Interesting. And thanks for the written instructions. I was wondering if the platinum titanium would have still been accessible sisnce they weren't showing in inventory. I have a question or two. 1. What if you don't have The Thunderer? (I do have the Wing Axe though) 2. After the Quicksave, which Save to load? The same save from the Quicksave or a Save from just before doing the downgrade, or one even prior to that?
You are welcome! Yes, the platinum ingot is saved in the database, even though it is not being shown (yet). I could upgrade the Twilight Armor set regularly through the blacksmith with these "invisible" platinum ingots. 1. It works, too, but a bit slower. If you have more items from the helix store, they could work too. I don't have more weapons to try. 2. You load the latest save that you just have saved - you want to keep the newly acquired materials! By loading the latest save, you trigger the event "we have just upgraded your Helix items to divine".
@@Shentao83 Thanks again so much for your share. I was able to do it following your simple instructions. I used the Wing axe and Shattered axe as those two supplied 3 platinum ingots each. Did it about three to four times for approx 18-24 platinum ingots. Surprisingly enough I was also able to upgrade one of the non-store weapons, the Eclipse scythe from Mythical to Divine and fully upgrade it. Only thing is after so doing I noticed the name of the scythe "Eclipse" was no longer visible in description, just "Divine Scythe" remained. The scythe was fully functional and more powerful though. I didn't try to do any more because I didn't want to chance names disappering with others. Didn't bother to upgrade Twilight either for same reason. Are you still seeing the name "Twilight" in yours after the upgrade?
Yes I upgraded the Twilight set fully, and it appears to have no bugs. I noticed the big with Eclipse, too. I guess that Ubi forgot to add the name for the upgrade. The different upgrade levels of the items have unique IDs in the source code. So when Ubi fixes this, the item stays the same but the name should be shown again correctly. At least I hope so!
Actually, Twilight should be automatically updated, too, since it counts as a Helix store item. I guess it is just a bug, that it has not been updated automatically!
@@Shentao83 Yeah hopefully the name "Eclipse" will appear again later. Also I'm assuming too the Twilight gear will be Divine once Ragnarok releases. As for the non-store gear, while they were not upgraded yet, I'm thinking they would be able to be upgraded to Divine legitimately once Ragnarok drops but will need platinum ingots found in the game for so doing.
Please let me know if this still works as of today. I don't have DoR yet, but any Helix item I buy from Reda's shop, or that I obtained from UbiConnect rewards, *cannot* be downgraded :3
The ingots are in the database, I'm pretty sure. I could upgrade my Twilight Armor set to divine even though I could not see the Ingots in-menu yet. The ore, leather and Titanium also stay in your inventory.
Didn't work on ps4 but is ok I have 1 very good farming location for platinum ingot and only got the dlc yesterday lol also think you need update my version is 1.6 I'm sure not 5
Well, let's see: Divine items can socket the new runes. Their stats are somewhat better, but it is not much. You can finish the expansion even on Aesir with mythical items just fine. It depends on your personal skill.
Yeah, if divine items would have like 6 upgrade steps instead of 3 it would make a bigger impact. Currently, you make something like 50 damage instead of 45 or 46. Not a real difference. Using the new hugr skills does make a fun and refreshing gameplay (raven assassination etc.)
@@Shentao83 in your opinion does valhalla and its expansions feel more like a entire different game and less like Assassin's Creed because to me it feels like I'm playing the ubisoft version of god of war
@@tylerberryhill8029 Yeah, I kinda get that feeling, too. It feels even less like "Assassins Creed", since Dawn of Ragnarok has basically 0% ISU lore or anything that ties with the AC lore. Assassinations are even less of an issue. With the hugr powers, the emphasis on fighting is even stronger imo. Yeah you can raven-assassinate and arrow-teleport-assassinate, but the the winter and rebirth powers are so good, that being stealthy is not needed. In Siege of Paris, you have at least something like stealth missions where being stealthy does indeed make more sense. But nontheless I still really like the expansion - the setting, music, story and new abilities are fun and refreshing.

It still works but only with certain items. Winged Axe and The Thunderer. Maybe other items, too, but these are the only 2 I know.
Tried it, weapons reset after loading save but didn’t see the platinum ingots anywhere in inventory. XSX if that makes a difference.

Unfortunately no :/

1.6 is not out yet. Current version is 1.5.0.1, as far as I know.
Where is your farm spot? Sounds interesting!

Does this still work?
I have no idea to be honest. I will try this evening.
yes it does
Tried on the 17/03/2022
you can’t downgrade helix items at all now😢
Yeah, as far as I know this is not possible anymore :(
How do I find it
You need to preorder the DLC Dawn of Ragnarok, then you have access to this.

Patched?
As of today, not yet (22nd March 2022)!
But I heard that this doesn't work on PS4. I canno confirm this, since I have not PS4 ...

I guess no, but I have not tried either.
