The most interesting part is that.... You can't describe the feeling after watching the movie.... It's sad or gloomy or nostalgic somehow.... But mesmerising...........
Honda 혼다 it means anyone could be the killer, not just someone who looks suspicious, which was the type of person the cops were looking for the entire film.
Memories of Murder isn't a film, it's an once in a lifetime event. The purpose of the film was taken beyond entertainment. A film of this kind will not happen for every others easily. When the real killer was found after 30 years, I felt I was even part of this investigation and celebrated. Damn! Still gives me goosebumps!
@@SM-qb2zg on the films yes they didn't find the killer. But in real life, the killer already found by the police an he's already in jail for long time caused by another crime.
@@zu3834 There’s something in the music that takes you to places you’ve never been, places you feel nostalgic for and places you want to go to. With each place, you discover and know yourself better. My Favourite Movie. Always wanted to know what is written on the Scarecrow. Thank You for the Translation. Saw this Movie in Manchester when I was a student. This was my 1st ever Korean Movie. Today I am a Huge Fan of Korean Films & Korean Culture. Love Korea 🇰🇷 from India 🇮🇳
I reckon this is the kind of movie where, if you properly invest in it, allow yourself to be swept away, it has the capacity to really break your heart. This music just brings it all flooding back.
the piece of music at 2:11 always gives me chills. Not only does it sound great, but it reminds me of the final scene where Kang-Song Ho looks directly into the camera. Just brilliant acting and a terrific film.
Of all the soundtracks this is the one where I often come back to. Something about it triggers a very special feeling the first time I've seen the movie. Bong deserves all the credit he is given.
My favorite part is at 2:47 when the voice comes in. I think it fits with the music soo well! It makes me think about when its towards the end and all the detectives have done everything they could and the murderer was still not caught. Its like that voice in this ost just shows all the pain and agony the detectives went through to come up empty...truly an incredible movie.
You may like to know, the actual killer was caught 16 years after this movie was made. In late eighties there was no dna testing facility in S Korea, so sample was actually sent to Japan. The sample was preserved as well and the killer when again committed crime in 2019, was caught due to dna match.
The music invokes something in me which I try to hide from myself. It’s filling my soul with all the regrets of my life. I wish I can fix everything wrong in my life.
It's amazing how without even having seen the movie yet, the soundtrack makes you feel things, which may be more powerful if you have already seen the movie. Music has no barriers to express all that it has to show. Music has it's own language. Music... is universal.
This piece is so beautifully haunting! To me it expresses a deeply human nostalgia, tinted with regret but also one that calls us to cherish life's precious memories.
Why do i feel nostalgic about an era where i wasn’t born, a place I’ve never lived nor visited and most importantly because of a movie about a horrible tragedy 😢 I’m a mess
This music makes you feel that, something is missing which everybody are in search off ,and at the end after having futile attempts makes you more and more compassionate towards it.This music depicts the begining and ending but the path which connects both ends are in disarray
Truly beautiful score. I am a new Bong Joon-hoo fan but I already loved his other pieces (Parasite, Snowpiercer, The Host) each from their starts as well. Rewatched this movie for the 3rd time and this time all the way through, and the soundtrack is very powerful. Absolutely superb.
It's been years since I first watched it. This melody reminds me of something very tragic happened in the past. I think that's what memories of murder is
This music depict a monumental journey, not a long journey, maybe just in a short period, but that journey cant never be forgotten on your entire life, that journey touch your deepest mind and heart.
It was actually this sound score that made me put this wonderful masterpiece in my Top 3 Crime thrillers list ever made. I watched all Bong Joon Ho's work when Quentin put his movies in his list. Imo Memories of Murder is still his best work.
The first movie (and last one too) I saw in a theater in the whole 2020. It was february 22th, that same day we had the first death by coronavirus in Italy. Since then it was a matter of time before the pandemic nightmare blew up. It's weird, considering that's a serial killer movie, but it will always remember me of happier times

Yeah the Korean police caught him because there was DNA found in victim's cloth. BUT he was already in prison more than 10 years for killing his wife's younger sister.
Eva Park thats fucking insane man 😨😨😨 I finished watching the movie today and what’s eerie to me after I have been knowing that the real culprit was identified is the fact that the The movie’s final suspect looks exactly like the real killer when he was younger like holy fuck
