ENFPs are pleasant to be around. They listen and respond respectfully. They are playful and admirable. They are diplomatic, especially when negotiating a truce between people who disagree. The one I know communicates clearly, is a hard worker and generous with what he has materially and affectionately. I feel lucky to know him!

I actually used to think I was an intp, everytime I took the test I got it, but it just didn't FEEL right and I knew I acted unlike that depending on who I'm around. Turns out im just really shy, was probably depressed, and couldn't express myself unless around a select few people, and I coped using thinking instead of feeling
What I love to do is creating story and then making the test as if I was one of the character. One of them was an ENFP singer that became depress and decided to pretend he was dead, abandoned all his friend, move in a new country and change his name and personality. I tried to do the personality test after those events and he became INTP

as an enfp i don't have any extremely close one-on-one friends, and it's been making me feel very lonely. thinking about it now, all the "true" friendships i've ever had have been with one person.
Types with high Ne often do not seem to finish when they start projects, while in actuality they do finish them. The miconception they might even have themselves is that they started them to finish these projects in the concrete, while in actuality the real project was always to extract the abstract patterns. Once the patterns are harvested, the concrete project is now only an empty shell for them, without any meaning left in it and is thus obviously abandoned.

Yes, ENFP's are the cutest things ever. I love the way they are so open and soft that they break through your armour and then have the decency not to abuse that. Also I kind of want to help them. They are these clumsy, unorganised goofballs that I feel I have to help organise in small ways without them knowing e.g. reminding them of things they have to do, secretly organise their school bags, teach them time management etc. And they do tend to wear their hearts on their sleeves and would often get hurt, so I kind of feel the need to protect them from the 'bad' of the world and enjoy hearing them talk about their idealistic plans for humankind. -INTJ

My mom is an ENFP and has been criticized for that but the truth is no one could be as much for as many people and projects as she (they) can. I’m an enfp and I agree on this. A lot of my friends laugh when i talk, most of the times it’s unintentional. I love sharing my thoughts on world issues with my classmates, because although i’ve already have a strong opinion about the issue, i like to know what others think. And about abandoning projects? I love writing and the amount of books i’ve abandoned finishing is alarming 😂
As an ENFP, I absolutely agree that I have a strong set of moral values. I am religious and much more conservative than many of my friends. That being said, while I may not be willing to budge on my Christian perspective of certain topics, I am ALWAYS willing to listen to what the other side has to say. I understand that everyone has different experiences than me, and so while I have a general idea of how the world works, I am willing to hear other people's perspectives, views and ideas. We may disagree on certain issues, but I am one who wants to be friends with others who have different ideas than me.
As a pantheist I would like to agree on this too, I understand others have differing perspectives and we (for the most part) want our neighbours, our brothers and sisters, our friends to succeed. We mustn't not let our biases to cause others harm.

It’s not always rainbows and fun being an enfp but I’m proud of who I am. People around me enjoys my present but I’ve suffered from darkness too (don’t wanna call it depression). Last night was super tough, but today was so much fun. Sometimes people disappoints, other time they’re not. I hate fake, negative, bully and provocative people. I really hope they change for the better. But I always believe deep down they’re kind hearted people who is hurting.. what even am I writing. So yeah.. that’s that lol 😅😂
@Luce M from my experience infjs are quite capable and smart, but often cocky and don't care to improve, which makes them fall behind the enfp who can store up quite a bit of knowledge with that inf Si when maturing, and are interested in basically everything with Ne.
I agree a lot with the laugh at/with/for part. I will often be intentionally dumb or intentionally not understand or do something incorrectly just for the entertainment of others. Also: you know you're not en ENFP if you don't enjoy chaotic environments. As chaos ourselves, we can take center role within and perpetuate it (for fun)! The few classes I've felt popular in are the ones that have been the most chaotic. I also implemented the above point in that class pretty often and it works pretty well

This is such a positive video!! Your saying that starting a lot of projects and only finishing a few of them is part of the "creative process" is a really good reframe of how ENFPs are usually portrayed (i.e., never getting anything done). I'm going to carry that forward in my growth so that I can defuse from this image of myself as a flake and see myself more as engaging in a natural process that I use to move me ahead. Thank you!

