The review felt a little unfair as the Förnuftig is intended for smaller rooms, so it carried way above its weight in this review competing with the Xiaomi, but oddly enough it performed surprisingly well. My take on the Förnuftig is I just purchased two, which is still cheaper than the high tier air purifiers on the market, and I put them in my two room apartment, one with the gas filter in the kitchen to help with bad smells, and one with just the HEPA-filter in my bedroom/office. Both are wall mounted, which is is also a big plus for me with air purifiers.
So the smoke chamber test took ikea 4 times longer… well, it does state that’s it’s made for a 4 times smaller room and so only draws 1/4 of the air volume compared to the Xiaomi. These results are the same factoring in their intended floorsize
@@roytan7344 it does when you consider that the IKEA one is made for a way smaller space than the Xiaomi one. They both work, they’re made for two different scenarios and therefore they have different prices. In the end this was interesting but they are not comparable devices
Anything is "comparable", especially if someone is new to some field and has no point of reference; then comparing different things tells them how they are, indeed, different.
@@roytan7344 it performed 4x slower while being designed for 4x smaller rooms. That’s not underperforming, that’s performing to spec, exactly as advertised. There is no reason to pay 4x the price for the same performance if you have a small room. So yes, it very much matters.
Thanks! Ok, but the Xiaomi's motor works somehow smoother, so even though it is louder at some speeds, it is much more pleasant for hearing than IKEA's. Additionally, it has more speeds, allowing you to choose the one you like the most easily.
Never again Xiaomi, they stopped supplying the market with filters for the H pro model and now I can throw away the whole device. I am sure that IKEA will not do something like that.
Just ordered the 3H after watching your videos and doing some research. I have problems with pollen allergies and hope this can help! Thanks for your videos
@@AirPurifierFirst It arrived today ^^ Seems to be working well. Gave my bedroom a good clean and have the purifier running for 12h. Don't have as much issues with my allergies as previous days. A bit early to give a verdict but so far so good! Very easy to setup as well.
IKEA most products you can exchange (especially if unopened) and most things you can return up to a year. It would probably be partial unless it broke itself.
No, the price is based on the filter size and motor speed. You need a larger filter and motor to accommodate a larger room. You pay for the space to filter, the smart is extra and both have smarts. The Mi box is designed for 5x the room size, at only 4x the price, Though you can use a smaller one and filter the air slower and replace the filter more often (but thats probably more expensive)
No, it doesn't have. I confirmed this by contacting them via email and through their Facebook page. Besides, I bought this IKEA FÖRNUFTIG a got no warranty.

Except the ikea filters are a lot more
Did you forgot that the Xiaomi ist about 3-4 times more expensive then the Ikea and the filters for the Xiaomi are double the price.
It doesn’t matter if u need a air purifier that works. You need something that perform as it design for and not something cheap and under performed.
Totally agree with you, Roy! Thanks for elaborating.

Good review, but I need to do a little correction:
The Xiaomi is almost 4 times louder than the Ikea, because each 3 db means double.
Thanks!

3 dB is a doubling of air pressure but perceived loudness is subjective and an increase of 10 dB is usually perceived as twice as loud.

done buy..good quality !!

I still prefer my air purifier not to be assembled in gulags by slave Uighur prisoners.
Based.

How can one compare 60 quid air purifier to that of 200 quid? 😂😂😂
I’ve done many reviews based on viewers' suggestions.
@@AirPurifierFirst true but this is a mismatch. Higher end IKEA air purifier can compete better.
now all of china knows your air
lol, but for what
xiaomi expensive replacment filter, my device got loud after few months. Also nightmare to connect to app
Ikea have a better model STARKVIND, which has an automatic mode and a connection to Ike Home.
I will test it! Thanks for the suggestion!
@@AirPurifierFirst Looking forward to the review/comparison.
You can connect it to home. Just get a smart plug socket adapter and an smart air quality sensor. Job done.
I can wait an extra 30 seconds for my box of smoke to clear.
Xiaomi vs STARKVIND? :)
Ikea has 2 year warranty in the EU.
I was referring to the US market, but I may not have stated it clearly enough in the video.
The IKEA one is way prettier tho as its from an interior store

The ikea doesn’t use a HEPA filter
But IKEA is better look 😂

IKEA fanboy lives in a very small house. lol.
