I recommend getting flux paste, it helps the solder flow and bond better.

I think too much time on the internet has twisted the meaning of "After Dark" for me, so much so that I actually had to double take and check that was what TB actually said 💀
Anyway yeah I've burnt myself far too many times on a soldering iron too, they do indeed hurt.

Buy some soldering flux, dab a little bit on each end and it will be 10x easier.

A lot of it is cut out though so that part may not be as shown sadly. Personally I can’t think of a way to solder without flux but I’m also SUPER new still. Thanks again my man!! :)

This should be killer once you get the body shell! I've found that holding at least one of the pieces you are soldering in place with something other than your hands gets rid of at least some of the headache of soldering. Good luck with the rest of the project

I've never actually used a soldering iron before but I'm worried that if I were a novice I might accidentally burned myself
Just a tip, paint the inside of the lamp blck, and the outside white, black abosrbs the light so it won't shine through the resin.

These ones are made to work on 5v-12v and Tomy often falls a bit behind on that scale, they should have other ones that are on a smaller voltage though??