INFP Fi Ne Si Te ENFP Ne Fi Te Si Double observer vs double decider is what might be more noticable. I'm ENFP and my single observer makes me constantly take in information but I don't do the best job of organising it. I'd like to have it super well organized but it's kind of a drag to have to organize it all since there's so much and I so easily go into gather concepts, patterns and information mode. Also is it still a thing to say introverts get their energy from being alone and get drained from being around people and vice versa? If they don't get their energy that way introverts at least don't expend it while being alone and extraverts don't while being with people.

I would definitely say that I have difficulty organizing my thoughts and I gather information and connect patterns easily. But organizing it is so challenging! As for the introvert/extravert aspect, I’d say I generally recharge much better alone but I also need to verbally process my thoughts with another person a lot of the time. But I have a hard time figuring out if I use Fi or Ne more! Anyways I appreciated your comment and if you have more feedback I’m open to hearing it :)

Finishing used to be a big problem for me. As I have developed, I now finish many projects - even if only to see them to completion and to have that sense of accomplishment and closure. However, like you said, some things take a long time to complete.

Let me just say that George Carlin quote is a godsend. I've never come across another statement that encapsulates my sentiments towards people as perfectly as this one. I've always had an aversion to the idea of exclusively belonging to a clique. A friend of mine once said she couldn't wait to join a sorority in university and I just couldn't understand why. For me, being part of a group like that would be such a stifling experience. One of the struggles of being an ENFP is the constant pressure from less understanding types for us to commit to one friend group. Growing up, I've had many conflicts with possessive friends who eventually ostracised me simply because I wasn't willing to hang out with them every lunch period. I'm glad that has changed since high school.
I'm an ENFP and my best friend is an ENTP, i was the one who told him to do the test and once it was done and we were talking, he said that the big difference between us was that he was more rational. I'll give the example he use, we're both vegans and have different reasons to choose this lifestyle. He did it because he was thiking on the convinience on prices and the impact of his health, so when the lockdown happened and prices rised up AS HELL, he started introducing egg and milk again and stuff like that. On the other hand, i quit meat because of my morals, because i value animals and i just feel its not fair to kill them when i can get the nutrients from plants, surely the price and the convinience during lockdown is killing me, but i just feel that could be my dog and i just can't.
I'm an ENFP and the credit for my survival so far goes to my extroverted intuition. Praised be the gods of magical plot armour that has protected me so far for I'm stubbornly ignoring my brain far too often 😂😂😂

You're right about the projects thing, I've done my best to limit the amount of projects at the same time so I feel its a little more manageable and not overwhelming. As an ISFP teacher of high school freshman, I can say that most ENFP students’ energy and hilarious random observations make their distracting rambunctiousness and academic laziness a little easier to put up with. The challenge is focusing that energy and insight into something productive. 😂

My ex, an ENFP, would start many amazing projects, while I, an INFJ, would dig in and try to complete these projects. I needed that box ticked dammit, while at the same time flabbergasted that he's now off with something else! Sigh. In this respect, it did help me to start something which I find hard to do. It was complimentary to some degree (minus the odd frustration).

I score INFP on the test all the time, but I think my BPD makes me juggling with the cognitive functions (also mentally exhausted all the time), and sometimes I'm more of an ENFP. it really depends on my mood and triggers. When I split on myself I'm def an INFP.

