  • ENTPs and ENFPs have similar perspectives and may even, at first glance, be identical. Both types enjoy being confided in by their friends and listening and offering advice. ENTPs bring a level of excitement to the interactions they are a part of and enjoy creating an atmosphere of fun. ENFPs don't often enjoy arguing with others, but they enjoy pushing the boundaries, especially if they are feeling bored. True arguments will make the ENFP uncomfortable, while playful debates are quite enjoyable. ENTPs do enjoy debating things, and so they might be a bit obsessed with having the last word. This simply happens because they enjoy being able to debate a topic until someone feels like giving up.

I guarantee that seeing ENFP - ENTP interactions is really exhausting or really entertaining (probabily both). On my class my ENTP and my ENFP friends are best friends between them. You have to be very fast and have in mind a lot of things / references / concepts to connect in order to understand the conversation, especially when both are enneagram type 7. Damn they're REALLY crazy and almost impossible to follow for more than 10 minutes, at least for me as an INFP.

@@joanaborrellsanchez9225 Nah it's just that INFJ/INTJ don't really care about being funny and there is no point so their Ni finds it pointless and meaningless. The real thing to explain is why do they want to be funny in the first place ? Beside, I'm not talking about jokes specifically but being quick witted and have in mind a lot of things / references / concepts and connecting it to understand the conversation.

Troy is ENFP... but Jeff Winger is more ESTJ I think, not ENTP. Although in this clip he displays quick Ne (3rd function for ESTJ). He's very controlling of what the study group does so Te dom. He's definitely an extrovert that's Te-Si but he can access that 3rd Ne... so ESTJ. - intj, who loves this show ♥️ "6 seasons and a movie!" 😄😄😄

@@cheesewizard0466 Yes I know Jeff Winger is cool and ENTPs love him. But I've seen this show a billion times and Jeff Winger taps into Te-Ne.... but he's still ESTJ. And yes, Te controls what people are doing, Fe controls how they're behaving. As a Te I fully admit it.

I think he's Fe dom because he uses people's emotions to get what he wants. In almost every episode, he gives these speeches that boosts morale, but he doesn't seem to care much about being in charge of the study group. People with Te would be very obvious in wanting that control of the study group, but Jeff doesn't act like that (even if he knows he's the leader) and he constantly shows up late to class and finds the easiest classes in order to give the least effort for school, whereas someone with Te is likely to not even have to go back to college in the first place.
Sometimes there would be shots of the study group looking to him for direction, but he doesn't even want to tell them what to do because he doesn’t care. It is heavily implied that he doesn't want to be in charge because his attitude is consistently aloof and apathetic.

@@nightmare4122 thanks... I appreciate the thought you put into this.
In some ways you are correct as tv personalities often are a mosh of 2 or more pseronalities to create a narrative. I do however think Jeff is a Te dom... ESTJ that is in the process of developing his demons (Ne-Fi). I do think that he is controlling in the Te way of "what they should do". He doesn't really police their behaviour like an Fe dom where he's pushing them to act nicer and make emotional connections etc. I think Te doms can provide inspiring speeches as well. It's why they get called commanders etc. To lead an army you must inspire ppl to charge forth with their lives.
I agree with you however that he doesn't want to be in charge because I think he's rejecting those Te-Si saviours. He wants to be an ENTP or ESTP but in every episode he relaxes that need for control boils deep inside. Remember Buddy? He wanted to be so chill around him but his controlling mature took command.
I think my favorite episode from season 3 is the timeline one. He immediately devises a plan and tells everyone what to do (get pizza when your number is up)... in the meantime everyone has to do what he says. Britta can't sing, Shirley can't bake etc. But when he leaves to get the pizza, we see the group enjoying themselves without his control.
Sometimes I think of the group as 1 person split into 7.... with Jeff being the ego that desperately controls all the other parts.
As for Te doms not going back to college. I went back. And I know an ENTJ that flunked out. It can happen to any personality.
