Mayorkas must be held in contempt for refusing to answer the honorable senator and for pointing a finger at him. He probably forgot that he was summoned by the committee and therefore must answer based on facts. The questions thrown at him were all according to the purpose of the committee.

Alejandro Nicholas Mayorkas (born November 24, 1959) is an American lawyer and politician who has been serving as the seventh United States Secretary of Homeland Security since February 2, 2021. During the Obama administration, he also served in the Department of Homeland Security, first as director of United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (2009-2013), and then as deputy secretary of DHS (2013-2016). He was effectively asked his opinion on a US citizen exercising her right to freedom of speech and asked why he's not done anything to an employee he's likely never heard of because she posted something on Twitter. A lot of big talk from a guy who can never ever answer a question. His mother was a Holocaust survivor. His father was a Cuban Jew. He has the absolute gall to be offended when all he has done in DHS is look the other way and take up space. What a disgusting disgrace.
What exactly did he look the other way on? You do realize that Freedom of Speech protects *all* speech that isn't illegal, right? And that a foreign country is not entitled to the protection of US law? The lady literally did nothing wrong from a *LEGAL* standpoint.
First Amendment in general doesn't apply when it's involves her role in federal law enforcement, in which DHS is. The only reason she gets away with is because Mayorkas is tainted and weak. If it were not a problem, she would not have been placed on paid leave as Mayorkas states; so evidently, it was problematic enough to remove her from active duty until "things cooled down". But I bet if her case was made public, Mayorkas would let her go. First Amendment is not the "one all, be all" in her case.
The first amendment does apply here. If she's working for the feds, I'd think things like the constitution and a bunch of other big rules would be followed quite closely. The only reason she was put on leave is because its a fake punishment. She gets to collect a paycheck while not going into work and people get to feel good knowing she's somehow been "punished". Being an idiot on Twitter isn't a crime in the US, and people shouldn't be getting cancelled for anything they say on the internet that doesn't violate US law.@@fcruzdj2