Leonardo took 16 yrs to finish the Mona Lisa.....this gives me a lot of hope. I can't stop my self from coming up with new exciting ideas and starting new things before finishing my projects! I really want to go back and finish past passion projects, however, I've come to embrace the fact that I actually love the process or the journey of a project more than the satisfaction of simply just finishing a project. (with that said....I really do need to finish some of my projects like the adventure film I started around the U.S. (California, NY, Florida, Kansas, Missourri) Beliza, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Italy, Tanzania, Kenya, Zanzibar, Germany, Mexico etc. I got so caught up in the filming, fun and experience that friends and others ended up asking, " Is there actually an ending to this film?" . After 10 yrs I would really like to say 'yes'. But hey...whatever, its been a blast!
Am an ENFP who has been recently rly let down and discouraged bc the people around me haven’t been reciprocating friendships and I feel like I’ve not been appreciated enough. Then I go in a loop that I’m too sensitive and feel too much and it bums be out. I haven’t done any wrong and I’m trying to come to terms w that ppl can just do what they want and that might mean I may not be a part of it but it’s makes me sad sometimes when I rly enjoy ppl and try to create a bond but it’s just not reciprocated
I can relate to the struggle, I took a test that says I’m ENFP but I hate people but a lot of the personality traits I have are ENFP i’m getting rejected by women for not reciprocating to romantic interests or unreciprocated attraction from getting ghosted or blocked or never once in my number or straight up were just being cold and giving out the uninterested body language when I just wanted so bad, he defeated me a lot from many women and girls that I had crushes on when I was in school, trying to become friends with bullies or in general with people who hate me. Got taken advantage of when I was being trying to be kind to others, I hate that I can be annoying sometimes which can make people hate me, I try to love people, but at the same time I hate people it makes me act cold a lot. And because we ENFPs are people pleasures, being hated on hurts us like atleast with me I felt like I disappointed some for something that’s unforgivable but sometimes I think that some people are not worth dealing with because well we are too different

I joined a choir at an Episcopal church where a friend of mine became musical director. I am perfectly happy with being a congregant without becoming an Episcopalian. The rector is a First Nations female with an extensive background in anthropology and history. Her sermons and a congregation that has several warmly accepted gay married couples makes it a place I want to be, but I also have my lifelong identity as a Roman Catholic to nurture in my own special way. When I get to read, cantor or solo, then I have the audience I've been needing.

as an enfp i don't have any extremely close one-on-one friends, and it's been making me feel very lonely. thinking about it now, all the "true" friendships i've ever had have been with one person.
Types with high Ne often do not seem to finish when they start projects, while in actuality they do finish them. The miconception they might even have themselves is that they started them to finish these projects in the concrete, while in actuality the real project was always to extract the abstract patterns. Once the patterns are harvested, the concrete project is now only an empty shell for them, without any meaning left in it and is thus obviously abandoned.
This interpretation is excellent, extremely well said. I might need to use this way of understanding it in a future video. The fact that "finishing something" or "achieving the goal" differs greatly depending on your type ~ Nathan

Yes, ENFP's are the cutest things ever. I love the way they are so open and soft that they break through your armour and then have the decency not to abuse that. Also I kind of want to help them. They are these clumsy, unorganised goofballs that I feel I have to help organise in small ways without them knowing e.g. reminding them of things they have to do, secretly organise their school bags, teach them time management etc. And they do tend to wear their hearts on their sleeves and would often get hurt, so I kind of feel the need to protect them from the 'bad' of the world and enjoy hearing them talk about their idealistic plans for humankind.

As an ENFP, I absolutely agree that I have a strong set of moral values. I am religious and much more conservative than many of my friends. That being said, while I may not be willing to budge on my Christian perspective of certain topics, I am ALWAYS willing to listen to what the other side has to say. I understand that everyone has different experiences than me, and so while I have a general idea of how the world works, I am willing to hear other people's perspectives, views and ideas. We may disagree on certain issues, but I am one who wants to be friends with others who have different ideas than me.
As a pantheist I would like to agree on this too, I understand others have differing perspectives and we (for the most part) want our neighbours, our brothers and sisters, our friends to succeed. We mustn't not let our biases to cause others harm.

