I bought a LAB Mezz 1 in August, I have reduced my putts per round average by 4 since I bought it. I absolutely enjoy this club.

THANK YOU for mentioning the difference here (face up vs 0 torque). These are completely different putters but marketing and advertising from these companies makes it hard to consumers to understand that. Traditional putters will have toe hang, face balance, etc orientations to represent the torque acting on the putter. Those face positions are where the putter "wants" to get to naturally, and any deviation from that position during your swing will cause the putter to "torque" back towards its natural position during the putting stroke.
All of these new "zero torque" putters that have a toe-up orientation are no different than traditional putters, they are just adding a new option to the face of the putter wants to close to applying a different type of torque to the putter which may fit some golfers swings better.
LAB is the only one that's actually 0 torque, meaning there is no orientation that the putter face "wants" to get back to. Its not going to fight your stroke at all, wherever you manipulate the face it will go there. For most golfers, this helps with their putting since it creates less rotation of the putter face and therefore is easier to square it up at impact. For some golfers though, if they have a lot of natural face rotation due to their putting stroke, they need the putter to help them close the face and get it back to square, and that's where they will fit into one of the torque profiles better.

I have one of the older odyssey solutions of this - the backstryke, and it does a lot of what the new ones do. M main issue with the LAB every time I have tried them is that they have so little feel/feedback that I have an issue with distance control even though the stroke/face/etc is easy to keep square. I find the odyssey options have a bit more feedback and make that distance control/feedback/feel easier to keep putts close.
That said, I ditched the backstryke for a more traditional face balanced putter (Cobra Vintage Nova with the SIK face) because it still is pretty easy to keep the face square and has infinitely more feedback for me at least. My distance control is far better and I can get more dialed in, whereas the Backstryke/Lab I can putt for an hour and each time I feel it's just a guess as to how hard to hit it to get my distance I need.
I'm curious to try the new odyssey options and hope they bring back some more feel and that may be the best of all for me at least.

I'm a mech engineer. Not so good in physics but I have a ground. I choosed a center shaft to limit the gear effect. I think that lab is in the wrong way because when you hit off center there is no help to keep the face square. The s2s have that help. I have actually a ping centred shift with the top face balance. I'll try s2s definitely.

The difference in feel is the difference in the way you two are used to setting up. The Mezz lie angle is set up for your preference which to be significantly more upright than the square to square putter. I would venture to guess that that Mezz is 74 degrees or up which is why the odyssey feels like you need to aim right. You can see that when he uses your Mezz the toe is up off the ground when he strokes it and no longer balanced.

I picked up a S2S #7 on release day, went out the next day and loved it. Tested it on par 3 course. Minimal practice on practice green and was insanely impressed. Im a 20 handicap and 1 putted the first 10 holes ranging from 3ft to 16ish ft. I could not believe the confidence it gave me. Maybe I was hot to start and just putted beyond my means but wow. I had no 3 putts in a round for the first time ever. I stand by it and on the plus side it was less then $300 after cash back. Absolutely love it. Definitely recommend.

I don’t think anyone is going to beat the Oz.1i that just released…. The customization they bring and the design being closer to normal old school shape, a lot of people will love the feel of the insert as well.

Yea by the time you are done fitting into your custom specs the putter costs 700$ and now they see people want a SS insert, they are probably gonna add the insert to their whole lineup. Just like every other brand they will come out with something "new" every year

Lie angle is not set for him on the LAB putter he needs 1 to 2 degrees less. Not sure what lie this club is set but 69 to 70 is probably where he is at. The club is not flat and is at an angle when he is in position as if he is hitting at slightly of square face.

got this... like it better than the evnroll option zero. however i still hate the auto shaft lean. luckily the lab oz putter has option to order a no shaft lean option....

I've tried the square style, straight back and thru putters. If you hit the middle of the face, your putting won't improve with a LAB style putter. If you have inconsistent strikes using traditional arc putters, the LAB style will make your stroke more consistent. For better putters though, there is no need to switch. It won't improve your scores. Its akin to game improvement irons and variable face technology in drivers.

LAB has molded their brand as a status symbol, to create the persona of the "Rich Guy". Oz.1 looks nice ( first in their line that isn't hideous!) but, their base model is almost double the cost and fully tricked out (properly fitted with a shaft upgrade) is TRIPLE the cost of the #7...I think myself and 90% of other peasants will be making the latter choice.

@ could you ask AJ if it is the Arccos sensor that screws into the counterbalance grip or did he have get the Arccos superstroke putter grip accessory.
Would appreciate very much - cannot get info from LAB / Arccos or online forums.

Good video but you triggered me by saying "right?" constantly. I'm sure It's a me issue but if I made a drinking game I would be lying on the ground by the end.
