Yes it appears wrong, notice I only do that variation when I’m doing it from top - from bottom it’s the other way around.