I agree a lot with the laugh at/with/for part. I will often be intentionally dumb or intentionally not understand or do something incorrectly just for the entertainment of others.
Also: you know you're not en ENFP if you don't enjoy chaotic environments. As chaos ourselves, we can take center role within and perpetuate it (for fun)! The few classes I've felt popular in are the ones that have been the most chaotic. I also implemented the above point in that class pretty often and it works pretty well

Double observer vs double decider is what might be more noticable. I'm ENFP and my single observer makes me constantly take in information but I don't do the best job of organising it. I'd like to have it super well organized but it's kind of a drag to have to organize it all since there's so much and I so easily go into gather concepts, patterns and information mode.
Also is it still a thing to say introverts get their energy from being alone and get drained from being around people and vice versa? If they don't get their energy that way introverts at least don't expend it while being alone and extraverts don't while being with people.

I would definitely say that I have difficulty organizing my thoughts and I gather information and connect patterns easily. But organizing it is so challenging! As for the introvert/extravert aspect, I’d say I generally recharge much better alone but I also need to verbally process my thoughts with another person a lot of the time. But I have a hard time figuring out if I use Fi or Ne more! Anyways I appreciated your comment and if you have more feedback I’m open to hearing it :)

Do you make decisions usually based on logic or feeling? What is your first nature. Also do you have strong values you always consider when making a decision or more of a set of thinking patterns? The way is to realise which do you have: introverted thinking (entp) or introverted feeling (enfp). Search for the definition of those and determine which is more natural to you. They are among the 8 cognitive functions of the person according to theory. Both enfps and entps have extroverted intuition as their first and perceiving function, so you should look for the second ones, the ones I had mentioned above.

Finishing used to be a big problem for me. As I have developed, I now finish many projects - even if only to see them to completion and to have that sense of accomplishment and closure. However, like you said, some things take a long time to complete.

Let me just say that George Carlin quote is a godsend. I've never come across another statement that encapsulates my sentiments towards people as perfectly as this one. I've always had an aversion to the idea of exclusively belonging to a clique. A friend of mine once said she couldn't wait to join a sorority in university and I just couldn't understand why. For me, being part of a group like that would be such a stifling experience. One of the struggles of being an ENFP is the constant pressure from less understanding types for us to commit to one friend group. Growing up, I've had many conflicts with possessive friends who eventually ostracised me simply because I wasn't willing to hang out with them every lunch period. I'm glad that has changed since high school.

I'm an ENFP and my best friend is an ENTP, i was the one who told him to do the test and once it was done and we were talking, he said that the big difference between us was that he was more rational. I'll give the example he use, we're both vegans and have different reasons to choose this lifestyle. He did it because he was thiking on the convinience on prices and the impact of his health, so when the lockdown happened and prices rised up AS HELL, he started introducing egg and milk again and stuff like that. On the other hand, i quit meat because of my morals, because i value animals and i just feel its not fair to kill them when i can get the nutrients from plants, surely the price and the convinience during lockdown is killing me, but i just feel that could be my dog and i just can't.
I'm an ENFP and the credit for my survival so far goes to my extroverted intuition. Praised be the gods of magical plot armour that has protected me so far for I'm stubbornly ignoring my brain far too often 😂😂😂

I always find it annoying whenever I see ENFP videos on RUclips where we arent described for our creativity and intellect and are just seen as spontaneous unicorn backpackers who don't like to discuss intellectual ideas and concepts. I love to discuss deep matters, but I also have a curious 'child like' side to myself too. It sometimes confuses people. You're right about the projects thing, I've done my best to limit the amount of projects at the same time so I feel its a little more manageable and not overwhelming. As an ENFP I see so many possibilities and have so many ideas that it can be overwhelming regarding what to start and do etc. I'm doing my best to be more organised and it's helping me tho 😊 thank you for your video.

