Daniel Cloud is indeed a true artist. I still remember how he was the most revolutionary bboy in the world 10 years ago and you can still see his influence in many bboy legends today such as Neguin. I am not a fan of bboy at all but he has that 'it' factor which other b-boys never have. Now, he gave us this performance just to remind us of his 'it' factor.. I have not seen Bboy Cloud or should I say Daniel Cloud (since he is not longer a bboy) for the past several years but fuck am I glad to him perform on stage again.
Yea, Bboy Cloud was a legend during his prime. I have watched many dancers for the last 20 years and all great dancers are similar regardless of their dance style. Their techniques are amazing but they all lack the 'spark' that makes me go "Wow I didn't know people can dance like that." I am not talking about doing impossible moves just for the sake of impressing people. I am talking about dancers who transcend the art of movement itself. Dancers who change your perspective of dancing and make you try out new things. Daniel Cloud is one of those dancers who ooze inspiration.
This is pure poetry.. what a level.. pure artistry.. The sync, the moves, the hat tricks, the dance with the stop sign.. the storytelling is out of this world..
