As an overall statement, I have not experienced anything noticeable using stock cable straight to Mac. I will say when I 1st hooked it up my settings did not line up and had a ms or so of noticeable lag on some plugins but have not since the adjustment. They are pretty good with customer service and at this point so many people have problem solved these issues u should be fine depending on your computer

I remember it updating a few times and yes I think you register, did you buy second hand? I wound up sending mine back as it was defective so kinda a blur of what I did. replacement works great! No problem on the video, I could not find any videos for the controller version when they announced. Also I have only had a few urges to upgrade but I love having my mac next to it for workflow.

I'm glad the video helped out. the main things I noticed right away with the replacement unit was there was some clicking with the dials and the 1st unit did not have (meaning it felt new). Also it connected to my mac right away without the power brick and the 1st unit never did no matter what ableton asked me to do. I would just do some tests after you 1st update the firmware. try all the pads, dials and buttons. I think my unit was a rare case as I only found 1 other person (on reddit) that had the same issue.

Almost 2 weeks since I received the push 3. I have tested just about everything possible with ableton and waiting for the final result. Still no power over usb and there seem to be no other cases of this with the push 3 so far.
Still emailing with Ableton but they are super responsive and very thorough. We have done just about every test including using my wife's computer, multiple power options and cables, resetting the push and live etc. I'll keep posting here and update the description if anything changes.
Enjoyed the trouble shooting. I didn’t care for the rest of the video. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for your insights into the power issue.
Glad it made sense. Appreciate the 2 cents, I have the same reaction to my videos sometimes once they are uploaded and it is too late to shorten.
Did you eperience latency using the audio interface of Push 3 Michael ? What is your latency time ?

patiently awaiting the Push 3 replacement unit.
Did you have any usb power issues with your replacement? I’m waiting to hear back from Ableton and I’m having the same issue as your video

Update for today: able to send a guitar signal into the push and midi at the same time from my jam stick studio midi guitar.
Welp, looks like the push is going back for a replacement.