As an ISFP teacher of high school freshman, I can say that most ENFP students’ energy and hilarious random observations make their distracting rambunctiousness and academic laziness a little easier to put up with. The challenge is focusing that energy and insight into something productive. 😂

"Strange soup of their brain", love it, 100% accurate. I usually refer to it as a tornado of thoughts that only becomes tameable and somewhat clear and organised when talking.
My ex, an ENFP, would start many amazing projects, while I, an INFJ, would dig in and try to complete these projects. I needed that box ticked dammit, while at the same time flabbergasted that he's now off with something else! Sigh. In this respect, it did help me to start something which I find hard to do. It was complimentary to some degree (minus the odd frustration).

Aahh the ENFPs, my two younger sisters.
They are ridiculously funny, love the limelight, kinda reminds me of a jester at times. But the way they express their humour could get them in trouble too.
Nothing beats their warm caring heart though. They care without wanting or pressuring you for thanks/validation, it amazes me.
ENFP, ENTP and INTJ are similar that I can feel I'm 3 of them. I literally make a new personality depending on who I'm with.

So what you're referring to with the 'saviours' is most likely the Objective Personality system, go and check them out, in their system you might be a "jumper type." ~ Nathan

I score INFP on the test all the time, but I think my BPD makes me juggling with the cognitive functions (also mentally exhausted all the time), and sometimes I'm more of an ENFP. it really depends on my mood and triggers. When I split on myself I'm def an INFP.

First, where have you been all my life? Second, I love your way and vocabulary choices of describing anything. Third, as an ENFP, you have liberated me with the line "Starting a million projects and finishing hardly any of them is - I believe - part of the creative process for some people." It makes complete sense! I have been given a hard time for this, as you've mentioned, and made the mistake of internalising it as a failure... Leonardo took 16 yrs to finish the Mona Lisa.....this gives me a lot of hope. I can't stop my self from coming up with new exciting ideas and starting new things before finishing my projects! I really want to go back and finish past passion projects, however, I've come to embrace the fact that I actually love the process or the journey of a project more than the satisfaction of simply just finishing a project. (with that said....I really do need to finish some of my projects like the adventure film I started around the U.S. (California, NY, Florida, Kansas, Missourri) Beliza, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Italy, Tanzania, Kenya, Zanzibar, Germany, Mexico etc. I got so caught up in the filming, fun and experience that friends and others ended up asking, " Is there actually an ending to this film?" . After 10 yrs I would really like to say 'yes'. But hey...whatever, its been a blast!
Am an ENFP who has been recently rly let down and discouraged bc the people around me haven’t been reciprocating friendships and I feel like I’ve not been appreciated enough. Then I go in a loop that I’m too sensitive and feel too much and it bums be out. I haven’t done any wrong and I’m trying to come to terms w that ppl can just do what they want and that might mean I may not be a part of it but it’s makes me sad sometimes when I rly enjoy ppl and try to create a bond but it’s just not reciprocated
I can relate to the struggle, I took a test that says I’m ENFP but I hate people but a lot of the personality traits I have are ENFP i’m getting rejected by women for not reciprocating to romantic interests or unreciprocated attraction from getting ghosted or blocked or never once in my number or straight up were just being cold and giving out the uninterested body language when I just wanted so bad, he defeated me a lot from many women and girls that I had crushes on when I was in school, trying to become friends with bullies or in general with people who hate me. Got taken advantage of when I was being trying to be kind to others, I hate that I can be annoying sometimes which can make people hate me, I try to love people, but at the same time I hate people it makes me act cold a lot. And because we ENFPs are people pleasures, being hated on hurts us like atleast with me I felt like I disappointed some for something that’s unforgivable but sometimes I think that some people are not worth dealing with because well we are too different

(I don't know if this is a personality-group quirk or a quirk specific to myself, but I enjoy hearing other people's perspectives on myself in order to further learn about how I come across to others. I joined a choir at an Episcopal church where a friend of mine became musical director. I am perfectly happy with being a congregant without becoming an Episcopalian. The rector is a First Nations female with an extensive background in anthropology and history. Her sermons and a congregation that has several warmly accepted gay married couples makes it a place I want to be, but I also have my lifelong identity as a Roman Catholic to nurture in my own special way. When I get to read, cantor or solo, then I have the audience I've been needing.
