Since lazy didn't fully talk about them, i figured i'd mention that demoknight has a lot of weapons. The Eyelander, The Nessie's Nine Iron (a golf club), and the Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker (a glowing purple axe) are all the same weapon in terms of function: collects heads. The Ali Baba's Wee Booties and the Bootlegger are both shoe-type weapons that take the grenade launchers place when equipped. one resembles arabian shoes, the other is a pirate boot and a pegleg. Both of these increase demoman's max HP by 25, gives better turning speed when charging, and makes melee kills refill 25% of the charge meter. Demo has 3 shields: The Chargin' Targe. The Splendid Screen, and the Tide Turner. they all give you the ability to charge via right click, but the first two only allows you to charge forward, the tide turner gives you full turning speed. the trade off is the other shields give you better passive resistances to different damage types, like Fire damage. All shields take the sticky bomb launcher's place. The Pain Train is a board with a nail in it, its a melee weapon that allows demo to have a doubled capture rate for the objective (like scout.), but makes demo 10% more vulnerable to bullets. The Ullapool Caber is a stick grenade that is used as a melee weapon, when you strike with it, it will blow up the enemy, as well as yourself. it can only blow up once before you need to return to the spawn to get another one. The Claidheamh Mor (Claymore) is a fancy sword that increases how long you charge, but makes you slightly more vulnerable to damage. The Persian Persuader is a scimitar that allows you to take ammo packs to recharge your charge meter, when you attack something, you will also gain more charge back. But it makes it so that your main weapons (if you use them.) have less max ammo. The Scotsman's Skullcutter is a medieval battle axe that deals 20% more damage, but not only holsters and deploys slowly, but gives you a -15% speed downgrade when you hold it. And finally, the Half-Zatoichi, a katana that the soldier ALSO can use. Whenever you kill someone with the Half-Zatoichi, you get healed 50% of your HP. Once you draw the weapon, you cannot put it away unless you kill at least one enemy with it. if you attempt to put it away without getting a kill, you take damage. Also, If you attack another half-zatoichi player, its a one hit kill, even if they are a soldier who is using it. But be warned, other half-zatoichi players can one-shot you as well provided you have it equipped.
You forgot to mention that while the Targe and Splendid Screen both give you full crits near the end of the charge, the Tide Turner only ever gives mini-crits.
No, the Scottish Resistance doesn't have less damage. that's on the Quickie. The thing about the Scottish Resistance is that it has a long arm time to detonate.
These "How To Play" vids are classic :). Glad you enjoy them as much as us in the TF2 community do. EDIT: Demoknight might be faster, but that stickman with a shotgun is cuter :D. But i'm biased *cough*
Just fwi, in TF2, a mini crit is a 33% increase in damage and a full crit is a 300% increase as well as negating damage falloff. A single stock crit rocket or pipe can kill a heavy with a single shot. While random, you increase your odds by dealing more damage (crit damage doesn’t boost the chance of the next crit thank god) and… healing. Medic’s melee attacks have an obscene chance to crit since their healing counts towards crit chance.
I would just like to remind everyone that what LazyPurple uses isn't going to work for everyone. Everyone has their own playstyle, and his opinion is not the word of law. For example, some people love the Loch'n'Load and the *Scottish music intensifies* SCOTTISH RESISTANCE and can use them as aggressively has Demoman drinks liquor.
About the scottish resistance, the downsides is that you have to look at the bombs to detonate them which isnt always ideal, and most of all a much longer arm time making the weapon completely unfit for anything thay isnt setting traps
29:00 That's not quite correct: What happens is that the game detonates stickies 1 at a time(even if you det multiple), because Lazy had lower HP here, he dies to his own stickies midway through them all det'ing. And because stickies auto-fizzle when their owning Demo dies, the un-det'ed stickies fizzle instead of det'ing.
Now that you are done with how it feels to play, I have a couple suggestions for tf2 videos. "Heavy is Dead" I've mentioned this one a few times, all time favorite TF2 animation (Though keep in mind it's quite short). "OVERWATCH vs TF2, but explained with food" by DougDoug (His content is great, though it's mostly stream highlights, with this video being an exception). And the Team Neighborhood series by Greatdictator (and other people but the channel it's on is Greatdictator), this is a fanmade sitcom with the tf2 mercs and it's great (Especially episode 3). These videos are great, and I really hope you end up watching them. (Yes this is a copy paste of my last comment)
37:28 While I understand Lazy likes stick spamming, it just feels brainless to me, the Scottish Resistance is my favorite because it makes you think of where to put your stickies. I've always been under the impression that since Demoman is a Defense class he should be a bit more vulnerable to more aggressive classes + 25% faster firing +50% max secondary ammo on wearer + Can have up to 14 stickies out at once + can manually fire upon laying crosshair on each sticky - .8 second longer arm time All of these upsides for a longer arm time, Brain over Spam Also please react to Fawful's Minion, his wordplay is great
It was only 2 pixel larger . and Even without (Nobody used IB for the "larger" projectile simply because until very recently ,we didn't even knew it existed) that ,it's still a direct upgrade from Stock . Sidegrade from the 2 buff Sort of a buff for the -15% explosion radius (Because Stock explosion look way smaller than the hitbox ,when you hit thing ,you surprise yourself thinking 'Why did I take damage here ? I wasn't even in range of the explosion graphically" while IB give it the correct hitbox for the explosion that you see . You know that if you take damage from a certain range ,it's your fault ,because you know how the explosion look and that the hitbox look the same ,while the Stock can get you surprised because the hitbox is way bigger than what the explosion look like . Direct upgrade come from Design and Sound of the IB ,which are of course way better because of these 2 thing Edit :Most people that take the IB take it for Design/Sound ,and also because it does not roll

You could see Solarlight's demoknight gameplay to see how the physics in-game can be exploited
Demoknight tf2
Edit: btw if you like demoknight clips. Solarlight is your man.
This went from a reacting vid, to a casually watching vid

Takes longer to arm, before you can detonate. Same damage.
But you can have 14 stickies out at once rather than 8.

Sniper specifically because sometimes when you see a demoknight as a sniper.
They're usually IN FRONT OF YOU before you die.

The music for the Scottish Resistance is actually really good.
There is one more lazypurple video left The Feature-Length TF2 Clip-Dump! Its a real fun video to watch so you should give it a shot I think.
27:22 god damn I just got that moment on a ubered crit phlog pyro kill everyone all thx to my demoman use stickybomb to knock the pyro lmao

The Iron Bomber projectile hitbox was fixed recently to be the same as the rest and not anymore 8x larger

Why is the how it feels to play demoman age restricted???
It got flagged by youtube for some reason. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You should watch bad weapon academy
I think you’d enjoy SoundSmith’s Weapon and Hat Stereotypes
Please react to Swipez! He is an awesome TF2 spy. You'll love him and his videos!
Sadly there is no How it feels to play Medic from Lazy Purple.

Well, im satisfied now, you can move on to other games, bye, i hope you enjoyed team fortress!
